Ovvar gives one more nod, "...perhaps we shall see peace elsewhere some day soon." With that Ovvar turns away from the man, and makes his way up the cobblestone road towards the Arena. He tugs the brim of his hat back down low, and his cloak flows behind him -- blown by both the breeze and his own graceful steps.

Ginny was silent for a moment, her blue eyes gazing at the woman. Her desire to have her daughter around, and to see her safe was still there, but when combined with her new love of the red-haired seductress... the suggestion didn't sound so bad. "You promise you won't hurt her?", she asked.

"My name is James. I was advised to come here by a Warden."

The skeleton takes another step forward... its bony hand going on the hilt of its sword as it approaches James.

"That is not a purpose. And if you claim it is that I suggest you turn around and let the dead slumber. This is no place for the living to tread without cause."

Behind him, the old man grins. "Good luck, boy..." He goes back to staring at the fountain... small lights dancing along the waters...

Meanwhile. before Ovvar, the buildings gradually fall away to reveal the huge stone ring of the Arena... rising up taller than some castle keeps. There are throngs of people out front... and a separate area with many booths that all sorts of warriors, mages, and mercenaries are lining up to.

The seductress smiles... sending warm tingles up Ginny's spine. She pats her head lightly again. "Of course I wouldnt hurt her... I'm not a monster, you know..." She winks. "In your time of serving me... you will soon realize how wrong your beliefs were..." She gently moves her hand to stroke the young girl's cheek. "Pleasure is not something to be feared and warded against... And that is not the only aspect of my being. I can be tender... compassionate... loving... as well as fiery and seductive."

She leans back in her chair, her ample bosom jiggling slightly. "And not just me... Pride... Envy... Sloth... Greed... you will see things rare for any human to see... rarer still for a member of the church. They all have different aspects to them... things unseen or ignored. Even Rage and Gluttony have their bright sides. But you have to look deep for those ones. Honestly they are a bit of the black sheeps of the family..."

Ovvar glances around. He's safe here, despite being out in the open. If anything were to go down... there are enough folks around that can handle themselves. For once the man relaxes, then proceeds to make his way to one of the booths. One advantage about the Arena is... at least he'll get to show off!

James frowns and lowers his bow.

"Well... my purpose is to defeat the demons I suppose..."

Ginny felt ashamed of how comfortable she felt, slowly working her way through breakfast as she listened to the Seductress. She leaned her face towards the hand as it stroked her cheek, her blue eyes once more drawn to the impressive breasts on the woman's chest. "Okay, I trust you with her...", blushed the child, before wiping her mouth with a napkin as she finished the food, and wriggled down off the chair, onto her feet.

The man sitting behind the booth nods to Ovvar. "Here for the tournament? I need your name, and place of origin. For our records."

The skeleton's eyes flash, and it draws its sword. "To face the dark spirits, one must have a will of iron and a heart of clear purpose! Waver and you shall fall!Becoming a vessel for their dark designs!" It regards him coldly... then turns its blade to point to the largest building in the square.

"If your heart is determined, your will unmovable, and your arm strong... you will find what you are looking for within that place. In the deepest room and the lowest chamber."

The demoness smiles. "Alright little Ginny... let us go through a few things. When in company of others you will call me Mother. We are a noble family from Underbough, I'm currently a single mother looking for a match." She grins at the thought, then looks to her. "Where is your daughter? We should pick her up first."

James meets the skeleton's eyes, supressing a shudder. If this thing was silently judging him, it might kill him for showing fear.

"Fine. Thank you."

He heads towards the building the skeleton indicated.

Ginny blushed, but nodded her head to show she understood, and would obey. Climbing down to her feet, she adjusted the long white dress around her childish body, before looking back up at the red-haired woman when her daughter was mentioned. "She's at the Castle, I left her with Princess... ", she explained, blushing at the memory of kissing the Princess before she'd left.

