So did anyone else read this? Do you now feel dumber for having done so.. I mean Doesn't Satan have better things to do than Ruin a marrage?

will it's mephisto not satan though he's pretty much the same thing in the marvel universe.

honestly... this is the worst retcon... well 2nd worst... 1st is the whole amazon crap over on dc, though this comes pretty close.

pretty much this unwrote and will now need retconning of the last 10-20 years of spiderman stories, so the next 50 issues or so will be retelling us in a different angle what happened in the past.

either way it's bad.... really bad.

When the writer of a work doesn't want his name on it that says something especially about EIC mandates and Joe Q hating marrage.

Well, I don't think it was just EIC mandates. Or even Joe Q hating marriage. It was they all set up the next year stories, and it hinged on the end. So they had to make sure it ended that way.

Ah, did not know that. I never had a problem with it, but I aint runnin marvel. It's a big retcon, i admit, but it's not the worst thing I've read.

I think its one of the worst retcons I have read. They get rid of 20 years of continuity to deal with the mask.. to deal with making spiderman interesting they remove the last 20 years.... and by having the devil show up to mess with it.

I've been hearing about this a lot lately. Just what happened in Spider-man?

Eh, I know it's really bad of me to say. But that's kinda why I just asked here. All I wanted was a short condensed explination. I don't really care about Marvel comics, or spider-man enough to want to read through everything in those two articles.

I think I've managed to gather enough though, so yeah. Question answered.

The Wikipedia article is a pretty consise to the point summary, maybe a page or two of text to explain it. Not a long drawn out thing.

Admitingly I didn't think to check for a wiki. I was just annoyed at the 'Google is your friend' comment, as it felt like it was saying I was too stupid to just google it.

Frankly, I just didn't want to go browsing through the hundred pages telling me good places to buy the comic. I couldn't think of anyplace to go except a message board. Which I knew of none, and didn't want to try and randomly 'bump into'.

But still, it did answer my question, and I am thankfull.

Wow, I read the wikipedia description. That.. That's hilariously awful, to the point I really have nothing else to say. Just laughter.
