One question, is it alright if the transformation doesn't happen until the last little bit of the story? I have an idea but the transformation is pretty much the solution to the conflict and as such can not happen until near the very end.

There just needs to be some kind of transformation (a magical girl's transformation applies). No TG transformation required.

@Stellar: Couldn't you enhance descriptions a little (not as in long, lengthy, thesaurus-aided chains of adjective, but with additional phrases and sentences), or perhaps add a touch more 'backstory' or the like to it?

I'm at approximately 7000 words with prolly another 1000 - 3000 to go.