The man goes about entering into the contest. He might be cautious... but one thing he will not do is lie on official forms. He's better then that! He fills the sheet in with all the factual information, then once done, hands it in. He smiles at that man, "...I think that should be all you will be needing."

[[Trey saw the glow of the serpent's eyes and steeled himself for a magical attack and instead felt as if all his muscles had been made into jelly. His eyes had ten pound weights on them. He shook his head. Now was not the time to become sleepy. "Foul serpent I shall slay you." he threatened even as his sword began to drop, "I could..." he yawned, "I could slay three of you if I so desired...as long as the Shining Lord is with me..."

Gregor looked around wildly as if to see the threat, forgetting he was with this man in a dream instead. "A dark spirit? Where? What will it do?" he asked frantically. "I mean...what can I do? What are strong spirits without a strong spirit user? What should I do?" he asked again shifting uneasily as if he needed to help out Trey from whatever dark spirit the man spoke of.]]

He heads towards the building the skeleton indicated.

He can feel its eyes on his back. He hears the sound of the sword sheathing... then nothing. If he should look back he would see he is alone in the square.

Up ahead, the large stone building sits... the doors to it standing ajar. The inside looks quite dark.

Ickle Harri-chan wrote:Ginny blushed, but nodded her head to show she understood, and would obey. The woman smiles. "How convenient... that is where we are heading." She finishes a last bit of her meal, strutting over to a mirror and touching up her make up. Once done, she nods. "Come here, Ginny... and hold on tight." She spreads her arms wide for a hug, smirking slightly.

The clerk looks the sheet over, nodding. "Good... head through that hallway to the ready room at the end." He points to a opening to the left.

The serpent nods its broad head, its eyes still glimmering. "Oh yess... certaintly ssuch a powerful warrior ssuch as yourself... could make ssshort work... of me. But now isss not the time for battle. Now isss the time... for resst. Tomorrow... I will sstill be here. And you... can do... whatever you want with me then..." Its slow, slithering words sound like a lullaby to Trey. Surely a quick nap wouldn't hurt... he had the demon right where he wanted it after all...

Meanwhile, in Gregor's dream... The armored figure approaches closer, laying a hand on the boy's shoulder. "I can help you... if you let me. I can make you a vessel for my spirit, and give you the strength to fight off the dark one. Here, in the place of my power... it will not be able to stand against me." The figure takes a knee, and Gregor can see he has a rough battle worn face... but kind eyes. "I am a spirit of Courage... I take only that which is freely offered."

James does not look back and walks straight on, slipping silently into the building. He peers into the dark to make sure that there were no nasties waiting for him within,

Trey's bravado was short lived as his knees impacted on the ground and his sword clattered to the dirt. His body swayed back and forth and his mind disengaged from reality. "I...I must be dreaming..." the words calmly spilled from the Knight Paladin's mouth as he looked to the monstrous snake. Squinting his tired eyes to see the beast, he pointed with his very last ounce of strength, "You haven't beaten me. I am...Trey...De-" his body thwumped face first to the ground, unable to maintain consciousness...let alone stand a fight the imminent threat.

Gregor was conflicted for only a moment. He knew, somehow, that if he accepted this offer he'd change his entire life. But there was an evil, a darkness from which he and his master could not escape, that this man was offering to vanquish. "A man is only as good as the cause he fights for and is made better in how he fights for it. As long as you vanquish evil, Gregor, you'll tread the path of valor and courage. Trey's words rang in the boy's head. "Yes. Please, help us..." he stuttered out, almost without realizing as he knelt down as well before the aged spirit. "Help me."

The man nods at the clerk, "...thanks for your time." He heads off down the hallway, and thinks for the moment he should have double checked for the rules. Ovvar will have time for that, he is sure. He tightens his belt, and removes his hat as he goes along... he's inside. No need to block the sun from his weathered face at the moment.

With that he heads into the ready room.
