Peering up into the Hierarch's face sent a chill through Chalotte's body as Giselle's report played over and over in her head. Suddenly, her expression changed to anger, and she tugged the denim dress with it's frilly petticoats up over her head, tossing it onto the floor before marching into the giant closet. "I'll bring her back, Miss", came her voice, her breathing a little heavier.

Moments later, she was stepping out of the closet in a new outfit. It was like an all in one black bodysuit, yet the legs were more like small shorts, going just an inch down her thighs, and the sleeves were short too, while it had a blouse-like collar at the neck which was unbuttoned. On her feet were a pair of polished black mary janes, White ankle socks beneath them. She was tugging her long blonde hair as she crossed the room, blushing at Mary Anne, "Could you braid my hair? It will be easier...".

((Sorry for lack of responses... your absence threw me into a pit of despair and darkness XD))

Julian takes this opportunity to speak up. "The latest technology the girls have developed. If we had let them keep it... that alone would have doomed us. But now that we have it... there is the possibility we can reverse engineer it and use it against them. Sir."

Surge makes his way to the crowd casually. He raised his head up. "What's all the hub up about men?" he asked putting his arms behind his back. "Don't you have positions to be taking?" he said to the crowd again casually. He glanced at Greg momentaraly, but kept his focus on the group.

((My apologies. I became married this last Monday so I've been *smirks* basking in the glory of such a status.))

As Surge made his way to the office a large booming thunder sounded, paired with a flash of lightning. Nobody was looking, no...everyone was focused on the power struggle going on in the office. A small man-sized capsule crashed into the ground just outside. What sounded like an explosion rocked the building and all the boys jolted, unsure as to what had just happened.

As Mike surveyed the planet from above a loud boom sounded near the base. To earn the bulky weight of the binoculars, this instrument had nearly every setting conceivable: thermal, Electromagnetic, high-optic zoom, the works. Should he look to the noise, he would see a crater just outside the boys base. The next thing was something that chilled his spine. From the center of the crater, a capsule sat and from it, five figures stepped. The first detail to notice was their headgear...eight separate lenses adorned their head and were lit with red lights...giving them the appearance of a spider.

***

Rachel nodded and closed her eyes to perhaps sleep. The base was...where was the base again? The forest looked completely different at night and Alana found herself slightly lost.

***

The figures Chris observed had small submachine guns for the most part while some had what looked to be old time RPGs. They took a position and those with the long, rocket propelled grenades fired into the girl's fortress, hitting one of the walls.

***

Mary Anne, frightened as she was, smiled at the small girl's courage. "All right. Come here." She ushered Charlotte to come over to her. "You don't have to do this...it might be dangerous." she warned as her hands expertly wove Charlotte's hair end over end into a single braid. She took from her pocket a black ribbon and tied it in a bow on the bottom of the braid, "For good luck." she said quickly.

The Hierarch looked to the determined girl, "You know I don't want you to do this..." she warned, "But without knowing what this is, I can't restrict you from defending the base." she said quickly and soon she tapped the wall inside the closet. From the floor an elevator arose, "I'll order the girls around...I want you to sneak around and take out whoever you can...but Charly...don't be a hero." she said as she got in the elevator and was soon gone.

As she left, a loud explosion rocked the building and Mary Anne looked around, "Are you sure you want to do this?" her worried face didn't want the small girl to go.

Charlotte was trying to keep the fear from her expression as Mary Anne braided her hair and finished it with a bow. Turning her head, she looked over at Hierarch, nodding her head at the instructions, "Understood, Miss... ". She raised her hand to the side of her head in a salute as the teenager disappeared into the elevator. Looking back up to Mary Anne, she gave her a smile and then reached around her waist, hugging her firmly. "I'd have liked more time to get used to this body... but I know what I'm doing, Mary Anne. I want to do this, to keep you safe". Dropping her hands, she turned and took a few steps forward, before coming to a stop. "Um... Mary Anne... where's the way out?".

(Congrats N8! I wish you a happy life with your new wife! Hey that rhymed.)

"This is like so totally great! I did not realize we were in there for so long." Alana said as she turned the vehicle around headed toward the opposite way of where the jeep was facing, turns on the lights and starts to head back the way she thought they had come before they headed off to explore.

