"Have a nice day, Haley." the girl behind the desk spat out to Damian like a machine as she continued to exchange gear. By now the girl's had packed themselves in eager to get their belongings so they could start partying once again like they had every night for the last week. Within the infiltrator's bag, the boy found out that the girl he was impersonating was...gutsy. There was a small stuffed animal that hinted at innocence but that was all that did that. The rest of her clothes were, on the face of it, slinky. The garment at the bottom, though, was the loudest piece of embarrassment: a silk negligie in place of most other girl's pajamas. The see-through lingerie was a light pink with lacy ends at the sleeves and bottom. In that same pile was a frilly bra and lacy thong.

***

The girl behind the desk nodded and, as Alex stuttered an answer, had begun to gather up Julie's personal effects. "Please place your equipment on the table in exchange for your gear." she said methodically as she looked down her clipboard for an Alice Tate. "Alice, Alice, Alice...Tate...no..." her voice spoke over the wooden thing, "No there's no Alice Tate..." she said as she looked up at Julie, "You said she was recovered from the boy's base but there's not one on our roster." she said as she looked to Alex. Her face instantly scrunched in confusion. As feminine as the boy was, nothing could hide that Adam's apple nor the more masculine features of his body. You could almost hear what the girl was thinking 'maybe she's a tomboy, maybe she's underdeveloped'...then her eyes drifted down Alex's body and her surprised face told both girls that she knew. Her mouth dropped open and her makeup'd eyes went wide as she pointed to the boy. 'No way' her mouth silently spoke, lost for words as she looked across the room to the security alert button. If she got to that button, Alex would be practically drowned in girls aching for his capture.

***

Vern nodded, "Can do, Sir. She looks like a beaut despite the bang-ups." he said clanging a wrench against the hull. "ALL RIGHT BOYS! GET HER UP OFF THE GROUND!" he shouted as the other mechanics began to rig heavy cable connected to high-powered cranes designed to take something this heavy up above the ground. The silent boy had hopped up off the tank and had waited for Isaac. Standing next to the boy made the small genius feel tall. Almost a whole head shorter, the boy looked up from his young, pre-teen face. His shaggy brown hair tried to hide the emerald eyes that peered from his freckled face. He said nothing, just stood there next to Isaac.

***

The doctor welcomed Jaina in, "Ah...welcome Jaaaiina." she spoke, obviously correcting her pronunciation from Jackson to Jaina mid-breath. "You ready for this op?" This doctor was about 18 and fully grown, she was practically a woman.

***

The boys around Sean gasped almost in unison, "What?!" shouted one while another very nearly had a nervous breakdown on his feet, "We're just to head over and give up to the girls? You know what they do to us don't you?" one asked, "I hear they do just as many experiment and when they're done with you they use your body for parts." Sean had heard these rumors before and knew they were false...well...at least he was pretty sure they were false. The girl's in the city were the closest but there was a headquarters of them further South and West...it would take a few days walking.

Jaina figured that more doctors knew about her condition. She expected them to do that since she pretty much looked like a girl except for the one little detail. She had the long blond hair, the hourglass figure as well as sleek arms and legs thanks to the hormone treatments she had been taking over the past year. She was as ready as she had ever been. She just hoped her sisters would accept her as their real sister when all was said and done. She really didn't want to be shunned by her sisters after this operation, she had to risk it though. It was probably the only way she would able to see her sisters again. She hoped that they were alright. She didn't know what she would do if they were captured or worse. Her sisters were the only reasons that she got to keep her male equipment intact as it was already changing when she was brought to the commanding officer of her sisters thanks to the hormones she had been taking. It was now or never.

Jaina kept her head down as to not insult the doctor that was doing this favor for her. Since she had never met this doctor before she kept her eyes down as she curtsied. She gave the doctor the thumbs up and waited to be directed to where she would undergo her final operation. She then decided that it would be best to tell the doctor to her face that she was ready as she raised her arms and face to make eye contact with the doctor and saluted.

"Yes Ma'am I am very ready for this. I have been ready since my last physical." Jaina said. "Thank you for remembering to call me Jaina. I wouldn't even know who you were talking to if you called me Jackson." It was true Jaina wouldn't have responded if the doctor wouldn't have corrected her pronunciation from Jackson to Jaina as that name had no meaning to her anymore.

Sean sighs and shakes his head. Why was everyone in the boy's army so suspicious? At the very least, joining the girls would let him see if it was the same over there.

"Look, I don't like the fact that I'm becoming a girl either. But if we join the girls we'll be protected. Anything they might do to us can't be worse than what they would do to us at the Hole House."

