The Tavern

[Musashi]

Ria gives a little clap of her hands and beams at the girl. "Oh, good! Could you wrap that up to go please? And how much will this all be? I'm sure I have enough.. yes."

[SweetSophia]

"Forrest of Teeth? If you wouldn't mind elaborating for me..." Teras sits down and listens intently to his elder, hoping that this man knows what he wants to know.

[Empusa Sesshi]

The girl shrugs and returns with a rather thick sandwich for Ria, bundled in paper. "Seven coppers miss."

The old fellow leans back. "Now this is just rumor, but there's tale of someone, or something out in them woods turnin animals inta abominations."

[SweetSophia]

"Animals into abominations? That's horrible...that's ghastly...that's perfect! Perhaps I could investigate said rumor. Prithee tell me whence comes this threat, good sir?"
Teras inquired further.

[Musashi]

"Oh, thank you very much~" Ria takes the sandwich and stuffs it into the Special Sandwich Pocket of her backpack, and then reaches into the Special Money Containment Pocket to find PAYMENT.

Digdigdig. Shuffle. Crinkle. Scrapescrape.

"...Only four coppers. Um, I don't suppose you accept anything else as payment, do you? I could perform some magic for you! How about that?"

[Stellar]

"'Scuse me again," Marisa calls the attention of the dwarf after catching some conversations. "That girl over there," she begins as she points to Ria, "What would you have her do if she couldn't pay?" Upon waiting for a reply she watches the unorthodox mage releived she's not the only clueless adventurer.

[Empusa Sesshi]

She rubs the back of her neck regarding Ria. "Umm...no thanks...you can wash dishes though..." ^^;

Teras' food arrives and is set on the table next to him. The old one rubs his beard a bit in thought. "Welp, the forest is just a few hours walk on the southern road, then you'll come across a sign leadin to the forest."

"Hmm?" He glances over at Ria. "Can't pay? Then she works till she's paid it off. Simple as that." The dwarf nods to himself.

[SweetSophia]

Teras lifts a lettuce leaf into his mouth and chews thoughfully. When he swallows he speaks,
"Thank you kindly sir. You've been of more help than I could have wanted. Is there anything I can do for you in gratitude?"

[Stellar]

"Ah. Thank you... Oh, when my food's ready.. Uh could you have it brought out for me?" Marisa gets up and joins Ria's table looking to the waitress, "Hello, uh, how much does she owe?"

[Musashi]

Ria stands up suddenly, finger pointed dramatically into the air. "I'll wash them with MAGIC! In fact, I'll wash the whole tavern! It'll be amazing! Okay?!"

[Empusa Sesshi]

The elderly gentleman shrugs a bit. "Oh no thanks needed youngster, I'm just happy to chat now and again."

The girl looks from Ria to Marisa. "Er...seven coppers.." She blinks at Ria. "Wow...you're a master magician? I bet Keep'd LOVE it if you could help out so much!"

[Goose]

Bruce scratches his head, and looks somewhat apologetic about being misunderstood.

"Ah, hm. The... the seeing is... you... Hmmmm..."

He tries to simplify what he wants to say.

"...No."

Bruce gives a frown, followed by a somewhat light-hearted grin, as if to cheer the young man up.

[Musashi]

Ria smiles proudly. "Well, not /quite/ a master, but I'm almost there! I've been practicing a lot~"

[Empusa Sesshi]

The girl grins and claps excitedly. "Well cast a spell!" ^^

[Musashi]

Ria rolls up her sleeves, then WIGGLES her fingers in the air. "I shall! Be prepared to be AMAZED! I will magically create the rest of my payment~"

She chants some odd words while flailing about dramatically, as mages sometimes do, and finally points at her pile of coins on the table. A bright flash emits from her finger and strikes the table! And when the flash fades, there are her four coppers plus three copperhead snakes!

"...Uh. Um. TADA?! Ahahaha, see, it's.. it's a joke! Hahaha... ha."
