The little girl is crying, clingling to Rath's leg tightly. "I'm not a demon! It was my friend that did it! He's nice, not like you people!"

Nata, Still blushing, looks at his feet. "I. . . . . I said that. . . .that you're cute." His face is now beat red

Grey stops walking and stares at Nata with the silvery eyes that are her namesake. She looks rather surprised, and considering who it is, that's saying quite a bit. Her mouth is slightly open, showing her fangs. Words catch in her throat.

"I... you... uh..."

[Shadowmaster]

"Your friend?" Rath asked the girl. "Who might your friend be?"

[Knight Errant]

"It seems the lizard trash decided to use the girl..."

Looking to the mob. "It is obvious this girl is no demon... she was just used by our target. Who does she belong to?"

[muffinstud]

The little girl shakes her head. "My friend isn't that monster! He's nice, he only hurt that boy to protect me!"

A voice comes from the entrance to an alleyway not far off. "Not only that, but it was fun as well."

[Shadowmaster]

Rath looks over to the alleyway. "Who's there?" he asks, drawing his blades.

A hooded figure steps out from the shadows of the alley. The little girl runs from Rath's leg and holds on to the stranger for dear life.
"Don't worry, child. I'll protect you.
"But what about you?"
"Remember your wish? That's all I need."

The figure removes his hood, revealing his reptilian face. "Your quarrels are with me, not the youngling."

[Knight Errant]

Grunwalde looks him over for a bit, then wordlessly pulls out a small crossbow and looses a quarrel at the anthro.

The girl clings tighter to Lathan. It is hurting his movements, but her breasts feel like marshmellows against him. "YAHHH!" She screams in a scared tone.

The mob turns to Kale. They have their make shift weapons ready. The mob leader say "You will pay for what you did to our Mayor, the Great Trewd! Let's get them!" The mob yells a battle cry and they charge at Kale.

Nata walks closer to Grey. Blushing very hard, he mutters "I . . . . . . just wanted. . . . .to let you know. . . . . . how I feel about you" He runs off ahead of Grey to Macion.

The bolt glides effortlessly through the cloth of the cloak, however, Kale isn't wearing it anymore. He is crouched low, head level with the little girl's. He pulls out a knife and sticks it to the girl's throat. "I would highly advise not doing that again. In fact, if anyone comes close, the girl dies." He puts the dagger up into her neck, causing her to stretch up.

[Knight Errant]

Grunwalde calmly places another bolt in his crossbow, he points it at Kale's head.

His voice emotionless. "And why should I care about a girl you used as a pawn? I think you chose the wrong shield... murderer."

[muffinstud]

The girl is on her tippy toes now, tears streaming down her cheeks. "I-I-I d-don't wanna d-die..."

[Shadowmaster]

Rath stares at Kale. "Let the girl go and fight us fairly." he says. He then turns toward Grunwalde. "Do you have any ideas?" he whispers.

[Knight Errant]

His eyes dont flicker from Kale. His mouth not visible because of his mask, he speaks so quietly Rath can barely hear him.

"I have... one idea..."

He pulls out a needle and hurls it... at the girl Kale is holding.

[Haylie]

Grey just stares after him, like she's been punched in the face, blinking like a newborn. The beginnings of a smile plays on her lips. Then, she turns around and rushes off after her companions. She didn't care how far away it was, she'd make it.
