((With the siblings.)) They find the room where it looks as if new forms for blade weaponry are being tested. Various models of blades are lain out for all to see, varying from bone daggers all the way up to energy based claymore style blades. Prototype Sabre X-784 is labeled across a sealed suitcase in the room.

Jarred / Ebony walks over to where the suitcase it.

"Found it sis, I mean, Ms. Lyra." I change a function on my belt and Ebony's voice comes out of my mouth. "I know how much you wanted to be one of the first to test this weapon. But I must warn you. It is still in the testing stages."

Lyra couldn't help it. She was intrigued.... She knew full well that they shouldn't be doing this. But it seemed like the two of them always got into madcap schemes and what not.... And just picking it up wouldn't hurt, would it? Looking at it for a minute? Rationalizing that way, Lyra nodded to her disguised brother and went to the prototype, hand resting lightly on the hilt.

Solomon walked into the prototype weapons room. He'd been tracking two voices, and they had finally stopped. He blinks as he watches them, wondering what the hell was going on. Wasn't there a male voice? "Hello?"

Lyra's head picked up. This was someone she didn't remember seeing before.... "Hello," she said, making sure to keep her voice even. "I was... just taking a look at some of these new pieces. Isn't that right?" She looked at Jarred, hoping he could maintain the Miss Ebony disguise until this stranger went on his way. Just because she was curious didn't mean she wanted to be caught....

"Really now? I'd love to see what the guild is doing with weapons these days.. Though I don't think they'd be as faithful as my blade is." He grinned broadly, walking forward.

Aw, great, he's sticking around. Just roll with it.... "Well, this one here is just a prototype. What it can do is still being worked out, you know? I was just... taking a look at the design." If he just pokes off on his own, maybe we can sneak out.... Problem was, that suit of armor of his was... rather distracting. Engraved scenes of death tend to be.... Especially on someone who looked... almost androgynous? Strange, that....

OOC: Here's a rough estimate of about what she looks like, though given it's a party, I don't think she'd be dressed at quite this level of informality.

This bites. Oh well, at least with my belt, I am 100% fool proof. Heck, I once became the old man and he thought he had a twin for a while.

Lyra studied the blade in her hand; she'd always liked such things, and was curious despite herself. Just don't talk too much, little bro, she thought. Keep it low-key....

OOC: Glad you like her! Well, she's very active and fit, so it makes sense she'd look pretty good.

Granted, dunno that anyone else here will notice. But at least you the player can appreciate the aesthetics, if nothing else.

You do have to register to use the generators, but it's easy and simple. Then you have a couple different ones to choose from. Have fun, and if you get anything good, hope you post it here for us to see.

((With Solomon and the sibs.)) The sabre in Lyra's hands looks fairly average at first glance. One can tell that it is made with yet another new metal, no doubt found in one of the newer discovered worlds. It feels strangely warm to the touch and gives off something akin to a pulse that seems to be slowly matching up with Lyra's own. Then handle and blade seem to be mostly unadorned, no glyphs or sigils lining it to give it extra power nor any technical gadgets or triggers standing out that would indicate it being one of the newer mechanical models. The metal it was forged of appears to be of a dull nature, no lustre or shine to it and yet it isn't black either. Almost a uniform grey one would think.

I grabbed my sisters arm, and like 2 girl friends, we began to leave the room. I sure hope he does not follow us again. He scares me a bit.

"Wait a minute. I... want to test this thing for a sec." Lyra gave the blade a few experimental moves, slow and almost casual, like one does when one was first confronted with a new weapon. Something about this thing was compelling.... She just wanted to test the balance, the weight. Then they'd be on their way. She could see Jarred was getting nervous. They couldn't risk slipping up....

I saw that look in my sisters eyes. I knew that look all too well.

"Well, I guess you have earned the right to try out that sword. Ok Lyra, this once, I will wait until you are done. But you better work harder from now on, ok?"

I can deal with Mr. Creepy for a bit if it makes my sister happy.
