The 3rd installment of the Transformers franchise hits theaters today, and its a good plot.

Plot Spoilers: Sentinel Prime (voiced by Leonard Nimoy) crashed on the Moon, and was discovered by NASA astronauts Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin (who make cameos as themselves). Sentinel Prime was transporting special Space Bridge beacons when the Decepticons attacked his ship, the Ark.

Meanwhile Sam and his new girlfriend Carly try to find work and love, while at the same time, deal with a Decepticon invasion. Enter the Wreckers, who are Autobot specialists in destroying Decepticons and building ships.

Shockwave, Soundwave, Megatron, Laserbeak, Starscream are all in this movie.

I enjoyed the movie. It was better than the second one, but not quite as good as the first one. It was still an excellent movie!

:o

Quite possibly the worst film I have ever seen! It's racist, sexist and homophobic. The characters are paper thin and the acting is awful. Shia LaBoeuf is a charisma-vacuum and the female lead makes Megan Fox look like Audrey Hepburn! The editing on action scenes is atrocious from their obsession with changing the camera shot every two seconds, and the final battle sequence takes AN HOUR. The whole film is ridiculously long because of it. It's not just bad, it's offensive.

...from your reaction, I don't think the film was made for you, Harri.

And if you want to see a film WORSE than this one, watch Bewitched. That ought to change your tune on what's bad (in your opinion)...and what's...BAAAAAAD (in my opinion).

But, anyways, I just got back from watching the movie and thought it was pretty darn good. That's just my opinion, though. I really loved the music getting into some of the parts of the movie, especially as they are heading into the destruction when Iridescent starts. Other than the corny parts that covered a good part of the first hour of it, and the fact that they probably could have left out Sam's parents showing up again (in what little they do), the movie, as a whole, was pretty good. Once the plot (and believe me, there was one) picked up steam, the movie really got rolling and got better as it went on, all through the end.

The part where Carly stood up to Megatron and told him that Sentinel made him his b**** took some courage.

The explanations of Chernobl (Ukraine) and the assassinations/conspiracy why there hadn't been a lunar landing since 1972 made you believe the Decepticons were planning something huge. Somehow, there were humans who willingly wanted to work with them, like Sam's boss.

I was actually surprised that Sentinel would willingly work with Megatron to bring Cybertron to Earth. It was cool that most of the movie took place in Chicago. The final battle at the corner of Whacker Drive and Michigan Avenue was awesome as well!
