[Teddy]

Solomon steps forward, clearing his throat. "Well, after talking a walk, I got lost and ended up at the weapons testing lab. I met 'Ebony' and the other one... She seemed fishy from the start.. And well... I was right."

[Mistress Guendolen]

"Fishy? Fishy?!" Lyra spun around, distinctly affronted. "Just what do you mean by that?! How was I fishy?"

[Katty]

"Um, sis. I think he ment me."

[Raleigh]

"I see. One last question for you lot then, Lyra, how did that weapon handle for you?"

[Mistress Guendolen]

"Handle for me?..." Lyra was somehwat nonplused, but she figured since it was a protype, they'd just get some extra research out of it.... "It handled well," she said. "Really well, as a matter of fact. Whoever made it did their job. The balance is perfect. In a funny coincidence, the hilt was just the right size for my hand, as well. I only put it through one short form- we really were leaving after that, honest!- and it felt... good. Not hard to wield at all. You know, if you want any further testing, I'd be more than happy to help...." She knew she was probably pushing her luck a bit by saying this, but she just couldn't help herself. Maybe it'll be interpreted as eager to help instead of eager to get my hands on that thing again....

[Raleigh]

The stern look of the guild master departed as he began laughing. "That was something I wanted to hear. You two will be fined for your actions. Jarrod for taking the form of Ebony and you for touching that weapon. On the bright side, the sword is yours now. They are designed to bond with their first user, so no one else can use it now even if they wanted to. You two siblings may go, Mr. Solomon, could you stay with me for a moment please?"

[Teddy]

Solomon nodded. Did the old man look familiar? Had he seen him before? He couldn't tell. But he did step forward, face serious. "I'm sorry.. I didn't mean that YOU were fishy.. I meant your brother's disguise was."

[Katty]

Me and my sister left the room. I was a bit dazed at what had just happend.

"Well, hopefully the fine is not like last time, if you remember that. I guess we should go back to the lab and pick up your sword then. Back to the 5 minute long vator then I guess."

[Mistress Guendolen]

"Oh...." Lyra blinked at Solomon for a second. "Well, all right, then. Yeah, back to the 'vator, little bro." She walked off with Jarred. "And believe me, I do indeed remember last time.... This is the first time I've ever been fined, though. I'll at least try to keep it the last...." Still, she wasn't as upset as one would expect, under circumstances. That lovely sword was hers.... The thought made her quite distinctly happy.

[Katty]

In the vator:

"So, sis. You um, seem to be in a good mood. Happy that you get that new sword? Um, yeah. Listen, I am real sorry that we got caught. I never wanted us to get into trouble. Sorry."

I looked down at the floor.

[Mistress Guendolen]

She patted him in the shoulder. "Look, don't mope about it," she said. "I walked into it with you this time, remember? I didn't have to go along with it, and I sure didn't have to play with that sword. But I did both. So no blaming yourself, okay? It's not just your fault. It was your idea, but I ran with it. So stop beating yourself up. I don't want to have to knock some sense into you, after all." She quirked him a little grin. "Yeah, getting that sword really does make me happy.... Not sure why, but it does. It feels good to know I'll be using it. Know how you get sometimes, when you see some odd thing or another, that you just sort of 'connect' with? That's what it was like with me and that sword.... Sorry. Rambling again." She looked down a bit apologetically. "Didn't mean to go off like that...."

[Raleigh]

Waits till the siblings are out of the room. "Mr. Solomon, I have been made aware you are in a rather unique position and might need some information. How can I help you?" As the guild master moves, one can see a necklace hanging from his neck. The item at the end of the chain looks like a stylized draconic eye, a similar charm seems to be on the collar around Ebony's cat form.

[Teddy]

Solomon half-smiled, crossing his arms. "If.. Well... To put it bluntly, I don't know who the hell I am, besides this identity I created... 'Solomon Thorn' isn't my real name, I know THAT much for sure. However, I don't remember what I used to look like, nor do I remember what I did to deserve to be damned, or did the demons just take my soul for kicks? Do YOU have any idea?"

[Raleigh]

"For the damnation part, no I am not aware. A lot of our members have done somethings that could get them damned, heck I am coating with so many different forms of enchantment and the like that I don't doubt that at least 7 different religions would say I will be damned at death. However, is there anything you recall at all about your past self that could give us a clue as to who you were? Would you like to perhaps check some of our archives or even the memorials to see if any of them bring back any memories?"

[Teddy]

"Hm. Well, all I remember is being part of the guild.. And that I was tough. But that could be the demon blood talking. And yes, I'd LOVE to look at the archives and the memorials... If I'm as great as I like to think I am, I'd have to be remembered. Could you direct me that way?"