Thinking back to the maps, he remembers the other nearby HQs

"We can head back to the city, or we can walk to one of two nearby headquarters south and west from here. What do you all think?"

Alex's already worried expression grew increasingly more terrified as the girl behind the desk searched for the name on the list. Sliding one foot back, he ended up beside Julie again, moving his hand just slightly to slip around hers. Brown curls swished around, tumbling across shoulder as he turned his head to meet the Girl Scout's gaze, his face a mixture of accusation and a plea for help. His breaths were getting shorter and uneven, and he was swaying slightly from side to side as he looked back to the girl on the desk, squeezing Julie's hand when he saw the realisation upon this other girl's face.

"No!", he cried out, no longer trying to mask his voice, but it was far from the most masculine of tones anyway. His chest tightened as he followed her gaze across to the alert button on the wall. Releasing Julie's hand, he raced forward, everything seeming to slow down in his head as he ran to block the girl's path to the alarm. His hair flowed freely behind him, and then flicked out as he twisted to a stop facing her, hands reaching out to try and grasp onto her arms and halt her, "Please don't press that... she kidnapped me! It was her idea to pretend... ".

His wide eyes pleaded with the girl. It was ironic that after all this time longing for female company... he was now trying desperately to avoid being surrounded by hundreds. Still out of breath, he looked across to Julie, "Tell her... tell her you've got this under control! If she presses that button... I'm dead". He felt guilty that he'd had to even put his hands on the girl, and glanced back to apologetically.

Isaac takes one last look at his invention... then to Vern. "Treat her well... I left instructions on the dashboard compartment." Isaac's 'instructions' were infamous, but usually after a month or two most of them could be translated to become helpful. Sometimes even as early as a week!

He looks over to the small kid by his side, raising an eyebrow a bit. "So whats your story, kid? You did me well enough back there. Are you with the rest of these jarheads?" He asks, gesturing around the base to the army boys.

What he really wanted was to just pack up and go home, but the small boy HAD helped him out, so the least he could do was be civil.

Things went way downhill when she mistook her introduction as an invitation to scan the roster for Alice's name. Of course, Julie thought she could handle that, but it didn't take the clerk long to realize what was going on.

And then Alex dropped all pretense. There was no salvaging that cover anymore, thanks to his admission. If there was one credo Julie lived by, it was to lie until you die, and play everything to the hilt. Alex was too green to know better, she supposed. He probably lived a nice, sheltered, cushy life, without a care in the world about getting by, day to day.

Julie had to adapt to a rapidly escalating situation, and she knew it. Alex had foisted the blame on her, and she'd probably be thrown out... all because she wanted to have some fun and toy with him. There really was only one way to get past this situation unscathed...

Julie reached into her bag and quickly removed the chloroform/Femme X rag, and slipped it under Alex's mouth. She whispered into his ear as she held it against his face, "Hold your breath but pretend to pass out." She held it there for just long enough to let him feign unconsciousness, and hoped he could at least pull that off, before granting him reprieve and taking the rag away.

"Don't worry, I have it all under control," she says to the clerk, as she lowers Alice's "unconscious" body to the ground. "She's been through a lot at the hands of the boys, and sometimes, she gets a little delusional." Julie was lying through her teeth, as more of Alice's back story came together at the tip of her tongue. "She's someone's kid sister that had been stuck with the boys since the beginning, and they put her through a bunch of experiments. They tried to turn her into a boy... and sometimes she even thinks she is one. Poor girl... I'm taking care of her, and I'll make sure she understands what they did to her, and who she is."

Julie pulled every fiber of her charismatic influence together to pass off the story as true. She was calm and rational, and showed no signs of trying to fabricate a story on the spot. She threw everything she had into passing it off as no big deal.

"Then come back to the O.R. we'll get you sedated and after a quick operation and a few weeks of recovery you'll be a real girl, ready to serve the Hierarch." the doctor said, ushering the way. It was now or never.

***

Several of the boys were already walking back to the nearest civilization, no longer talking to the raving lunatic they saw Sean to be. Led by older, higher-ranking boys it looked like they were about to chisel their own survival out of the remnant city they'd just left. "You don't know that." Barry said, though he wasn't terribly convinced of his own opinion either. By the time each boy had made his decision it had come down to Sean, Barry and two other boys Chris and Tom, the four remaining unconcious boys still on the ground. "I don't think the girls in the city would take too kindly to barely-infected boys showing up at their doorstop...at least if we take the long way down to the headquarters we'll have changed a bit...we could prove we're willing subjects." Tom said defeated.

