His gusto made Elise smile. She'd heard young men had hearty appetites; looked like it was true, at least in this case. "Lucky for me," she said lightly. "Not many girls are fortunate enough to get a boyfriend who knows his way around the kitchen!" She smiled wider at him. "Not to mention one who's also such a great guy."

"Glad ya think so Elise.. Too bad I eat so much, or I'd be perfect, like you." He gave her hand a loving squeeze, and continued to eat with his free hand.

Well, his "perfect" comment made her blush a bit, but she said, "Me? Perfect? That- that's silly. And your appetite doesn't bother me at all. I think you're just right. Just right for me, anyway," she added shyly, eyes down a bit. Her fingers tightened around his hand.
