I'm almost certain that you don't have
this manga series.
And that's pretty much it. I'm poor so my manga collection in general is meager. But I was able to pick these up. So far it's still my most favorite manga. Even though I have to read an online translation for them. XD;;

No I don't have that manga series. Not only have I never seen it, but simply put if I -had- found it. I'd not pick it up anyway considering It's in Japanese and I couldn't read it.
I know a lot of people buy Japanese manga just to have or look at the artwork. But me?
Unless I can you know READ the story, I don't see any point in buying it. To me it'd be a waste of money.
Now, not saying I wouldn't buy ANY Japanese manga. But it'd have to be like MegaMan manga or something. Something I just want to collect period.

It's the only thing in Japanese that I own. I probably would have got it regardless, but I did know of a translation before I began to find them.
There's a scanlation of Dragon half out there, although the site's bandwidth is usually exceeded. ;/
I guess Dragon half to me is alikened to how Megaman is to you. Except Megaman stuff is still in production and I have all that will be made for Dragon half.

Eh, I would buy a Japanese manga if it was really cheep to be honest. My friend bought a Claymore manga in Japanese from a Goodwill (Thrift store) for 75 Cents not to long ago.
As for that MegaMan comment. Yeah, I'm lucky that MegaMan is still around. However it's not like the orginal MegaMan or even the X series are still going. Mostly it's that Battle Network/Star Force stuff now. Which I rather dislike. (Except the Star Force anime. That's awsome! Though I've only seen it fansubbed not dubbed)
I'm lucky the ZX series retains what I love about MegaMan, and just have to hope it keeps going.
As for reading Dragon Half scanlated. I'd just go here:
http://www.onemanga.com/Got it and plenty more. ^_^

The only (arguably) real Megaman experience that I've had, was with the Misadventures of Tron Bonne game. I really enjoyed it, and I plan to get the game again, whenever the opportunity arises. I played some of the first games waaaaay back when I was a munchkin, but I don't count those since I barely remember anything about them. I've always considered Megaman in a nice light, but I've never really had the impetus to get any of the games. Mostly because I'm poor and I have to work through my greater interests first.
It's a strange coincidence that Dragon half was added there just a few days ago. I mean, honestly. I must have a yet-to-be-classified ability that makes me a coincidence magnet. Or are these really coincidences? *Creepy music*

Why not just get roms? It'd be cheeper to buy a controller for the computer. I wouldn't normally suggest such a thing, but in your situation, I think it'd be perfect.

I've been considering it. I do have a controller, now, which would make it easier to play. The keyboard can be a literal pain in the wrists/hands/arms, and I'm not as good with one as I am with a controller. (It was a miracle that I got through Soul blazer with a keyboard.)
Oh... I was just reminded that I have one other thing in Japanese, which also happens to be Dragon half. It's a game that seems to be half RPG and half board game. I've played it, and the battles are amusing, but between it being in Japanese and not being completely compatible with the emulator (I think; it might just be that my computer's main language isn't Japanese or something, which I haven't tried yet), I can't hope to ever get anywhere with it.
