((Let there be... action!))

The skies go completely dark, the sun blotted out. They hear the king calling for the city guard, and the gradual increase of panic among the spectators. Then they begin hearing whispering... indistinct, but all around them. A fell wind blows in, carrying shimmering balls of light. They begin seeking out living things...

Several red lights go into panicking spectators, they are bathed in the red, while everyone around them begins running. Their form twists and changes, growing muscular, hands turning into claws as horns appear on their foreheads. The new demons begin charging the spectators...

A purple light flies into a boar, which squeals and snorts as it begins changing. Its front hoofs turning to hands as its back ones turn to legs, the shape growing more human by the moment, and more feminine. The torso thinning to a waist as the chest balloons outwards, fur being replaced by smooth purple skin except where decency is required. The tusks remain, but a small pair of horns appears on her forehead, as her head fur changes to long flowing purple locks. When it is done, she smiles, running her hands over her body, before summoning a staff to her hand with a crack. Turning to the heroes. "Those of you with it in you to submit, do so now. And instead of pain, I will grant you pleasure..." Her words ring sweetly... those who hear them feeling compelled to obey them.

Up in the king's box, several lights attempt to invade, but a glowing wall of energy has appeared to deny them.
O Muse!
Sing in me, and through me tell the story
Of that man skilled in all the ways of contending,
A wanderer, harried for years on end...

Soon, Ginny had lost sight of her daughter and servant as the crowd errupted in panic. She watched in horror as the led balls of light were absorbed into people standing in the crowd, and they began to transform before her very eyes. The drop down to the arena floor that was meant to keep the spectators now safe, was now preventing the heroes from reaching them, and Ginny watched helplessly as the demons began to attack people that moments before had been their friends.

At the squeal of the boar, she turned to face it, a rather annoyed look on her fair face, one hand grasping the handle of the sword at her side as she watched the creature transform into a beautiful yet twisted woman. She winced as it spoke, feeling it's wickedness trying to draw them all under it's spell. She called upon her powers to try and help herself fight the urge, hoping she was too rusty after years out of combat to raise her daughter.... her teeth clenching as she tried to stiffen her legs and stand still.

Trey couldn't help but stare at the purple woman. For almost a moment her demand seemed perfectly reasonable. By some unseen will though, his brain snapped out of it. He shook his head and blinked several times. As he looked up to the stands, his face turned into a grimace. "Gregor..." he whispered and looked back to the woman, hoping the heroes had her under control. At the moment he needed to find Gregor and hopefully help save some of the fleeing spectators. He looked to where Gregor was in the arena booth.

Gregor, in the chaos, had lost where he was. He looked around to gain his bearings and to make sure Ambrosious was all right.

Almost sensing her weakness, the boar demoness looks at Ginny. "Dont you want to join me? I can give you riches, power... whatever you desire in this world. All you have to do... is submit."

She begins walking towards her. Ginny feels week in the knees, her body wanting to kneel before the demoness. Her words ringing through Ginny's head, enchanting her with their spell.

Gregor had found himself halfway to the exit... swept along in the tide of people. Just as it seemed he would be fine after all, a ball of red light appears in front of him, zooming towards him!

If Trey wanted to help the city guard in the stands, they looked like they could use it. One of them had been torn apart already, as a group of them battled one of the demonic citizens. Claws rained on their shields like hammer blows, and they did their best to keep it at bay with their spears.

Trey couldn't find Gregor in the swarms of people...he could only hope he made it out all right. But the guards needed help more at the moment. He made his way up to the stands as fast as possible to help fight off the demonic invaders. He unsheated his sword (as he had resheathed it to hurry to the stands) and pulled his shield from his back and began to approach the twisted beings.

Gregor's face paled, whatever foul magic was chasing him could be nothing but evil. He tried to push through the crowd the opposite of where they were going, trying to get back to the horse stable's where Ambrosious was...but the light seemed to be getting closer faster than he could avoid it.

Her knees started to tremble beneath the weight of her heavy armour as her blue eyes gazed at the demoness. She felt a sweat break out across her pale skin, and grunted as she stumbled, sinking to her knees in the sand, a gauntlet landing infront of her, and her head hanging as if being dragged down by a great weight. However, the hand slipped away from her sword, and rose towards her chest, fingers spreading across the emblem of the sun right in the center of the breastplate as she knelt, murmuring under her breath as the creature came closer.....

