"Alright then..." He writes this down, then nods at the door. "Off you go."

Haylie wrote:"Right. Sorry I snapped, then. He's right on the other side of Overwatch, near the wall. Not a bad spot, all considered. Just wish there were a few more girls 'round there. Anyway, he lives in the smithy, just look for the sign with two hammers making an 'X' over a wood sign that says 'Blacke Smithy'. Can't miss it, really."

(And the puns just keep a-rollin' in)

"Eh, its fine." He finishes writing this down. "Through the door to the left."

The mental alertion it provided was quite covert and minor but sufficient in telling him if something amiss was in the areas in question. The other 2 he had created at the castle gates usually sufficed when dealing with humans but with 'unknowns' additional wards were always nice to have. His chant done he proceed to grab some food to eat while he waited.

Already at the table are several hungry heroes... one rather rough barbarian glances over and snorts. "Oi! Who let the kid in 'ere?"

The guard near the outer door checks his watch. "Right... we are almost ready to begin."

Holding his tong, Francis nodded still keeping his cheerful expression. “I’ll be fine, Thank you for your concern.” He said walking through the door letting out a sigh once he had gotten out of the man’s view.

Trey's eyes narrowed even more and as her sword came out, so did his. "This Sun Goddess of yours is as demonic and hate-ridden as those demons we intend to slay. Her honeyed words destroy the soul and corrupt the mind. By my hand, as surely if there is any justice in this world, you will not be accepted by the king as an unholy exterminator." he quickly threw his visor down and picked up his shield, "Now...would you like to come with me quietly for your crimes or shall we prove here and now who's God is true and whose is false?" this woman was no Lady as he suspected in the beginning, she rivaled the very grizzled of blackguards he had heard of. As sure as the Holy Father's inspiration filled him, this demon would fall today.

Peter spreads his arms and smiles again. "Terrific! Wish me luck, mate!"

He then high-steps through the door in question, whistling a little tune. One begins to wonder how this moron ever became an archer.

Her own blue eyes narrowed as he challenged her, but she calmly set her sword back down across the table, and lowered herself back into her chair, tapping her fingers in a rhythm across the wooden arms. "I didn't come here today to prove anything to anyone. I came to save these people, people like you... ", she said, her other hand lifting, one slender finger pointing right up at Trey's chest. "I have a deep sympathy for you and your brothers if your Holy Father considers it fitting to provoke battle against those that come to save you".

Trey had hit a moral snag. On the one hand, he had taken an oath to further the Holy Father's word, on the other he had sword to fairness and justice...so slashing her face off then and there would be dishonorable. He pointed his sword at her with more fervor, "If you disregard and decline my challenge, then I am proven right about YOUR kind. I banner my Holy Father's cause. Your cowardice will only delay the inevitable, you heretical swine." half of him was breaking for talking to a woman like this, but she was a defender of a false religion AND PROUD OF IT. He had to prove his faith, even if she lacked the will to prove hers.

Ginny did not rise from the chair, nor did she look away from his gaze, but lifted her hand, her fingers curling just a little, around the tip of his sword, without actually touching the blade. "Do not mistake this for cowardice or a lack of faith. My Goddess wishes me to help save this land, and killing you would not be the best start now, would it? If you must have proof of my Goddess' power, I shall be happy to to unleash it upon you... AFTER we have saved this Kingdom.. ".

Hogarth shrinks in his robe a little, trying to make himself as inconspicuous as possible. It was just his luck that he would be surrounded by these super-devout people, and loud ones at that. "I'll be glad when this is over..." He murmurs. He freezes and his gray eyes go wide. He tries to hold it in, even brings a finger to his nose, but he can't contain it. The obtuse little farmer in the corner sneezes and keeps his eyes shut, hoping that he didn't draw too much attention to himself.

Dendin knew it was futile for now. Should he start a fight, the guards would be after him and he might not be able to participate in the arena. "Very well...but be prepared to watch your power fail like an unleashed rat swarm into a burning stove." he said nothing else, sheathed his sword, and removed his tower shield from his arm and stood in the corner. 'Women.' he thought.

The guard at the door checks his watch. "Right... good enough."

He unbars the outer door, revealing a tunnel leading out to the sands of the Arena!

Victor eats noting that the door has been opened but not in any particular rush to enter, instead he takes his time with the food letting the others shuffle in first. He acknowledges the other peoples references of him with curt nods or simple blessing such as "May the light shine with you.".

James nodded politely to the clerk before heading through the door. He looks at the other contestants before going over to the food and grabbing a chicken leg. He sat down and started eating it.

"And I'm Mister Bloody Sunshine. Place of birth and next of kin, mister Fizzy."

The man's expression remains neutral, as he regards the fellow in front of him.

"Born in Chienko."

His voice is deep, but not the kind of deep that one would associate with singing or something--just...deep.

"Next of kin: None."

He shifts slightly, leaning in so that his full stature is suddenly quite clear...as if it hadn't already been making itself known.

"May I go in now?"

They seem freshly cleaned out for this event... you could almost eat your dinner off of them. There are plenty of stalls for horses... and a large grassed area to tether more skittish ones.

he parks his cart in the grassy area giving enough room for people to tie up their horses yet keeping it out of the way. He says afew words in his tongue.. and then goes to proceed to use a variety of complicated locking devices to close up his wagon.

With that out of the way he heads around to the arena proper*

Seeing his opportunity to put some space between himself and the armored zealots, Hogarth quickly bows out of the waiting room and heads through the tunnel. "I hope I don't have to spend any more time around those two..."
