"Good boy. Don't worry, I don't bite," the woman teases. "Unless you want me to." She makes a playful biting motion and rubs the empty spot on her chair for Tyler.
The girl stops trying to dance and just stands on the pad. She quickly regains her balance. "I don't think so. It's fine now. Heh, that's the weirdest thing."
Aunt Hilda sighs and closes the door. "I was hoping to wait until you were older, but you've been growing so fast. I guess I should tell you. That medallion is all your parents left for you before they left you in my care. You might want to sit down before I tell you the rest though."
The server comes back to refill Matt's drink. "Enjoying your meal sir? Anything else I can do for you?"
The kids smile at each other. "But it is fun!" They squirt him again and run off out of sight.
"Actually, I knew right off the bat you were underage. If you can't grow a beard, don't try it. The biggest kicker was asking for a brand of tequila for your vodka. Come on, what would Jose Cuervo know about Russian liquor?" The bartender shakes his head. "Good to see you have a sense of humor about it." He laughs a bit more and then snaps his eyes directly at Mike, dead serious. "Now get out of my bar."
Kimiko nods. "On the bow. I'd love that." She keeps smiling at Andy. Karen grabs her and gives Andy an apologetic look. "We'll meet you in 30 minutes, okay? Come on, Kimiko. We need to go freshen up ourselves." She starts to drag Kimiko, who seems a little dazed.
"I guess I don't either! It just... Ooooh!" She puts her hands on her hips and taps her foot. She gives Zander an appraising look over. "At least I'm not the only one on this cruise that still has a sense of decency. So did that crap ruin your plans for the night too?"
Bill sees the glow that Tyler did not, feels the shaking that Matt and Nick hardly noticed. "This can't be good..."
The sky darkens around the boat, despite the sun still being visible. It's brightness becomes that of a pale moon. The water around the boat shines with a bright yet soothing light. Drops of water coalesce at the surface and pull themselves up. They drop towards the open sky, like a luminescent rain, only backwards. Soon, the darkened sky is filled with the drops, in number like the stars.