(Not sure when I will post again in this RP. I am on vacation this week. I probably will not post again until a week from tomorrow. The reason being is because tomorrow is Memorial Day and we are going to down to Springfield to visit my sister. I may post on MSF as well as my other forums on Tuesday.)

((Congrats! All the best Brn ^__^))

After hearing the loud boom, Mike set the binoculars to thermal and zoomed in. And what he saw, shocked him! He stumbles backward, nearly dropping his binoculars. "Hey guys! Over there," Mike shouts with a wide-eyed expression, some panic in his voice as he points towards the crater. "It's those men in the goggles! Th-they're the ones who took our parents and their outside our base!"

Surge exclaimed a curse word as he grabed into anything close to him to prevent the fall. As soon as the building stablized he rushed to the pod, taking a recruits rifle as he made his way to the impact zone. He had a wierd sensation of worry, terror and excitement. Still thanks to many expiriences in battle, his body quickly sprints to action. "Take positions!" he exclaims to all nearby soldiers.

Julian puts a hand to the wall to steady himself as the building shakes slightly. "The hell was that?!" He asks. He had a bad feeling their safe getaway wasnt exactly safe anymore.

All the boys, shocked from the same blast, began to obey Surge's orders; though the confusion was making it much harder than it could have been. The boys bumped left and right trying to get to their makeshift posts. Seeing as the base hadn't been properly finished, there weren't really steady positions to take. Most boys ill-fitted ran to the back storage room to grab their rifles and armor while the rest who were already on patrol began crouching, lying prone, or hugging a wall; aimed outside.

The men from the pod at the bottom of the crater began firing at the walls of the warehouse, the weak, outer shell being pelted by...bullets! Real, live ammunition began pelting through the concrete of the constructed base, but with no boy in sight, there were no immediate fatalaties. Anyone looking would see that they also had an odd second barrel that was lit up red like their goggles.

The pilot of the helicopter took Michael's warning as sound enough advice to turn back around. "We don't have much fire power, but that gatling gun'll work for those infantry pretty well! Get it set up and we'll take a pass to give the boys some breathing room!" he said as they began flying back to the attacked base.

***

The girl's rumbled their way through the forests, not knowing which way they'd come in from really, but soon they found themselves on a dirt road...but which way should they go for? Left to where the trees seemed to thin out or right where the forest seemed to get thicker?

***

The mysterious figures outside the base finally breached the first wall of the girls' headquarters and began marching in. About five were posted outside the hole to guard for any escapees or intruders.

***

Mary Anne smiled, though it did seem like she was worried. "Just outside the door, you'll have the halls to move through, but eventually you may want to find a more hidden way to travel, you might be able to climb to the roof, or crawl around in the vents. Whichever scares you least." she shivered as the thought of either of those did not appeal to her very much. She reached down and kissed the small girl's forehead once more, "Good luck Charly."

Despite the teenage girl towering above her, Charlotte was feeling more concerned for Mary Anne than herself. Her small arms wrapped around the girl's waist, hugging her tightly in return for the kiss to her forehead, "Can you follow the Hierarch? I want you to be safe... ", she said, reluctantly letting go of the hug. As the sound of more explosions reached them, she gently nudged Mary Anne towards the closet, "I'll be fine", she assured the maid, and tried to give her a confident smile, although her own fear still managed to show.

Her braided hair flicked around as she turned and hurried across the room, drawing a deep breath as she stepped out into the hall, where she broke into a run. Her mind was racing, a little voice at the back of it telling her how she was crazy for now fighting as part of the girl's defence after all those years of battling against them. Her cheeks went red as far taller girls in girl scout uniform with guns ran passed her in the halls, although none of them had time to make fun of her right now. Her knees started to shake a little as the realisation hit the base itself was now under attack, but she had her orders, to find the girl that had gone out in the mech, and had suddenly dropped out of communication.

The base still felt so foreign to her, not knowing her way around, other than the way to the medical lab. Whenever she came across a staircase, she took it upwards to the next floor, hoping that a route out would present itself soon. It was after climbing one set of stairs that she found herself standing in the open door way of small, narrow room, each wall lined with guns. Glancing about, she crept inside, her blue eyes wide at the amount of weapons on display. Pushing onto her toes, she tugged down one of the rifles, but even after pulling the strap around her neck, it felt large and awkward in her hands, reminding her of how small she was now, making her blush even more as she ran out from the room and down the hall.

