Ah, yes, Ranma 1/2 would never have existed in its myriad forms without Rumiko Takahashi, the female mangaka featured at the right.

Rumiko Takahashi is easily one of the most important, popular, and successful female mangaka in Japan. As can be seen in Ranma and many others of her works, she specializes in light-hearted comedy; however, she has done more serious less comical works, such as Inuyasha and several of her Rumic Theater/World stories. One thing can be stated for certain however, Takahashi has an art style that is undeniably her own, with solid yet fluid lines and the delicate watercolors of her colored characters (which may or may not be her own work... I don't know.)

I don't want to completely reiterate some of the various sites that describe her (such as Rumiko Takahashi - The Rumic Page and Takahashi Rumiko's World), but I do feel that it is necessary to provide a few stats on Takahashi-san (the table under her picture). Unfortunately, at this time, I cannot figure out anything more to put on this page, but there will be more as I think of it. Maybe a bio perhaps?
