"Sweetheart, huh? Whatever you say, Moira." I take the ammo and shove it into a dirty little sack made out of Brahmin hide. "You still working on that book of yours? What was it called.... 'Guide to the Wasteland' or somethin' like that?"

The black-suited man shoves Blake's hands behind his back and ties them together. "That's better. Don't resist again or I'll be forced to evicerate you." The first man--the one who was flipped-- gets back up and punches Blake in the stomach before leading them northward.

______
Elijah performs his "duties" without further interruption.

______
(Okay, that's a little god-modish)

The third Raider falls with a scream and a sizzle. It might not be pretty, but for the moment, all threats have been eliminated for now.

______
Max nods and adjusts the monster on his back. "Yeah. Found it outside a locked door. Where'd you get yours?"
C'mon, Andy, thinks Max. This guy's a bit too friendly.

______
"Nope, I finished that a while ago with the help of a real dear." Her smile gets even bigger. The merc deigns to roll his eyes. "Oh, and it's called 'The Wasteland Survival Guide'. Did you want a copy? I think I have a few left in the storeroom."

".... Sure, what the heck. I could always use some more reading material for when I'm on the crapper."

If anything, it'll make good toilet paper, at least.

"Found in in Vault 112. Creepy place. Full of people in pods. Weird thing is that there were signs of other people being there. I found two fresh sets of footprints leading in and out." Felix said, looking out for his meal.

((Do they take his salvage with them?))

Blake winces, but smirks at the man punching him. "I bet you wouldn't last five minutes against a 'lurk, you armored jackass. My granny could punch harder than you."

As they head north, his tied hands rubbing against his back fiddling with the nobs, dials, and buttons on his Pip Boy until it begins blaring out.

*crackle* "-pretty flowers need the sun. This applies to everyone. Life’s worth living. When nature’s giving. Happiness to everyone. So let’s go sunning..."

Blake grins.

((oh and I just finished Mothership Zeta... I have around 3,500 rounds of alien ammo, an Atomic Pulverizer, 75 points in Energy Weapons, and the Xenotech Expert perk.... its on, baby... people are going to be finding little piles of blue ash EVERYWHERE.))

By the time he's finished "preparing" the bodies, Elijah's arm is throbbing constantly. He shuts and locks the trapdoor to his little hideaway and starts on his way. He listens to the Enclave's radio signal, not because he enjoys the ramblings of their farcical president, but because the music helps him keep a steady pace as he grimaces his way to Megaton. Hopefully, there will be some kind of medic there to patch him up.

Moira pulls a thick book from a nearby shelf and hands it to Rico with yet another smile. "Here you go! This one's on me."

______
Jenny comes back out with a plate of food for Felix. "Sorry about the wait. We're a bit short today. 15 caps, please."
Max shrugs and finally drops his hairy load. He rubs the back of his neck where the fur chafed his skin. "Yeah. Spooky."
Andy finally appears in the doorway and Max gives an audible sigh of relief. "About time, man! Let's go." To Felix he says, "Nice speaking to you." Max drags the Yao Guai in behind him and closes the door.
Jenny, leaning against the wall, turns back to Felix. "Charming fellow, isn't he?"

______
(Yes)

The man dragging Blake's sack in the dirt speaks to the one twisting on Blake's arm. "Why do we have to waist our time with these pathetic excuses for members of humanity? What's the President driving at?"
"Keep that talk to a minimum, soldier. You might live longer," came the other's reply. Neither seemed to notice or care about the music.

After what feels like an absurdly long walk/drag, they come across what looks almost like an enormous arena of some sort. To say it's huge is to understate the obvious. It's a perfectly round bowl of grey steel, surrounded every few tens of feet by what could only be described as an over-sized bird with propellers instead of wings. In between these is another three of the black-suited men, standing at attention behind another set of individuals in grey uniforms, who are in turn facing the giant bowel, which is empty. Several of the black vehicles are flying about overhead like vultures.

(You lucky sonofajerk. I probably won't be able to play Zeta until the GotY comes out.  )

______
(It's okay. But I'd consider anything smaller than, say, a Mole Rat minor. Raiders are still a viable threat. And yes, caps are awesome)

Rein gets about 400 feet from his sniping position before he's accosted by two Radscorpions, all snipping pincers and flailing tails.

______
Predictably, Elijah only meets Deputy Weld at the gate to Megaton. "Welcome. To. Meg-a-ton. Thir-sty? Try. Mor-i-ar-ty's." Eventually, the giant metal gates creek noisily open, allowing Elijah inside.

Felix shrugs as he hands over the caps. "In the world we live in, I consider "charming" as someone who won't hit you for speaking to them. Thanks for the meal." He grabs an Iguana on a stick and bites into it.

When he hears the sack being dragged he speaks up. "You MIGHT want to be a bit careful with that sack... it has a few two hundred-year-old atomic warheads inside of it. Just saying..."

After a long time he looks up and sees the dome. "Well f*** me... where the hell did that come from..."

The radio pauses after the song, and Three-Dog's gives a nasally voice impression of Eden. "Its me Amreica... your President... John Henr-ehehehehahaha! Got ya!"

((Hehehehe... Anchorage is next on my list... I hear at the end of it you get a suit of winterized T51-b power armor that has like... 10 million item HP. So it pretty much never degrades its condition noticeably. :D))

Elijah enters and lets his right shoulder droop from relief at seeing the large sign that reads "Clinic". He just manages to keep himself from running down the slope before barging through the door. "Where's the doctor?"

[yeah, the winterized is the way to go. And since the nice suit bonuses are in the helmet, you have an indestructible helmet you can use if you want to be more "agile". There's also an infinite ammo glitch.]

Jenny smiles. "You gotta point there. Honestly, I don't know what these people are mad at. They've got shelter, drinks, food... That's all you need, right?"

______
(Those rumors are true. I've seen it for myself several times. I think I can safely classify it as Epic. Also, you automatically get the Power Armor Perk upon completion of O:A, so you don't have to wait until after Waters of Life to wear it)

The soldier ignores Blake. It appears he's not in a very good mood. The one holding his arm stops long enough to twist knobs and push buttons on the Pip-boy until he turned the radio off, muttering about complicated pieces of s***.

Both begin leading Blake toward the large dome, where a few others like himself were being tossed bodily into the center of the bowl and sliding down into its center.

______
Doc Church almost leaves his chair when Elijah bursts in. He's sitting by his "desk" next to the door, evidently engrossed in a copy of The DC Journal of Internal Medicine. "What the hell, man? You trying to give a man a heart attack? But whatever. I assume you're here for that bullet wound?"
The injury in question had turned a nasty green color.

______
(I don't think I should have to say this, but could we keep the major cursings to a minimum?)

There's not any grenades, but there's a frag mine hanging from the first Raider's belt. One of the Radscorpions catches up to Rein and clips his arm with a claw.

Felix shook his head. "There are some places in the Wasteland that don't have even that. You ever heard of Big Town? They constantly live on the skin of their teeth and face daily Super Mutant attacks. It's a crapsack world we live in, but that doesn't mean we can't try to get along." He dug into the Squirrel Stew with gusto.
