"What the heck do they do, why do they glow, and what would happen if we were hit by a beam of light from them?" Lily decides to cut to the chase, since Lady Glowworm seemed to be the type who enjoys skirting aorund the edges.

Holly's determined walk slows some, from being tired, and to hear the conversation behind her.

[Mistress Guendolen]

Brenna hurried a bit to walk with Holly. "Don't worry, we're almost home," she said, trying to be bracing. "Then you can put an ice pack on your head and go to sleep.... After the lady answers Lily's questions, of course." Brenna turned to look at the lady in question, so she was now walking backwards; always dangerous, when your feet seem to be mostly thumbs.... "For that matter, why did that little stone start glowing too? And changing color. It was like a little alarm or something."

[Mitera Nikkou]

"Can't this wait?" Said a voice from within the glow that concealed the speaker, who sounded exasperated. "I'm tired. Didn't you notice? Well, when you could see me? It wasn't easy to reach you in time to stop that moon faery. I just want some rest before I get into explaining things... Because I intend to explain, but there's much that I need to tell, and my mind is still a bit overwhelmed. I think you owe me that much, being as irresponsible as you all were."

[Stellar]

"We never asked for your help. And if it was such a troublesome thing to do then why take the time to stop that psycho for us," Holly said bluntly as she continued through the trees.

(@_@ we've been walking a long time now, I'm not sure how many different ways I can itterate that Holly is trudging along)

[Mitera Nikkou]

(Well, Holly can stroll, gallop, traipse, march, tramp... ;p You must take into account that the characters have been talking since they left the forest, and none of the speech has lasted as long as it takes to walk from the forest to the camp site... Not close at all. Which is partly why I'm making my character say that she wants to wait to explain, so it can take place at a more opportune place and time for when others can join the next part. Dun-dun-dunnnn! So, once the characters have enough of the whole talking thing (because my character isn't trying to encourage it on purpose XD), we can jump tot he camp site. :O)

The group of girls are still a good distance from the camp site, but the sun seems closer to the horizon in comparison. You know... Just because! @_@

"Why, you'd rather me have let all of you die back there?" She replied to Holly, her voice raised, sounding upset.

Lily, is about to say something, but when Holly complains, she shuts up. Just keep quiet. Just keep quiet. Let Lady Glowworm smite Holly.

She notices that they're getting close to the camp, but decides not to say anything until they get there. Holly was staying on track, which was good.

[Mistress Guendolen]

"We weren't being irresponsible, just adventurous and curious! As any proper, healthy young adult ought to be." Brenna nodded once, as though agreeing with herself. "Though if you're gonna be stubborn about it, I guess we might as well wait. And if you need rest, you need rest. So do we. Especially Holly. She's not usually this grumpy. Then again, she doesn't usually crash head-first into trees, either."

Lily gets an idea, and decides that she might as well. It could be funny. "That's usually your job, Brenna."

[Mistress Guendolen]

Brenna thought about this. "Point," she said after a moment. "And here I haven't had a single disaster this whole adventure-" Given that she was still walking backwards, narrative convention chose that moment for her to trip over a tree root and tumble head-first into a bush. "Pah," she said, spitting leaves out of her mouth. "Except for that, okay?"

[Mitera Nikkou]

"Like I said..." Came a strained, somewhat pained voice from inside the bush, in the vicinity of where some of light could be seen. "Irresponsible..."

[Mistress Guendolen]

"How is falling in a bush irresponsible?" Brenna rummaged through the greenery she had, until then, been still trying to flounder her way out of. "That's just clumsy. Now, where are you?"

[Mitera Nikkou]

She appeared before Brenna with her glow dimmed down to the point where she could be seen. Her hands were planted upon a horizontal part of a branch, at about eye level with her.

"Because you weren't thinking about me when you decided to not watch where you were going!" She practically screamed, her eyes tearing up. "Don't you ever think about us? The people that worry about you? When I realized what you had gotten yourselves into, I thought I would have died of worry before I got to you!"

At that point she seemed to lose her energy, as if it poured from between her fingers. And as her energy level seemed to fall, so too did her her body slump and her head lower, as if weighed down by guilt. And that was about all that was seen before her natural glow overtook her form and she became nothing but a spherical-shaped ball of light.

"But I'm just as guilty of irresponsibility for not stopping you from going..." She said in a soft, subdued tone. She hadn't known about the dangers at the time, but she wasn't going to use that as an excuse.

Lily shakes her head, and takes hold of the little ball of light. "You were not irresponsible. The warnings were there, the rock that glows red, the feelings. There was enough hints that this was a place no mortal should trespass. The very air breathes of it. Yet, people like us. We desire to do what is forbidden, even if doing so means our destruction. I should know, for I did something forbidden...And will be destroyed."

Being caught in another time warp, Holly begins walking faster yet again. At the moment her head was still pounding too much to feel any sorrow even though it traced her mind. Brenna's clumsyness likely gave her a good lead since Holly didn't stop her bee line path back to camp.

"People are probly waking up by now," she mumbled seeing the sun peek out of the horizon. "Great me sleeping all day will make the professor wonder what may have happened." She sighed placing a hand on the lump on her head, "Worrysome old man... hmm," her pace slowed back to normal as an idea crossed her mind.
