"J-pop idol in a box"

So if you have not heard yet. These is this new J-pop idol named "Miku Hatsune". Spossable she has become quite populer.

Normaly this wouldn't be that interesting accept for the fact she does not exsit. Her Voice is acculy a symphonizor. Now this isn't like the symphonizor or the old days like you hear in "Clock Crew" and "Lock Legion" flash cartoons. Or for example the "Chuck Norris in oblivion" cartoons on you tube. (If you look any of thows videos up. Be warn, there be swearing. Alot of swearing)

Here are some of the videos and songs people (don't ask who. I can't figure out) have made. (And also yes. I'm uesing her as my avatar right now. XD )

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3fOXQXpUR4A (It's the lucky Star Theam. It should be noted this is one of the weaker videos in how she sings.)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xXHY6zWW ... re=related (And this is one of the best ones from what I've seen.)

And one of epic-ness.

A remix uesing the audio from the german kid who smashes his keybored. Kinda scary but interesting.

The quility of signing there doing with these are amazing. Now I'm not expert in the Japaneses lanage so I can't say how perfect it is. But just listening to it alone I would of never knew it wasn't a real signer. It's kinda scary to think one day programs could in theory make the singer obsolete. At lest for Main stream music, were bands just copy the singing of other bands.

Also to show the power of this softwear. Some one made "voi che sapete" from Mozarts's "le Nozze di Figaro" in the program. Thow the program was made to only ues songs writen in japaness and there were some italian consonants that she could not pronoce, they manged to fuge it as cloes as they could.

Also should be noted. Alot of these are by just people sitting at home playing with the program.

Yeah, I've heard of her. Just another cute thing, and that's all that I'm willing to give. I'm not into popular culture.

Same here. But the quility of singing they get from this program is quite amazing. (Fun fact. Her voice is acculy made up from 3 diffrent signers. One of witch is british) To me it's the tecnology and hard work that went into this program is utterly amazing. I can not help but think if this catches here in the west, or even other music genres. It has the potential to rock the music industry. (Not saying it will, but you have to admit. It's there.)

This really isn't anythin new. Synthing voice has been around for a long time. I still remember beating Captain Comando, and freakin when he spoke to us. While this is a lot better than the previous stuff, it's not gonna really change mucha anythin.

I'm not sure about any of the voice synthisors you've heard before. But nothing I've seen before has anything on this. I'm still kinda blown out of the water by how good it sounds.