***

The girl staring at the act in front of her pulled away instantly from Alex's flailing hands and inching toward the button. It was still a good ten feet away though, so there was nothing definitive about her actions yet. The chloroform had expended itself having been out in the air for so long so Alex would only feel slightly dizzy as the rag was pushed against his mouth. "A...girl...that they tried turning into a boy?" she asked, unconvinced, "That's the most ridiculous story I've ever heard. There've been no reports that the boys have made any sort of progress on their top secret experiments." despite Julie's convincing silver tongue, it was just too much to take in for the obviously naive girl. She hadn't the exposure Julie experienced nearly every mission to what the boys were willing to do. Torture and such were beyond her scope.

As she stared at Alex she looked back up to Julie, "That's a boy...but it does look like you have everything under control..." she admitted as she grabbed a black garbage bag. "Here...this is a starter kit for newcoming girls. Should fit him. Now go on before I change my mind about not reporting you."

***

Vern nodded, "That I'll do Isaac. I mean sir! I mean..." he stuttered, unsure of what to call the boy, "Thank you very much sir. I'll make sure to take care of her. C-can't wait to see your next invention. I'll take care of her." he rambled as the cranes slowly began to raise the tank up into the air.
The small boy remained silent, pulling from his pocket a rudimentary piece of metal that clicked as you bent it back and forth. No was his quick morse code reply No home. No friend.

Nothing in Alex's daily routine involved needing quick reactions, so now that he finally needed them, they'd abandoned him. The scent from the rag tickled his nose and throat, making him feel quite dizzy as he leaned back against Julie's chest, and it was a good thing he didn't know she used that same cloth for administering Femme X, or he'd really be freaking out! The other girl could have likely pulled away from his grasp anyway, but his hands fell away from her arms, brown eyes watching her over the rag as she argued with Julie. He was holding his breath now, but already he'd inhaled just enough to disorientate and weaken him. Brown curls of hair tumbled about over his shoulders as he bent his knees, dropping onto them and his hands, but... before he dropped down completely, something unexpected happened.

He watched with a sort of sleepy suprise as the girl saw through the spur of the moment lies, but... instead of going for the alarm, reached for the black bag. His cheeks flushed bright red... but relief flooded through him. Figuring there was no reason to pretend now, he didn't 'pass out', but felt so drowsy he just remained down on his hands and knees for a moment or two, looking up at the girls. Eventually reaching a hand up, he grasped at Julie's skirt, the other hand pushing against the floor to help him back up to his feet, but he staggered back a few steps upon reaching them while the Desk girl spoke to Julie about him as if he was some pet or child, talking about him, but very clearly not to him.

"As you wish ma'am." Jaina said as she saluted and followed the doctor. She had always wanted to be a real girl. It was even more so enforced by her feminine body and long blond hair. She felt odd being around her sisters when she was a guy before the hormone treatments. Even though she somehow felt comfortable being raised strictly by her sisters. She couldn't help but wonder what her sisters would think when she was finally a real girl. This was what she wanted, but she also wasn't so sure if her sisters would still accept her as their sister once everything was complete. "Who is going to fill in for me at the Martial Arts Competitions." Jaina asked the doctor as she continued to follow her back to the O. R.

Isaac rolls his eyes a bit as Vern stutters. "Good..." He said simply, before looking back to the small boy, tapping his chin and thinking. Finally, "Well, kid... do you have a name? As you heard, I'm Isaac." He crosses his arms. "I don't normally do this, but I'd hate to leave you alone with these monkeys in uniform. They would likely shanghai you within a hour, and stick you on a front line somewhere." He humphs a bit. "So, I'll give you a offer. Come with me. I can think of some uses for you aside from cannon fodder."

Sean watches the other boys leave and silently wishes them good luck with whatever they did. Looking at his small group, he nods.

"We make for one of their HQs then. If we get cold feet, we can strike it out on our own, but I doubt the Boys will let us go that easily, not after we crashed a truck."

Looking at the unconscious boys on the ground, he gives them a quick salute.

"All right, let's get moving."

Using the sun as a guide, he starts walking west.

Julie fumes at the clerk. "You don't even know what you're doing to the poor girl... She's been through so much, and here you are, calling her a boy! How would you like it??" Julie helps Alice to her feet. "Come on Alice.... Things will be better, I promise." She lays her equipment down in front of the clerk and takes her personal affects, and the bag for Alice, and turns on her heels, leaving for her quarters.

On the way there, she hands Alice the black bag. A little plush tiger's face peeked out from the bag, sitting on top of a pile of fabric, and some hard, bulky things sitting underneath. She opened the door to her room, and led Alice inside her previously-described room.

