"Most likely where the scum is hiding out. They're not just traitors, they're cowards too." Marcus spat on the floor. He motioned the Marine towards the door. "See if you can hear something through that thing." He then quietly went to the barricaded door to find out how it could possibly be opened.
The door wasn't barricaded very well, and the non-reinforced lock seemed to be on its last legs from whatever was tearing at it from the other side. A little muscle to move the lockers and scrap that was in the way would clear the door, and a few lasbolts would finish off the lock.
Meanwhile, Sebastian crept toward the door until he could hear the voices on the other side.
"-mad, I tell you! All of them! We should get out of here while we still can!"
"And go where? There are only two places we can go to: into the Tyranid's jaws, or the Guard's firing lines. We have to help the men win this and complete the mission!"
"You're insane! Have you any idea what happens to those who devote themselves to Chaos?"
"A better idea than anyone who's read the Imperium's relentless propoganda! It's dangerous, of course, but I haven't been on a world yet that wasn't teetering on the brink of devastation! What's the difference whether we devote our lives to a corpse on a pedestal or a group of actual GODS?"
"Listen to what you're saying! Those "actual gods" would as soon tear you to shreds as look at you! The firing line would be a mercy!"
"It's got to be a better fate than being eaten by the bugs. Our only choices are death or servitude, and I'm not dying just yet."
