Sailor Lumina nods, "I'll go with the Mecha and the other girl here. I also have offensive abilities as well." She shows her new team her character sheet. "I hope I can add more defense, healing, and new light based powers...maybe get an upgrade..."

Melody smiles, looking at the girls around her. "Well, unless I am sorely mistaken, I think we've got everyone all sorted out now! Let's see... Apparently, We've got myself, Riani, Laura, and Jolene on one team. Disxia, Justina, Rose, and Lumina on another, while Harriette, Maxine, and Maria are on a third. Alright, I'll set up a tank NPC for the third group, and we'll all get started!"

Suddenly, all of them are thrust into a deep darkness. The darkness doesn't last long, however, before they are greeted by a giant map of the lands that, presumably, they are all going to be playing in. "Ulranorsca, a once peaceful land, has been thrown into an age of darkness." The image shifts to that of a woman with long green hair, wearing a black leather skintight outfit, with high heel boots, and a staff on her back. "Empress Dismona has conquered the far corners of the land, and with her reign has come a foul veil of darkness, and she has brought countless vile demons and monsters under her rule. But all is not lost. You are members of a small band of rebelious girls that have set out to rid the land of Dismona's evil grasp, and bring Ulranorsca back to its former beauty. You are the one last hope for this land and together, you shall accomplish great things."

After the short speech, the darkness fades, and the three groups find themselves in different locations. Melody, Riani, Laura, and Jolene appear to find themselves in a small camp. Disxia, Justina, Rose, and Lumina are in the forest, while Harriette, Maxine, and Maria are in a small, sparsely populated town, accompanied by what appears to be an angel.

"Huh... So we start in a town, eh? ...Looks like the other teams started off on their own areas... Guess we're on our own..." Harriette says to her teammates, and then notices the angel. "Um... who are you?"

She did say we'd get an NPC to fill our last slot...

"Well, at least now we have a Tank character to help us fight." Harriette says, shrugging.

"Dammit... forgot to ask if I could change my name..." she said once again paying attention to what was going on.

"While I can't complain about the game design, the VR is pretty advanced... that plot script was groan worthy" Justina said to the others not even really sure who she had been grouped with.

The angel smiles at the girls, bowing her head. "I am Saroria, it's a pleasure to meet you!"

"Ah hello Saroria, nice to meet you too." Maxine said.

She smiles. "It is a pleasure to meet you! I shall do my best to protect you in your endeavors."

Harriette bows back to the Angel. "Nice to meet you too, Saroria." Harriette says happily. "So... where do we go now, exactly?" Harriette says to her teammates.

Just at that moment, a guy walks up to the group, smiling. "Oh, hello there. Welcome to our town. I know there's not terribly much here, but make yourself at home. It's actually a wonder we've survived this long, seeing as how our crops have been subject to constant raids."

Goblins! My guess is that the mistress sends them out to small towns, like ours, to raid food and supplies for her army. I certainly wouldn't put it past somebody like her."