The longer time went on, the more chaos she encountered, and the more her hope of getting outside faded. Her heart skipped a beat as she caught sight of Sarah, the attractive blonde that had treated her so cruelly when capturing her, back when she was a boy, now barking orders at a group of girls. Ducking around a corner to get out of sight, she realised she was shaking from head to toe. The fear was getting stronger, like she'd never felt before, and she thought she could even feel tears coming when she looked across the corridor, another open door revealing a shower room, which had been emptied upon the alarm being raised.

Racing across the corridor, she entered the room, her mary janes slipping on the wet tiles and her legs flying out from beneath her. She screamed and ended up on her backside on the wet floor, her legs spread out infront of her, and between them, was what she'd come looking for. The grill set in the tiles that the watered drained from. Her little fingers slipped between the gaps, and started to tug. It was heavy, her arms aching as she clenched her teeth and groaned, using all her strength to pull the grill out, leaving the square hole, only a foot wide in each direction, that dropped into a metal shaft, it's walls slick with water.

Charlotte glanced nervously back over her shoulder, towards the exit of the shower room, and then whimpered a little, wriggling closer to the hole, dropping her feet down into it, perching on the edge as she adjusted her large rifle, clutching it to her chest and wrapping both arms around it before wriggling her bottom over the edge. She dropped into the whole, her childish scream echoing up from it as she slid down the smooth side of the wet shaft, her chest tightening and her heart racing, a chill go through her entire body as the fall seemed to go on forever in the darkness before she plunged into a body of cold water at the bottom, still unable to see. The momentum from her long fall carried her right beneath the surface, and for a moment, she didn't know which way was up, spinning and twisting in the dark before being swept along by a current, which carried her backwards. She could feel her breath running out, now utterly gripped by fear, certain she'd met her end when she was flung out from the end of a large pipe that poked out of the perimeter wall, and tumbled another ten feet or so into a pool at the rear of the base, both headfirst and backwards, getting a mouthful of water as she again went beneath the surface. This time there was no current to fight, and seconds later she popped up, gasping for breath. Rubbing the water from her eyes, she looked up into the night sky, the gentle hum filling her ears from the machines that sucked water up from the poor and carried it through the girl's water purification system.

Still panting for breath, she paddled towards the edge of the pool, and crawled out onto the grass, soaked right through like a drowned rat, the large rifle still hanging against her body on the strap around her neck. She wasn't sure her heart would ever slow down as she lay there, in a state of shock, but forced herself up onto her hands and knees, squinting ahead of herself for any sign of life.

Michael spotted a big rectangular army-green crate in the back of the helecopter where the pilot pointed when he mentioned the gattling gun. Michael flung the strap of his binoculars around his neck and lifts open the crate. In it was a gattling gun and tripod assembly.
The boy frantically takes out the tripod first and puts the legs in the mounting brackets on the helecopter's floor so it won't fall out. With the easy part out of the way, Michael then goes back to the crate and lifts the heavy gattling gun with a grunt. It took nearly all his strength to carry it to the tripod. After looking it over, he had an idea of how to mount the gun onto the tripod and does so. He goes back to the crate again where the ammo crate for the gattling gun was and slides it over towards it and mounts it to the tripod. In the ammo-crate was a long belt filled with ammo that had to be about 100ft long.
After a quick examination, he finds the spot to where to clamp the belt onto the gun, loads it in and gives the gun a whirl to warm it up...

As the gun on the heli begins to warmup, Michael saw the large squad of goggled men firing rockets and bullets at the rickety building, he could already see a couple boys on the ground, though no blood from where he could see.

***

Charlotte found herself behind the base, it was near sunset right about now and the trees of the rear forward were blowing menacingly. She could hear the rocket fire in the distance. So far it didn't seem like any stray hostiles had made their way to her. She was hidden.

Julian looks over the invading forces from a window in the upper floor of the warehouse. "Great... never a dull moment in this boy's army..." He hefts his rifle, crouches down to present less of a target, and starts firing.
