They are making a movie about the Green Hornet, a masked crime fighter with an Asian sidekick in the post-Prohibition era (1930's).
Britt Reid (Seth Rogan) is the great-Great grandson of the famous Lone Ranger, the masked cowboy with the white horse, Silver, and his trademark silver bullets. His dad owns a publishing company, in which Britt Reid inherits after his father is killed by the mob boss (the main villain in the story unites all the mobs in the city into one big mob conglomerate. Britt seeks to take down the organized mob, and so enlists his best friend and employee, Kato, to join him in taking down the criminals, posing as criminals, but fighting the mob. Britt Reid adopts the nom de guerre of the Green Hornet, and uses his vast fortune to create the Green Hornet's trademark Black Beauty (the car the Green Hornet and Kato use), as well as the Hornet Stingers, the guns the Hornet uses against the thugs.
I think that Bruce Lee once stared in the old Green Hornet tv show as Kato, the driver of the Black Beauty. This new movie is a remake of an old classic.
They are making a Green Lantern movie, with Air Force Pilot Hal Jordan (Ryan Reynolds) saving an alien who gives him a green power ring to become the new Green Lantern.
Harry Potter: Deathly Hollows, part 2 is the final in the book series. Harry finally confronts the evil wizard responsible for his parents' deaths and the scar, as well as the torment he put Harry through since Chamber of Secrets and Prisoner of Azkaban. Yes, the One who Must Not be Named (Voldemort).
Transformers 3 - The astronauts who landed on the Moon on June 21, 1969 discover they were not the first to visit the lunar surface, a secret that NASA kept under wraps for over 40 years. Optimus Prime and the Autobots are hiding out on Earth, disguised as Earth vehicle modes. New Autobots and Decepticons show up to do battle, such as the Wreckers and the Stunticons.
Big Mama's House 3 (Like Father, Like Son): Marlon Wayans reprises his role as Big Mama to go undercover at an all-girls school to hide his step-son after he witnesses a murder. The step-son assumes the role of Big Mama's grand-niece, Charmaine. Wackiness ensues.
Season of the Witch: Set in medevil Europe, Nicolas Cage plays a knight who is sent on a quest to destroy a witch responsible for spreading the Black Plague through his town. After talking with a dying Bishop (Ron Perlman), our brave knight and his companions must escort the witch prisoner to the bishop's superiors to destroy her powers over the town before she spreads the plague all over Europe.
Smurfs - Really? Gargamel (Hank Azaria)'s latest plot to destroy the Smurfs ends up with our little blue heroes sent to our dimension. Papa Smurf must find human allies in the new world to get them back home to Smurf Village and defeat the evil sorcerer before Gargamel destroys their world.
