Noah shakes Carl's hand. "I'm Noah." he says. "Nice to meet you."

"That's Drake. Yes, that is my name. How is that for coincidence? Looks like we are all roomies." She seems amused by this turn of events as if she almost expected it. I suppose you must be Chione then, correct?" She opens the door for all three so they can step in and look/feel around.

Chione nodded. "That would be me, yes. Weird sort of coincidence indeed. Almost like something out of a story, you know?... Especially as we both have the same last name!" Then again, it being alphabetical, perhaps, that would make perfect sense. She glanced into the room, ready to let the others actually enter first.

Amy raised an eyebrow. It certainly was a remarkable coincidence. Then again, this sort of thing happens all the time, so she just dismisses it as a clever convenience. Holding on to the door frame to make sure she didn't plow headlong into it, she enters the room, automatically looking around, though she can't see.

"Wow. Convenient. What does it look like?"

"Let's have a look around and we can find out." Chione went in afterwards, hand wandering around on the wall to find the light switch. "There it is...." The light flipped on. "And here we are!"

(I don't know how these rooms are supposed to look, so I'm being vague until then.)

The rooms in both dormitories where identical. Tatami mats covered floors devoid of any furnishings save for a single small table, easily moved if need be, in the center of the room, a fridge in one corner with a microwave nearby, and a cabinet in another. On top of the cabinet was a small TV. On the wall to the right of the doors there was a rather large closet.
Hmm.... Does anyone actually read these anyway?

Sandra steps into the room and nods her head. "Ahh, looking nice. Reminds me of home. I wonder if this is where the futons would be." She walks over to check the cabinet. "Amy, the room is fairly traditional Japanese fair. One small and easily moved table. Tatami mats for ease of cleaning and comfort and the rest is pretty much open room."

"Futons?" Chione started poking around. "We don't even get real beds?" Man, this place was so Spartan they expected their students to sleep on the floor. "That's going to take some getting used to.... I haven't slept on the floor since I was last at a slumber party, when I was twelve!"

Despite Chione's tone, Amy seems satisfied with a floor bed. Her own tone is appreciative and optimistic.

"Well, at least it's better than gravel, right?"

"Okay, point taken there. Still, floor mats? Either they've got a tight budget, or figure it'll toughen us up. That or they've got a lot of Japanese people on staff...." Around here, who knew? And the room's ambiance was pleasing enough, admittedly.

Inside the closet were, rather predictably, three bigger then normal futons, sheets, pillows and blankets. Additionally there were three approximately cubic chests, tall enough to reach Sandra's waist, located side by side; each with the name of one of the room's occupants emblazoned brightly on the lid.

"Hey, they even gave us trunks. That'll help!" Their own personal space, as well as a communal closet. Things were looking up! Chione dragged the one with her name on it over against the wall, popping the lid open to see what the interior looked like. Would it just be an empty space, have little shelves for storing small items, or what?

"Trunks?"

Amy walks over to where she heard Chione's voice, ending up a little left of center, but eventually working out which one of the trunks is hers, mostly by feeling the nameplates with her finger.

"Wow. This is actually a bit more than I'm used to."

She feels along the edges until she finds the latch, and opens the trunk, feeling around inside to see what she can "see".
