Hub Rp: Stand By, Set Up, Ready

[Raleigh]

"Sure, Ebony will lead you there when you get off the elevator."

((In the sewers.)) After the robots all shut down, the room is deathly quite. Suddenly a door way swings open and out steps Rico. Rico: "Seems we got a rodent problem."

[Teddy]

He nods. "Allright then.. Thank you, Guildmaster." With a possibly over-dramatic turn, Solomon moved out of the room, muttering to himself.

[Raleigh]

Ebony runs up and along Solomon. "Sorry the boss couldn't offer you more help. Sadly though, he's seen so many die that it isn't that surprising that he might not know who you were." She steps onto the elevator and takes on her human form.

As the siblings reach the ground floor, they find a woman standing there waiting on them. "Hello, my name is Wren. I was told to take you back to the lab to pick up your equipment. Mind coming with me?"

[Katty]

"Um, hello there Wyrn. Lead on."

Wow. She looks like she is my age and wow does she look good. But she is with the old man and Ebony, and I just got into trouble. Better not start anything now.

[Mistress Guendolen]

"Hey, Wren." Lyra waved a little, nonchalantly. And grinned to herself. There was a gleam in her little brother's eye.... Hm, looks like the sprig's seen something- or someone- to interest him other than gadgets.... Well, this was one instance where she was going to keep hands-off. She wasn't even sure she was right, after all. "How you doing? Sure thing, as Jarred here said, lead on." She was quite eager to get her hands on that sword again....

[Raleigh]

"Okay, follow me then." She begins leading them back to the lab. "By the way you two might want to come back in a week after this. We are going to be trying a new device that once thrown turns into a buzz saw blade thingy and cuts its way through the targets." They arrive at the door into the weapon testing range. "Also should be testing out some other neat stuff soon. You two got any assignments you are up to any time soon?"

[Mistress Guendolen]

"Really?" Lyra's ears perked up, in the proverbial way. These new designs sounded fascinating.... "Well, I for one am unassigned at the moment. So I would definitely love to come check that out. Need any further testers, by any chance?" Oh, how she'd like to get her hands on some of the stuff described....

[Raleigh]

"Hm.. we could use an enthusiast or two of weapons around here in the labs. Perhaps we can get you assigned to work in here with us, how's that sound?"

[Mistress Guendolen]

"Really?" At first, that sounded exciting. Only problem was... well... Lyra liked going on assignments. She'd never had a developmental sort of mind; she was a go-getter, a doer. Jarred was the one who planned things, created oddball gadgets and quirky things that may or may not come in useful. "I- I'll consider that, yes. I mean, I do like agent work, I know I'm good at it, but- well- I can see...."

[Katty]

"I'LL DO IT!!!" I blurred out. "I mean, um, I am mostly in charge of gateways and making sure that people get to where they need to, but I think I could get someone to fill in for me for a while. I do have a good bit of favors I can cash in"

Maybe not many favors, but enough to get my here with Wryn. Man she is cute.

OOC: What does Wryn look like anyway Raven? =^-^=

[Raleigh]

"Hahaha, no worries Lyra. I'm tend to talk out of my head at times. I do mean we will offer you a position if you want, but by all means stay in the field. I am told that we need all the agents we can get nowadays."

[Mistress Guendolen]

Lyra silently laughed at Jarred's enthusiasm- in a good-natured way, of course. It was... well, it was so him. He always wanted to play with stuff.... And she strongly suspected that the presence of Wren was involved, too. Well, if she could get him talking to girls, so much the better.... Yeah, so she may have been steadily unattached herself, but that was different. She was social by nature. Jarred was always experimenting so much, she sometimes worried he might eventually evolve into one of those shut-in mad scientist types who did nothing but live in a lab all day. She didn't want to see her little brother become one of those.... But- as for the offer- "Any chance I might be able to do some of each?" she said. "I'd love to help with testing, but as you said, you do need experienced agents in the field, too."

[Raleigh]

((Wren is brown haired and blue eyed. About 5'6" and around 19-20 in age. Thin build, hair reaches down to her shoulders. Standard street clothes, tennis shoes and the like. Lab coat though is worn over everything else.)) "Good Jarred, I am sure you will fit in around here just fine. I think we can arrange that Lyra."

[Katty]

"That is good. Very Good. I'll see you when you need me then."

OOC: Darn. Jarred is 16. His hopes are going too high. Oh well, the RP is still young for young Jarred. =^-^=

[Mistress Guendolen]

"Terrific!" Her hands came together in a single clap. "I'd love that.... Looks like you've got yourself a transfer, though, little bro! You'll do great in this area." She playfully ruffled his hair, happy to see him so excited. So yes, on second look, Wren was a little older than him. But it was a start. She'd never sensed an interest in any girl on his part before, so this was definitely good. Yes, she would encourage him to talk more with this Wren.... She'd be good for him.

OOC: Aw, c'mon, a lot of boys get crushes on older girls while in their teens, don't they? Consider her a start. Yes, he has plenty of time to find a lady friend of some variety. As for Lyra, she's not searching for a relationship, but that's not to say one might not find her anyway.... They tend to with frequency for my characters, after all.
