I liked it, though there were Groanworthy bits, I like especially that the Vulcans were portrayed as Stoic rather than fleshy robots.

While I certainly took minor issues with little bits of the movie, (the villains, I think, were what I had the most problem with), I really enjoyed what they did with it on the whole--if they can keep the quality up, I would be delighted to see further movies/shows...? from this new reboot.

I think the very idea behind the reboot was very neat, but I'll keep my mouth shut about it for now.

Overall, I enjoyed the movie and thought it was very well made. And several actors were very, very good. Scotty and the Doc come to mind especially, but everyone did a good job.

Just saw it this evening, and I really liked it. Plenty of shout outs to the classic series while still doing it's own thing. I'm not sure it quite qualifies as Star Trek, but it's very enjoyable.

I actually liked how the villains were, I guess this is slightly spolierish, a guy with a mining vessel and his crew with a huge desire for vengeance. And a planet drill. That was something else.

I had never watched anything Star Trek before, and after watching that movie, I had the urge to go online, and *cough* borrow*Cough* a bunch of episodes using utorrent, and I have to say, I liked it a lot.

 Star Trek series must be trouble to download, having hour long episodes and seven seasons at 25 episodes a piece... btw, which series are you watching because some *ahem* the last two *ahem* are questionable at best.

I was thinking about starting at numero uno and working my way forward, however i might consider skipping the last two, just because of a gut feeling...

and for the issue of downloading that much stuff, I has a 1TB external drive....lotsa anime, music and similarly downloaded games....though thats supposed to be a secret...so hush hush..
