In "Drool's" wallet, Neko will find out that his name is "Mizaki Tetsuo." He had fifty [enter currency type here], which he had planned to use to add to resin statue collection.

Meanwhile, Para A had tossed Tetsuo onto a stretcher in the back of the ambulance, then gave him a smile that bespoke of mad doctors everywhere. "You'll be alright, my boy!" He snapped on some rubber gloves. "You're in good hands."

"Eep?" Tetsuo replied.

Michiko turned as the paramedics left, sending Tetsuo's mother blasting off. From what he could tell, people they were rushing in and out, but the details escaped his senses.

"So, does it have Mr. Dreul's true name in there," He asked Neko, "Or maybe an adress. Ooh! We should send him a get well card, or maybe some flowers, or one of those little teddy bears wearing a T-Shirt."

Neko pockets the fifty dollars. "Maintenence fees, check. Now..." She runs after the paramedics. "HEY! YOU FORGOT THE GUY'S WALLET!"

Unfortunately, ParaB had already started the ambulance, and was backing out. Neko, unconcerned, leaped onto the top of the ambulance, and latched on tight, as the vehicle turned into the nearby street.

Elise blinked a couple more times. "Okay, another new sight to chalk up to the list.... Though I think I'm getting, at a deeper level, used to all this. Though a little surprising, that wasn't as much of a shock as it would have been when I walked in here not very long ago...."

[Teddy]

"Well.. We seem to have reached a junction. We could go and check up on Neko and Druel, or we could go and find a house. Personally, I don't really care, so I'll leave it up to ya."

Bob, meanwhile, pulls out a little schedule, and writes down the current time, as the time Neko left work. He looked at the time she entered, did a little math, and wrote down her salary for the day. Then he looked at the damage to the store, did some MORE math, and nodded. Yup, another day where he doesn't have to actually pay the catgirl.

[Mistress Guendolen]

"I'd say that finding a place to live and a way to pay for said place takes first priority. After all, we don't know what hospital they were taking him to. Granted, something tells me it wouldn't be hard to find out.... Just follow the trail of chaos, most likely."

"Well.. We seem to have reached a junction. We could go and check up on Neko and Druel, or we could go and find a house. Personally, I don't really care, so I'll leave it up to ya."

Genno nodded, gave a wave to Bob, and headed out of the coffee shop, hands in his pockets. "I'll catch ya later Bob, Michiko! Good luck with your shop and everything... And you have good luck carving a path through life Chiko."

[Mistress Guendolen]

Elise waved to everyone, as well. "No doubt we'll see you all soon enough, anyway. I have a feeling that we're going to be here fairly regularly.... But you all take care until then!" Then she headed out after Genno. "Hey, wait up! Your legs are longer than mine, remember."

OOC: So, is establishing a new thread for this in order, now? Once we decide we've found a place, no doubt an "Apartment Complex" thread will be in order (and if all goes well, at least a couple other players will avail themselves of those facilities, as well), but what should fill the gap until then? A random "city streets" sort of thread where people walk around on as a bridge between other established threads, or what?

"Bye bye, new friends. May the path I carve out run crossways through mine in the most pleasant of ways." Michiko said, waving happily at his at his friend's departure, "I should probably hunt down that dojo I'm supposed to be inheriting myself...."

Chiko walked up to the counter and leaned on it, adressing Bob, "So, how much do I owe ya?"

He wordlessly shows her the bill. It's slightly less than Starbucks.

Michiko pulls a wallet out of his pants and thumbs through it, retriving a close enough approximation of the correct amount before happily setting it down on the counter.

"Please, keep the change, Mr. Bob." He said, turning and bounding out of the establishment himself.

Bob smiles, and rings up the money. This was a great town to set up shop in.

Para A looked up at the roof of the ambulance, wondering what that clambering sound up there had been. Not caring that the ambulance was now in motion, he opened up one of the two back doors and pulled his head over the top, and promptly sprayed blood from his nose upon seeing Neko from the rear. He then lost his grip when he used one hand to cover his nose, and half of his body fell beyond the interior of the ambulance. With the back of his head near the moving pavement, and his arms waving back and forth frantically, he screamed for help even though his partner couldn't hear him in the cab of the ambulance.

Neko hears him, and she kicks off her shoes. She digs her nails into the back of the car as her body shifts. She swings backwards, and grabs ParaA, with hands that are now more like paws. Her face pushes out into a muzzle, and her newly furry face smiles. "Gotcha!"
