Mnemosyne

Pros: Really interesting science fiction story about an immortal detective. The story itself spans generations, starting in the near future and ending in the not so near future. Also, the episodes are 45 minutes long

Cons: weird violent lesbian torture sex, weird violent heterosexual torture sex, weird violent (Whatever you call it when a hermaphrodite and a girl are in a sexual relationship) sex. And various other kinds of weird, lewd etc. Also a lot of violence and sex/nudity that come separately. 100% work unsafe, and most certainly 18+ (Though it's not considered hentai) Also, the episodes are on a monthly release schedule (Online, cause there's no way they could show this on public television) and there's only going to be six episodes.

Overall, a very good series that gets more interesting with every episode at least once you get past the gore/weird sex scenes/weird gorey sex scenes. Of course, a good number of people may consider those scenes a positive.

7/10 (Would be a 9.5 if the sex wasn't there to the point of being ridiculous.) If you're easily, or even not so easily, disturbed by violence and or weird sex scenes then Mnemosyne probably isn't for you.

If you can get past that because far too much exposure to videogames and google image search results have completely erased your moral standards, if you have no conscience that can be roused by anything you see on TV or your computer and if you like cyberpunk, then you should probably give Mnemosyne a shot.

Fortunately I won't have to test my "morality" due to the fact that I lost interest with "detective." XD;; Well... Okay, I know I'm about as jaded as they come, but still. <_<;

Anyway, with all of this sex and stuff, am I to assume that it's a vital part of the plot, or just some related tangents or something?

More like finding lost cats/locating a rare stamp then Detective Conan. Of course things tend to get more involved then they first appear; but it's a lot more cyberpunk and a lot less weird murder mystery.

Some of it is of vital importance to the plot. In fact they incorporate it quite interestingly in one way in particular. The rest of the time it seems to me as rather random and a bit excessive, too the point where you could make a recognizable parody.

I really like the series, even with the sexual quirks.

I think they are tied rather well into things.

P.S. The dog is the bestest

fun series but it has so many logic/plot flaws, though i guess they expect the sci fi/fantasy ero bondage fantasy to overshadow those flaws..