"You may as well make yourself comfortable, kid," Julie said, though her tone was softer than her words would imply. "Just don't touch any of my stuff, okay?" She looked over Alice with concern, noting that, yes, he couldn't stand up to inspection. She'd have to really work on that if she wanted to pass Alice off as a girl.

Alex winced a little at Julie's rant towards the desk girl. He'd have quietly been grateful for her help and moved along, but Julie was different in many ways. Taking the black bag, he wrapped both arms around it, drawing it against his chest like a hug, and blushed at the plush toy poking out. Still groggy from the chloroform, he was rather uncoordinated, his steps uneven, his balance off, as well as his eyelids feeling quite heavy. As they stepped into her room, he let out a large sigh of relief, setting the bag on the floor before leaning into the wall for support, and looked around, the fondness of a tidy room apparently at least one thing they had in common.

"Ugh... What was on that cloth?", he mumbled, rubbing both balled up hands into his eyes as he tried to straighten back up, and unsteadily crossed over to the mirror. He seemed to inspect himself with a frown, brushing his hair with his fingers before rubbing his throat, and then turned to kook at the Girl Scout with a confused expression. "Why are you... sticking up for me? You could have just turned me over... ". His expression saddened a little as he looked down over himself, "... You know we're not going to fool anyone... right?".

Damian sighed as he noticed the bear, typical girls, but when he found the negligie and the bra and thong he froze for a bit. His brain had now suffered a crash like the blue screen of death. His body's responce? Blush like mad. Damian quickly closed the bag and breathed as his heart pounded. "W-W-W-W... for real?!" thought Damian in his head as images of adult woman models with him posing as a model poped into his teenage mind. Damian had no info on any of Haley's personal life, only military and no where there did it say that Haley was... that kind of girl. Damian's thighs closed tightly as the boy tried to regain his composure. "No way in hell in hell I'm wearing that" he thought before remembering he was in a mission! It's not like he plans on living here.

"Right! Gotta do that first" he murmered, before going to the next floor to check for the communications room. His skirt fluttering as he rushed up the stairs, in a hurry and his long hair waving behind him. "The sooner I get this over with, the sooner I can go home" he remembered to himself.
"Let me confirm, your shelter shield is activated?"
"What are you planning?!"
"Your shelter is secure, is it?"
"Of course it is! Just see for yourself how powerless you are!"
"...Roger that."

As Julie and Alex talked, inside the bag were a number of things for the starting girl. The stuffed animal for one, but underneath there was a pink nightie. Ruffled frills decorated the sleeves and neckline of the pajamas. It looked like it was designed for an 8 year old and sized for a teenager! Several more girls were shuffling outside, getting to their various dorm rooms as quiet as possible so they didn't disturb much.

***

In the O.R., the doctor handed Jaina a pale pink hospital gown that didn't close at the back, "Change into this please. And I'm not sure about the Martial Arts, you'll have to ask your commanding officer."

***

The kid nodded enthusiastically at Isaac's offer to come with him, clicking in morse code Name's Wendel. Once decided, the boy inched a little closer, eyeing each boy from a distant and their equipment scattered around the garage. Where do you live? the boy began to ask as a tired-looking boy, Calon himself, walked out. "Well Isaac...once again you deliver exactly as planned...and this time you saved hundreds of boys. Your payment, as always, is on your tab here. Just go anywhere and mention your name, it should cover whatever you're looking for for some time. Thank you. Anything we can help you with right away?"

***

Barry, Chris, and Tom nodded, accepting the order and quickly fell into a brisk jog. At first, the going was swift but soon after, each boy had slowed to the same walk Sean had started with, the medic catching up to the boys soon enough. He could tell that their hair had grown slightly and the bulging veins down their arms had receded...many boys at the start of the war believed that to be their bodies fighting off the foul chemical agent. Alas, it was not. It was only a further symptom as their body hair would begin to recede and dissolve.

***

The third floor was filled with more offices. Rooms of office supplies and desks that had been vacated for dormitories. Already, those girls who had gotten off duty first had set up their rooms, turned up the music, and started to party. It seemed so harmless as Damian watched. Just girls having fun...but he would never forget the fear and terror that same music had brought up for the last week. Never knowing when a spec ops squad would take boys from their bed was a nerve-wracking experience. There wasn't much up until she reached the fourth floor. Central Intelligence now for the girl's new base of operations. The communications room was an obvious one filled with tons of recording and broadcasting equipment. Already the girls had begun to install televisions and intercoms so that orders could be given with quick precision.
