Daniel spun his staff once in his hand before holding it out, "Right here, it doesn't sweep as well as a broom, however it flys just as well." He held it at upward diagonal and stepped over so a foot was on either side of it, "Just sit down and hold on."

[Mistress Guendolen]

Elise gave the staff another dubious look, but she really couldn't afford to be picky.... She needed to get up there too badly. So she shrugged and climbed onto the staff, taking a firm grip on it with both hands and crossing her ankles together, tucking them underneath. "Okay. I'm ready...." Not a good time to wear a skirt.... This is going to be drafty.... But if it gets me to Genno in time, I- I'd fly on this thing in a bikini, if I had to!

[Xiao]

Daniel gave a small push with his feet and once again the staff was air borne, only now rising up, flying towards the blimp, instead of slowing a decent as it did last time.

The paramedic doesn't get on. "I won't be much in a fight, so I better get checked out by a doctor, to make sure I'm fine. Here's my number." He hands Elise a card. "If you need any help, just call. If you need any medical help, you know my work number."

[Mistress Guendolen]

"Okay, I will. Thank you!" She had just barely tucked the card into her handbag when her strange new companion kicked off. Next thing she knew, they were shooting into the sky.... "Whoa!" She clutched the stick tighter, now holding on with her crossed ankles as well. "This thing is fast...."

[Xiao]

"Not as fast as I'm used to," Xiao said over the wind, "If carrying a single person it can go faster, though the wind gets annoying at times." They were now about thrity feet higher than the building Xiao had been watching from and were heading towards the blimp.

[Mistress Guendolen]

The wind in question was determinedly blowing Elise's hair in her face. She spat some out of her mouth for the third time, long enough to say, "Yes, I can imagine...." All the while watching the blimp grow steadily closer, and suddenly wondering just how she was going to get on board the thing once they got there.... Those things usually had some sort of hatch on top, right?

[Xiao]

"You seem alot less surpirzed about this than one would imagine, have much previous experience with wizards?" Xiao asked as they continued to the blimp. (20% at time of asking)

[Mistress Guendolen]

"None. Maybe I've just moved through weirded-out and out the other side.... Or thinking about what I'm going to do once I get to the blimp. Though I must admit I've- uh- seen a few weird things, in my life...." She spat a few more strands of hair out of her mouth. Wizard? Is that who my parents worked with, those few times? Makes sense.

[Xiao]

"I see, if you don't mind my asking, who exactly is on this blimp that you are in such a hurry to meet?" Xiao replied. (25%)

[Mistress Guendolen]

"My- well, my-" She actually blushed a bit, though by this time her face had reddened enough from the wind and chill that it probably didn't register much difference. "My boyfriend. He's in trouble. I promised him I'd always stick up for him, so I need to get there...."

[Xiao]

Though it couldn't be seen, Xiao smiled at this, "He's lucky to have someone as devoted as you." he looked over his shoulder and saw her current condition, "Oh, I forgot that you wouldn't be as tolerant to this as me, just a moment." Xiao closed his eyes and focused on the wind infront of them, causing a majority of it to part as they passed allowing for a much smoother ride.

[Mistress Guendolen]

Elise blinked at this development. "That's weird... and useful." She reveled in the feeling of- well- not feeling the wind so powerfully. "And well, I wouldn't be so devoted to him if he didn't deserve it.... He's truly one of a kind." I just hope I get there in time....

[Xiao]

"Everyone's one of a kind, no matter how far magic or science go, no one will be able to replace who you are," Xiao said as they reached the half-way point, "I am sure he is special to draw so much concern though."

[Mistress Guendolen]

"Of course he is! But we- we only just got together, so I need to make sure I tell him that- I don't know if he realizes just how special he is-" Especially to me....
