Make a TF Foundation: To Be Maid Humble

Abigail does slow down, but not much. "Sorry! But I can't believe I forgot the courtyard!" Soon they are outside, in the courtyard!

"Well that doesn't give you a reason to rush off. Not like we are in a rush or something," said Amaya as she was able to catch up a little bit. She was almost tripping but did made it back to Abagail's side without faceplanting. She then looked up once they arrive in the courtyard and catch her breath.

The courtyard is a fairly grand affair, more than the glorified backyard one might expect. Much, though not all, of the yard is covered in soft grass; there are patches of flowers here and there, placed in an almost natural-seeming sort of way. It helps the effect that whoever did the landscaping didn't use any flower-beds, difficult as that makes it to sustain and protect the flowers. There is a vineyard off in one far corner of the yard, and a greenhouse in the opposite one; lining the back end of the yard is an orchard of various fruit trees. One one side of the plain-looking wooden fence, which is a long way from the door in each direction, there is one gap with a path going through it, an open gate to an open outdoor space where Makurow practices magic (not that its destination is terribly clear to Amaya at the moment).
With a slightly closer look, an apparently elfin maid can be seen in the orchard with a couple of baskets, somehow managing to pick up and pluck the various ripe fruits rather quickly and nimbly despite her dress. Maybe it's magic, or maybe one just gets good at this sort of thing after awhile.

Amaya was amazed with the courtyard. She had her mouth open as she took in the scenery and looked around. It looked like it was a wilderness but tamed. Everything looked so grand and wonderful. She was always prideful of the one she had in her mansion but this one just blew her own out of the water. Amaya looked around and couldn't believe this was possible.

"Is she the one that takes care of landscaping for this courtyard?" asked Amaya to Abigial as she notice the elfin maid. "If so then remind me to seek her out to tend mines when I leave this place."

Abigail blinks. "...to tell you the truth, maid-in-training, I'm not fully sure. I just recently passed my training, so I do not know the jobs of every person quite yet."

"Really...." said Amaya as she stares at Abigail with what looks like a mix of disappointment, surprise and disbelief. She just blinked a few times dully and said, "Just how long have you been a full fledged maid and how long have you been here?"

Abigail think for a bit. "...I'd rather not tell you. However, feel free to ask Master. If he feels it appropiate to tell you, then I won't argue."

"Sigh...Why must I ask the master for such information? I mean you been giving me that response this whole time," said Amaya who was getting a bit fed up with this observation with 'the master'. "It just a little piece of information."

Abigail frowns. "It's a very private piece of information! I mean, how would you react if I asked you how long it took you to start being a jerk? Or what your first kiss that wasn't for love or pleasure, but for manipulation, and what for? It's part of who I am, and it's a personal piece of information, so I am not telling you!"

"Alright alright. Fair," said Amaya as she looked away to look at the garden instead. She wanted to give Abigail a good telling off for calling her a jerk but she knew it wasn't worth it. This girl was clearly delusional in Amaya's opinion and just like how Amaya was set on her ways, this girl was too. If anything it best since she wasn't sure how long she was going have to be with this Abigail person. If anything this master may just make Amaya share a room with Abigail to spite her.

"Right..." said Amaya as she guess that was the reason why she called him master. Though Amaya didn't even want to consider calling him master since it felt like a demeaning position for her. "Names are better in my opinion but whatever floats your boat."
