Each year, they always come out with the newest and best games and toys. In the 1980's Cabbage Patch Kids, Transformers, and GI Joe (all from Hasbro) were the big sellers. Nitendo replaced the Commodore 64 and Atari as the video game console, with the introduction of the famous Mario Brothers, and their cartoon, the Super Mario Brothers Supershow. Hulk Hogan had his own cartoon, Hulk Hogan's Rock N' Wrestling. That Dungeons and Dragons cartoon was awesome as well. (Peter Cullen voiced Venger, the main villain for the cartoon). WWE legend, the late Captain Lou Albano shaved his trademark beard to play the live segment version of Mario, and his live segment included Magic Johnson and Sgt Slaughter. The 1990's gave us those WWE Action figures and ring playsets, (even in the 1980's, those thumb wrestling figures of the Iron Shiek and Hulk Hogan were big sellers). The late 1990's brought the Massive Online RPG genre to the fore-front with the debut of World of Warcraft and City of Heroes, as well as the related expansions like Burning Crusade and Lich King, and City of Villains, as well as the Going Rogue expansion for the City of Heroes game. Now, Dec. 7, 2010, World of Warcraft released the new expansion, Cataclysm.
The big toy/gamesellers of 2010 are:
XBox 360 Kinetix - Kinetimals is a new game, where you can interact with the animals like baby tigers and the like, provided you have the Kinetix system
Play Station 3
Nitendo Wii
WWE Smackdown v Raw 2011
Monster High dolls (mostly for the girls); the cartoons for the dolls are on Youtube, featuring Frankie Stein, teenage daughter of Frankenstein and Bride of Frankstein, attending a school for the kids of the legendary monsters. Laguna Blue (daughter of the Blue Lagoon Monster), Claudia Wolf (Werewolf), and Ghoulia (an undead girl) and Dracula's daughter all have dolls from the cartoons. There's a website for the doll line, http://www.monsterhigh.com.
WoW Cataclysm -Deathwing returns and everything has changed; two new races, and new class combinations
What do you think about the new games/toys this year? Things are a bit tight for me this year.
