[Spoilers to come!] Rebuild of Evangelion Redux

So, as many of you may know, I'm a HUGE fan of Evangelion, with the new reboot/retelling/sequel to Eva, Rebuild of Eva being well underway right now.

And as it would happen, Eva 2.22 was recently released on DVD/Blu-Ray. So, the question is who's seen it, what're your thoughts, and what expectations do you have for the future movies?

I watched it when it was pirated... I thought ti was awesome but am confused by the renaming of Asuka

I think it's partly to standardize the naming convention of the girls' last names: with the 'nami' being at the end of the name, that is.

I think it may have something to do with the Chosen Children that were mentioned in the preview at the end of 2.22.

I saw 2.0 when it first came out, but the recent release of 2.22 was brilliant- visuals were touched up and there were a couple extra scenes, I think.

That said: Super Berserker was awesome.

But God Mode was the best, dayum.

really more scenes did they do the same for the first one?

As in, between 1.0 and 1.11? I think so, but I haven't seen 1.11 yet, I just got 1.01.

Seems that the ones that are multiples of 11 are the director's cut versions, so they show a bit extra.
