(All you have to do is stop and chow down on the leftover corpses. There are no risks, although you can't eat an opponent who has been completely vaporized, or someone who doesn't leave a corpse, such as daemons)

(Is there a limit to how much she can eat?)

While the other's are busy with breaking into secure places, Mani pulls a chair near one of the various corpses and begins doing what Kroots do, but not in a barbaric way; I hope.

(Mani only needs to eat a little bit from each corpse to absorb the DNA, rather than simply gorging herself on the numberless ranks of dead, so no, there is effectively no limit to how many enemies you can eat; only the situation limits you. There are times when it's more important to move quickly than secure your experience bonuses)

Shor'ti spared a glance toward the Kroot in morbid fascination, knowing what the mercenary was going to do, but not being able to permanently avert her gaze.
She was very near stunned when she saw the Kroot sit down and pick up a piece of hormagaunt, neatly cutting off the foreclaws before biting down gingerly into the joint.
'A Kroot with table manners?' She thought. 'I've been trapped on a ship with Gue'lla who'd rather get themselves killed than help an alien, soldiers who turn against their own because they hear voices from beyond, and a man who can hurl lightning from his fingertips, but THIS must be the most bizarre thing I've ever seen.'

Shor'ti, while fascinated at the Kroot's mannerisms, attempts to open the door. Marcus simply folded his arms and watched the spectacle. "You disgust me."

(And how, exactly, does she do that? Disassembling the lock? Activating the terminal? Pushing on it hard? Come on, gimme something to work with here! :p )
A brief inspection of the door revealed it to be a simple electronic lock of the same kind that humans used in all their security constructions. While easy enough to disassemble and open mechanically with a lot of time or the proper tools, at the time they had neither; they were on a ship full of hateful, insane soldiers being raided by ravenous, man-eating aliens. A more expedient solution was definitely in order.

Once finished Mani looked to the group at the locked door, "Ra-ather then sta-are me-e and the doo-or, why not se-et a gre-enade next to-o it and bla-ast yo-our way i-in?" She shook her head, cut a peice of meat from another corpse to take its DNA, then pulled our her lasgun incase any large noises that may follow attracts attention.

(She activates the terminal and tries to open it through the menus.) "I would much rather destroy this waste of electricity as well, but we may need the grenade later."

(Without a single rank in the programming skill, Shor'ti is unable to unlock the door normally)
The Tau groaned when the terminal prompted her for a security key; a twelve-character randomized code to unlock the armory. She didn't know anything about hacking. Unless she was looking at a computer's internals, she was stuck.
Scrolling back to the main menu, however, did reveal other, less secure options. There were quite a few, but among them the most useful were certainly the ship schematics, security control, and ship's log.

As she peeks around the corner, Mani immediately finds that all is not well; a seething mass of rippers had appeared, and was rapidly devouring the Tyranids that had tried to charge the group from behind. The virtual carpet of fanged jaws was unnervingly quiet as they ate their dead brethren, to the point that the ship's ventilation system had drowned out the faint hissing and wet snapping noises from even the Eldars' acute hearing.

The rippers took no notice of Mani, and continued eating the dead with a cold single-mindedness.

Mani backed away from the door quickly making her way to the group, "We ha-ave... lo-ots of compa-any o-out i-in the ha-all." She eyes the exit with her lasgun still ready.

Shor'ti had been considering her options, but at Mani's outburst she sighed to herself and started picking the lock apart. "All my combat training, just so I could be a common lock-pick."

(Trying to open a heavy lock without tools or a spectacular understanding of the technology involved? That sounds like it needs a 6 to me)
(And the roll is... a 1. Bad things happening)
*Snap!*
Shor'ti flinched as the knife she was using dug deeper than she intended, digging into the key circuit she was trying to get to and destroying it completely.

Marcus glared at her. "What did you just do?"
The Tau winced, wondering how best to relay the news so that the gigantic human and the lightning-throwing human wouldn't feel obliged to kick her out into the hall for decoy duty as they escaped.
"There's no way I can break open this lock like this without the proper tools; it's stuck. Unless you have a better idea, we've got to either blow the door open or escape while we can."
Vivec glowered down at the shorter alien. "You seemed quite handy with this primitive garbage before. Now there's nothing we can do without alerting every Tyranid in this section of the ship of our presence?"
Shor'ti glared at the Eldar, feeling slightly safer snapping at them as opposed to the humans. "I can't open that lock." 'And now nobody can, though they don't need to know that...' "And if YOUR only skill is with your brittle, wastefully decorated magic technology, then you can't either. So either find some other solution, or find some cover and prepare to hold off whatever's in the halls!"

"Alright shortstuff, go sit in the corner with your face to the wall. Oh, and magic lover: the answer is yes, we're popping this cork. Since it's still locked, there's a good chance those traitors got splattered before they could get anything out. So everyone back away from the door." He motioned Sebastian towards the door. "Go ahead and use the krak'er, there should be more in there. And since you two are so worried about the puss bags," he smirked, pointing at the Eldar, "You can guard the door."

(Shor'ti fumes off to the wall away from the door, but will check the ship schematics as soon as it's clear.)

(Blowing open the door with a krak grenade! Another roll made... and another 1. More bad things)
*BWOOM!*
After Sebastian took cover, the grenade easily blasted the security door into so many shards of scrap, sending a reverberating booming noise through the halls of the craft.
Marcus winced as uncovered his ears upon seeing that the terminal right next to the door had been blown apart by the blast as well; pieces of metal had been scything into the core of the machine, rending apart the components beyond any kind of repair.
"Well... that could have gone worse. Could have gone better, but it definitely could have gone worse," the psyker mumbled.
Vivek scowled as rippers rounded the corner into the hall. "It's gone worse."

(Please note that the armory is down at the end of the hall, with the mess hall previously entered off to the side; the armory is not actually in the rear of the mess hall. So you're not guarding a door, but rather just the rear of the group)
(Anyhoo, two ripper swarms ten meters from Vivek and Vanya's position. They are in charge range/rapid fire range)
