"Trying to jump the cliff would be suicide." said Garath, "Winter is coming soon for the Zora's domain so the leading to the lake is running low. If we tried to just we would be smashed apart as she hit the riverbed."
"Trap it is then." said Landara
The group got back on their horses and set off south-west. Their journey went as smothly as could be possible in such conditions until they came across something.
"Stop!" cried Garath, reigning in his horse.
In front of them, partially buried in the sand, was a body. The body of a hylian soldier. The cause of death was three arrow wounds to the chest and side, probably poisoned, however the corpse bore a hideous, grinning visage, dried up in the desert sun. Dismounting, Garath walked over to the body, picking something up on the way. when he reached the fallen man he rummaged around, as though looking for something.
"What are you doing?!" gasped Landara
"Something that must be done." said Garath
"You're raiding him?" asked Naarsa
Garath was silent as she took something from the body. It was an empty scabbard, into which he placed the object he had collected; the sword. Still wordless, Garath placed the weapon back with it's bearer, saying a prayer as he did so.
"What is he doing?" asked Naarsa
"He is giving the fallen man back his sword." said Merk, "A warrior is nothing without his blade, our friend here is paying his respects to a fallen comrade by allowing him to have his weapon to aid him in the beyond."
OOC: Don't worry people, we will get the chance to jump later, but for now, we pay our respects.