Peter broke into a run that would have made a cat look clumsy and set himself firmly between Ginny and the purple abomination, crossbow set to his shoulder and loaded, pointed directly at the demoness's right eye.

"BACK! Get out of here! You leave these people alone NOW!"

One had to hand it to him... he was a brave little bugger. Despite the fear that was so obvious in his eyes, he stood his ground, a physical shield between Ginny and the beast.

Taking its sweat time the sphere collides with gaggle of goblins, exploding on impact. Francis however seemed too focused on the appearance of the demoness and the chaos around him to contemplate the speed of his spells. The young priest could only stand and bless himself.

Onín--who given the pause it is fair to assume managed to kill the one boar probably?--straightens at the words from the new challenger! He certainly seems to hear them...and for a moment he seems to be letting down his sword down.
Only for a moment, though--apparently he is not called Sparkslayer without reason! Perhaps there is more to him then there appears at first glance? Or perhaps he's just too singleminded to give her words much thought, for indeed, without replying he seems to be raising his crossbow!

James saw the demons and the red spheres and only had one thought on his mind. Escape. He ran at the arena wall and jumped, only just managing to grab the edge! He began trying to pull himself up.

Trey would soon find a demonic opponent. It is in the midst of savaging a woman, but turns as he approaches. Growling, it leaps at him, claws outstretched!

Just as the ball of light is about to pounce upon Gregor, a hooded man steps in front of it. He raises his hand towards it. "By the spirits of my ancestors I reject you, Dark One!" Shimmering white light coalesces in his palm, overwhelming the red spirit until it dissolves in a shriek. If the boy knew anything about magic, he might realize he had just witnessed an act of heresy. The man had just used Nature spirit magic... to save him. He turns his shadowed face towards Gregor. "Do you have a guardian, boy?" Without waiting for an answer. "Nevermind. The air is thick with chaos. Come with me... I will watch you until we reach the exit." He turns his back, cloak swirling around him, and walks onwards.

The demoness smiles at Peter. "What an act of bravery... but it was ill-thought out. Wouldnt you rather be on the winning side? We can give you all you desire and more... all you have to do is join us." Her voice echoes through his head, leaving tingles through his body. Unbidden, his hand begins easing off the trigger, his crossbow lowering. Her words sound so... right. She could give him everything, asking only obedience in return...

Ginny being out of the demoness's focus, finds her weakness leaving her. Though even being this close to her mystical voice sends shivers through her, urging her to obey.

Several of the goblins become possessed by a red spirit... turning into six foot tall monsters. One of them seems to be attracted by the holy spells of Francis, charging towards him. Another sees Onin aiming at the purple demon, letting out a roar before attacking him.

Meanwhile, James succeeds in scaling the wall! He is now in the stands with many panicking paople... and demons. One of them catches sight of him and starts moving for him.

Ginny started to reach towards the demoness when Peter stepped between them, taking her by suprise, "Idiot...", she muttered, rising from her knees behind him with the boar lady distracted. She looked to be in discomfort, even pain as she drew her sword from her side, and then tried to barge Peter aside with her shoulder, emerging from behind him, using all her mental strength to fight the urges to submit, and instead attempted to impale the demoness through the stomach with her sword.

Peter tries very hard to focus. He lowers his crossbow.

He tries again. Again, he fails.

He tries three more times, each time more pitiful than the last. Still, he tried, didn't he? There was no point in trying to resist anymore if he couldn't do it. He had proven himself brave. Maybe it was time to set the bow down, and just give up...

But he tries one last time. The bolt in set in the crossbow begain glowing as he fired it at the demoness's heart (or at least where it would be on a human). The beast should immediately recognize it as Nature magic surrounding that bolt.

((You got pushed aside, Peter XD))

Ginny charges! Giving the demoness a slightly surprised expression, before bringing her metal staff (which looks golden, twisted with what might be snakes, and topped with a large amythyst) around to beat the sword thrust aside. Her face looks almost sad. "So it seems you have chosen the way of pain..." She brings a hand around, sending a blast of purple light at Ginny!

James's shot flies straight and true... landing in the center of the demon's chest. It looks really ticked off now. Bellowing, it barrels down on him, swiping long claws!
