Excavation: Completed

[Mitera Nikkou]

"I think it's more prudent to leave this forest." The non-floating lady said. ;p

"I'll tend to Holly, but we shouldn't dally around here any longer." Said she with a serious expression, removing her weight from the tree and ready to walk out of the forest.

When she reaches where Brenna is, Holly pauses and stares at the woman. "I'm not halusenating from hitting my head am I?" she mumbled retoricaly as she squinted from the light radiating from the woman.

She lowered her head and rubbed her forehead again, "Yes. I wouldn't mind leaving now. And I'll have you know you won't be 'tending' to me." Poor Holly is only cranky because her head still aches >.> She begins to walk in the direction of camp and mutters under her breath for no one to hear, "Tend to us just like the other crazy lady tried doing..."

[Mistress Guendolen]

"Holly, the lady may be a walking lantern- so no, you're not hallucinating there- but she's not out to kill us. You know how crazy knife-hand lady slashed my arm? Well, check this out." She held out the limb in question, indicating the healing so complete that there wasn't even a scar. "Lady Glowworm there did that. Without trying to do harm to any other limbs, either. Why don't you let her give you a check-out before we beat it? Won't hurt, might help...."

Lily heads back to camp as well, simply keeping a discrete eye on Holly to make sure she doesn't collapse. I knew this forest was strange, and had people, but I didn't expect this.

Holly continues forth in the direction of the excavation site. She might have heard Brenna, if not for the throbbing pulse in her head.

[Mistress Guendolen]

"Um..." Brenna watched for a moment; apparently either Holly didn't hear her or was too focused on her injured head to care. "I... think I'd better go with them...." Both hands wander-pointed towards her two friends. "So- uh- thanks, Lady Glowworm. Anything else you want to add before we go back there?"

[Mitera Nikkou]

It was at that time that said "Lady Glowworm" smacked her forehead with her palm.

"Oh, right..." She muttered to herself, as if remembering something, but could still (possibly) be heard by Brenna. "Actually, I'm coming with you."

In the blink of an eye, her body was obscured by her own luminescence, becoming a human-sized, oval-shaped sphere of light that soon became only a few inches in size. That small sphere of light went to occupy Brenna's shoulder, whom could feel a slight weight there.

For both present and future reference (depending on the characters' positions at this moment), Holly, Brenna and Lily, if they observed their surroundings, may notice that the forest seemed calmed, almost relieved. There was no wind or any other strange and unexplainable things (well, besides a certain shoulder resident)... Just a seemingly-normal forest that gave off a sense of peace.

Other than that, once they broke away from the trees, they'd be greeted by a normal sky filled with twinkling stars, and a path unobstructed by obstacles on the return trip to the excavation site.

(OOC: And I probably don't have to tell anyone this, but it's also a good time to toss questions at "Lady Glowworm", not that things are, well, not involved. And that's a silly name, I'll have you know. ;p)

Lily looks to Lady Glowworm. "So. Um...what's your name?" Strange, it feels so quite. And the sorrow-filled wind no longer blows...

"Um..."

While she could no longer be seen due to her glow, anyone could possibly understand, from how she sounded, that she was embarrassed.

"Well... I'll tell you later..."

[Mistress Guendolen]

"Later? Why later? Why not now? It's not like there's anyone here to overhear it, other than us." Brenna didn't take long to get used to the small glowing shape on her shoulder. It felt quite natural, actually. "Though hey, do you know anything about crystals that glow? 'Cause we found some back at the site, and the Doc won't let us explore them properly." It feels different here. Almost... relieved. Weird. But peaceful, too.

OOC: Yes, I do indeed realize that Lady Glowworm is a silly name. But it was an in-character comment to make.

Holly pauses in her determined walk back to camp noticing a change in the forests presence also. She let out a light sigh turning to glance at the three behind her. For a moment her eyes fixated on the ball of light on Brenna's shoulder. Once she realized she was staring she turned quickly and picked up her pace. She could only wonder if she wanted anything to do with all of this. The wondering stoped when her headache throbbed back to the front of her thoughts. She continued her pace and placed two fingers on her left temple trying to soothe herself.

[Mitera Nikkou]

"Yes, I know of glowing crystals..." She replied, with a resigned sigh.

However, having been looking at Holly, making sure that she was alright, she found a way to steer the subject someplace.

"Though I do wonder why she has to be so stubborn. It certainly looks like she's in pain."

[Mistress Guendolen]

"She's been in a funny mood since this thing started. I mean, I got up for a late-night snack and there she was; she said she was 'guarding' the crystals to make sure no one bothered them. So I don't know what's going on with her.... But what about those crystals?"

[Stellar]

Holly doesn't take note of the conversation behind her, she just wants to get back to camp and go to sleep.

"What about them...?" She countered evasively.
