"Something hot would be nice...."

The man, ignoring the questions of the girls, found himself a seat nearby, not caring that his soaping wet clothing was ruining the furniture. There was a gaping hole in his heart.... Though he had avenged the loss of nearly everything he had, he still felt empty.

"Why?" he repeated to himself, leaning on his knees and staring blankly ahead. "What's the point?"

[Mistress Guendolen]

Gwen made him a cup of hot chocolate, something she found soothing, and also gave him a towel to dry himself off with. "There," she said. Then she sat down next to him, and gently took his hand. "Want to talk?" she said quietly. "Trust me, I'm a good listener...."

[AshK]

"Please let us help you! We would really like you to talk to us. What is your name?" I asked.

"Where are you from?" Leigh asked.

"Leigh I think it's best that we let Gwen talk to him alone. Madison, Kristy let's go into the kitchen and let Gwen talk to him alone. He is obviously nervous about talking around all of us girls no offense Madison. Your physical body may be female but you are still male on the inside unlike the rest of us."

"Good idea!" Leigh said as everyone except for Gwen and the newcomer went into the kitchen.

[Mystic Mina]

His gloved hand, soaked with the infected rain, jerked away from Gwen's grasp. Hopefully, she hadn't held on long enough for there to be any effects.

"Don't touch me." He whispered, his voice icy. "I'm cursed. Cursed by this damn rain...."

He held his hand up to his face and clenched it tightly. Drops of water squeezed out of the cloth and fell to the floor.

"Damn it. Franz.... Why did I have to kill you? Damn it, Franz.... Franz...."

[Mistress Guendolen]

Okay, so he didn't want touched. She'd accept that. But maybe she could get him to vent to her.... "Franz? Was he..." No, not "that awful wolf-creature." Be more tactful. "A victim of this?" Her hand went to the window, indicating the rain. "A... a friend, I assume?..."

[AshK]

"Well Kristy are you hungry? I am so totally hungry. What do you want Kristy? Madison what do you want?" I asked.

"I am so totally worried about that guy. We so need to help him. The only way we could help him is if he talks to us! Damn It! We have to help him!" Leigh said angrily.

"Leigh, Sis calm down. We have to just let Gwen and him talk. I'm sure he will come around eventually. I wonder why he keeps saying Franz everytime he glances out the window? I said and then asked.

"Maybe that Chimera was a person originally." Leigh said.

"Well duh Leigh! Why else would that guy keep saying Franz every single time he looks out the window? Is the red hair of your angel form warping your mind into a redhead's mind? So Kristy Madison are you hungry." I said as I pulled out several cans of Campbell's Soups ranging from Chicken Noodle, to Cream of Mushroom to Tomato.

"It is so not! I know that creature had to be a person at one time. I'm sorry I asked that." Leigh said.

"That's okay sis. So Kristy, Madison what do you want to eat?" I asked.

[Kris_Roth]

Kristy nods..."I'll have the chicken noodle soup. Maybe we should make soup and sandwiches for everyone."

[AshK]

"Here you go Kristy. What do you want Sis?" I asked after I handed Kristy a can of Chicken Noodle Soup.

"Soup and Sandwiches sound like a good idea. I will have the Tomato Soup and Grilled Cheese." Leigh said.

*Ashley opened up a can of Chicken Noodle Soup for herself.*

"Madison what do you want?" I asked my cousin.

[Mystic Mina]

"Close...." He muttered, his fist pressed against his forehead. "Like brothers.... Until the infection started. None of us knew it until it was too late.... By then, he...."

An awkward silence hung between the two for a few moments.

"..... It's in the past. You need not know about it."

He took a quick sip of the hot chocolate she had handed him earlier. It was supposed to taste sweet, but for some reason, it was bitter in his mouth....

[Mistress Guendolen]

"But do you need to talk about it?" she asked gently. "Maybe it would help. I promise I won't judge. I'll just listen. I don't mind." She wanted to take his hand again, but figured he'd only shake it off, and so didn't press.

[AshK]

*Ashley looks at Leigh and Kristy eating. She notices that Madison isn't eating anything at all She gets worried.*

"Madison! You so have got to eat to keep your strength up. I know I am so not your mother but since I am the oldest of the Cousins in here I am in charge of feeding you. Could you please at least eat a little something Madison? Maybe some Chicken Noodle Soup or a sandwich of some sort? I guess you can make your own food." I said.

"So Kristy how's the soup? I so wonder how that guy is? I hope Gwen is getting through to him." Leigh asked then said.

"So do I sis, so do I." I said as I continued to eat my Grilled Cheese Sandwich and Chicken Noodle Soup.

[Tala]

"Just give me some sushi. I am not very hungry. My gut hurts."

[Mystic Mina]

"No, I don't need to, especially to someone I do not even know."

Having finished his hot beverage, the man placed the cup that once held the liquid on a nearby table.

".... Why do you even ask?"

His steel eyes glared at Gwen. Obviously, he did not feel like talking to a complete stranger about his personal problems, especially at this time.

[AshK]

"Okay Cuz here you go some Sushi for you." I said.

*Hands Madison her Sushi.*

"Enjoy cuz." I said as I went back to my Soup and Sandwich.

[Mistress Guendolen]

"Because I'm concerned. I don't reserve that for people I know well. I see someone upset, and it upsets me. I just want to help. But if it's really too personal, I'll leave you alone. I don't want to harass you. As I said, I simply want to help. And sometimes, talking can do that. I was just offering to be a sympathetic set of ears for a few minutes. I guess that's too much for you," she said, the last bit a little stiffly.
