Scientia began to slowly back out of her chair, and sneak towards the exit.

The Boss moved towards Elise and Tetsuo, scooting across the floor in a defensive martial arts stance. She had to step over an electric cable, as the laser she had hung off rotated on it's track, luckily undamaged. Both it and it's twin kept the nuclear rods in balance, preventing a possible meltdown.

When the Boss got close, she froze, one hand out, the other held close to her chest, where the armor was deformed, blocking the seams from another strike. She was just out of sword range, waiting for Elise to make the first move.

[Xiao]

Xiao saw Scientia slinking away, but didn't do much to stop her. His main goal was to keep the shields up and he didn't see her as much of a threat by herself. Plus he had no idea how long this caffeine would last, so it would be better to conserve energy.

Scientia left the room, and promptly ran for the hills. She cared for Tetsuo, and she was loyal to the Boss, and she didn't know what to do. Except get away, and wait until everything settled down. And to do that, she put down the device, and teleported to the blimp.

Tetsuo was no martial artist, but she knew enough that her lack of skill wouldn't allow her to take an effective action unless she saw an opportunity that she thought she could handle, whether if the Boss knew how to fight or not. So, she crouched, her eyes trained on the Boss like a hawk, ready to leap in to strike or dodge, or perhaps manage something together with Elise.

"You..." She practically hissed, addressing the Boss. "I won't let you take any more lives. Be they ours or those whose humanity you threaten."

"Then stop me." The boss steps forward then drops down, spinning in a sweeping kick designed to knock Elise, at least, off her feet.

[Mistress Guendolen]

Elise tried to dodge, but only half-succeeded, stumbling. She grabbed onto a projection, stabilizing herself. Acting on sheer instinct, she swung on it, using the momentum to bring her sword around in an arc, towards Boss's head. And the tip was glowing again....

OOC: I'm really sorry, but I'm going to be gone a couple days due to going to an anime con. I'll try to look in tomorrow early afternoon, but barring that, you won't see me again until Sunday afternoon at the earliest. I'm really sorry for holding things up at this point.

Tetsuo, on edge despite her inner strength, leapt back more out of reflex than reason. Her backside encountered the wall, making her wince because her tail caught squashed a bit. Then, seeing Elise performing an attack while she began to slide down from the wall, she decided to follow the sword strike by leaping off the wall and toward Boss, intending for her kick to be right behind Elise's blade so her attack comes no longer than a second later.

(OOC: No worries, Gwen. My character can hang loose. Geddit? XD)

(OOC: I wouldn't call her aim perfect, but she intends to have her foot come up behind the blade after its strike. So it's likely destination is between the eyes (highest) and the clavicles, where the upper chest is. I'll leave you to decide where in that area she strikes, if she does strike.)

The Boss is coming up from her leg sweep, and simply responds by ducking back again, Tetsuo flying over her head. She gets up a bit slow, and Elise is out of range by that time. Instead, she lunges after Tetsuo, trying to grab her back and knock her to the ground.

Tetsuo, without eyes behind her head, and off balance after failing to make the blow that she had expected, fell prey to the Boss' weight and got the winf knocked out of her.

"Gah...!"

Genno, while on the verge of death, COULD still have inner monologue.

"I... I need to.. Protect mankind. I need to protect HER." His fists clenched a bit, but quickly spread back out. "I can't die here. I refuse to die here! Can anyone hear me? P.. Please?"The please came out aloud... And then, Gennosuke began to laugh maniacally, fire spewing from the wound, from his feet and hands, and from his face.

"Allright then. It's SO good to be back in a body."

Elise ended up spinning in a half-circle as her strike was dodged. Thus, she was in a perfect position to see Genno get up, bursting with flame.... Her eyes grew huge, and a gasp emerged. "You're alive!"

The Boss, having pounced on Tetsuo, is now sitting on the catgirl's back, while wearing armor that ups her weight to at least three hundred pounds. She looks at Elise. "Um, no offense, but he's laughing insanely. That's not normally very good."

She looked up at the boss. "I- I'll take care of that later!" Right now, all she could think was, He didn't die! He's alive! He's alive!
