Vanya opens fire, and Mani moves close enough to shoot at the swarms also.

Shor'ti also moves into firing position behind the Eldar. Marcus ignores them and takes a look inside the armory.

(Vivek will naturally open fire.)

(Vivek, Vanya, Shor'ti, Man, and Sebastian open fire; 9 hits, 5 wounds)

Through either good luck or steely discipline, the group's lasguns tore through the swarm, leaving dozens of the tiny creatures utterly scorched and dead among the badly charred halls. A small remainder wriggle forward relentlessly, however, and dove for the eldar the moment they were in range.

(Close combat: Eldar 1 hit, no wound. Rippers 1 hit, no wound)
(Second round: Eldar 1 hit, no wound. Sebastian 1 hit, 1 wound)
Viciously snapping, the tiny fanged rippers tried to drag down the Eldar, who fired desperately point-blank with their lasguns to fend off the swarming creatures.
In a moment, Sebastian stepped forward to the attack, crushing the remaining Tyranids underfoot before the Kroot mercenary got the chance.
Sebastian gave the aliens a withering look for a moment, then snorted. "Fragmentation weapons should have a greater effect upon swarming creatures. Keep that in mind."

In the meantime, Marcus scoured the armory, but was extremely disappointed; evidently the traitors had had ample time to equip themselves before this area was overrun, meaning that most of the gear was either defending the generator core, or being chewed on by aliens.
In the section for combat gear there were only two fragmentation grenades left, three lasguns and laspistols, three chainswords, and four flak vests. Helpful, no doubt, and at least all the equipment was in good condition, but far from ideal.
Looking beyond the weaponry provided a little more hope; there was a pair of small personal medkits along with a small set of tools for maintaining equipment; neither would be any good for fixing any serious damage, but they were much better than nothing.

(Chainswords: Chainswords are close combat weapons, and confer no special bonus, although you can use your proficiency feats with them)
(Flak vest: 6+ armor save)
(Personal medkit: Allows use of the medic skill to heal wounds; two uses per kit)
(Small toolset: Allows use of the repair skill without penalties)

The hissing snarl of more Tyranids came from around the corner; while the traitors were obviously concentrating their defense around the core, the Tyranids evidently had no clear plan for their assault, and were spread around the ship.

Marcus tossed the repair kit to the Marine. "Take care of the busted armor for me, will you?" He started throwing the other items out towards the rest of the group.
(Distribution of wealth! Yay!

Marcus: Flak armor (repaired), 2 chainswords, 2 medkits
Sebastian: chainsword, repair kit, lasgun
Mani: Flak vest, laspistol
Shor'ti: Flak vest
Vivek: Flak vest, frag, laspistol
Vanya: Flak vest, frag, laspistol

Now all should have two close range weapons except for Shor'ti, a laspistol and a lasgun. Once again, complain if you wish a redistribution.)

Shor'ti took a quick look at the terminal to see if it was still funcional. If it is, she will check the ship's layout. Marcus simply grinned and expertly flipped his chainswords. "As if killing xenos wasn't fun already."

(Note: Mani cannot use laspistols. Again, her only weapon options are lasguns - the full rifle version - Kroot guns, and close combat weapons)
(Now is a good time to explain weapon setups)
(Each character can have three weapon setups except for Kroot Mercenaries, who are extremely limited in the amount of items they can carry and can only have one. Basically a weapon setup is a set of weapons that can be switched about on the fly. These may consist of 1 heavy weapon, 1 two-handed weapon and a one-handed weapon, or two one-handed weapons to take advantage of the +1 attack. No more weapons can be carried if they don't fit into your weapon setups, as a character only has so much room to carry weapons along with gear and ammo and whathaveyou. You can use the same weapon in different setups)
(Example: Vivek has a lasgun, a laspistol, and a close combat weapon. He can fire at range with the lasgun, then when an enemy gets close, switch to a pistol and knife and remain stationary to keep firing at the same rate)
(Hypothetical example: Sebastian has weapon setup 1: Heavy bolter, weapon setup 2: plasma gun and power weapon, and weapon setup 3: bolt pistol and power fist. He can decide to use the power weapon and plasma gun setup if he wants to take advantage of his speed, but cannot swap in his bolt pistol in the midst of combat such that he gets his extra attack for having two close combat weapons.)
(I hope that wasn't TOO complicated.)
(On a final note, repairing items takes time, and a proper check. Are you sure you want to sit down and attempt to repair the item now? Think about your options: fleeing in the hope to find a more secure location, hiding in one of the rooms, trying to set up traps, etc.)

Shor'ti shook her head as she glanced at the gutted computer. This machine was never going to be functional ever again.
The snarls got louder.

(The group is currently located in front of the armory door. There is a hall leading to either side of the armory, with no markings apparent. There is also the path leading directly away from the armory, which is where they came from. Along this hall is the entrance to the mess hall)

(So, just to clarify, since there obviously isn't a lot of variation possible in this case...)
Marcus: Weapon Setup 1 - chainsword, chainsword
Sebastian: WS 1 - laspistol, chainsword WS 2 - lasgun
Shor'ti: WS 1 - lasgun
Mani: WS - lasgun, close combat weapon (at present. You may change to two close combat weapons if you wish, but must discard the lasgun)
Vivek: WS 1 - lasgun WS 2 - laspistol, close combat weapon
Vanya: WS 1 - lasgun WS 2 - laspistol, close combat weapon

(can Mani use one of the chainswords?)

"Can I suggest that we vacate?" Vanya sighed steping back to not be on the front line anymore.

Mani grinned but made no comment.

(Sure. Marcus will dual with one of the knives and Mani will have a chainsword.)

"Hold on Marine. You can repair my armor later, we got bigger fish to fry." With the mess hall straight ahead, he turned left and started down the hall. "If my hunch is right, there should be some barracks down one of these hallways. Either we'll find a map or a volunteer to let us know where we are."

Shor'ti winced and mumbled to herself, looking in the direction the snarling was coming from. "Leaving these creatures to fight those other humans? This man is insane!"

"A-at le-east we're a-all sti-ill i-in one peice thi-is fa-ar," Mani grinned as she elbowed Shor'ti and followed the group leaders.

Vanya kept pace, carefully watching their back as they tried to outrun the comming swarm.

As the group rushed through the halls, the hissing noises faded as the creatures failed to catch up, either through their disorganized nature or because they were busy eating the remains of their comrades.

Numerous doors are passed on the way down the hall, most of them locked or leading to places of no interest, such as ration storage, trash rooms, and bathing areas. There was the occasional array of burn marks on the floor from lasgun fire, and a bit of spilled blood, but on the whole there wasn't evidence of any major battles in this section of the ship... so far, at least.

The group slowed when they turned another corner and immediately took noticed of a dead Tyranid warrior lying on the floor, its armor burnt and cracked from the dozens of lasbolts that obviously led to its demise.
Past the dead alien was precisely what Marcus had guessed at: the barracks. There were also voices coming from it, though at their present distance from the door it was too muffled to make out.
Beyond the barracks, further down the hall, was a door labeled as the medical bay... though it was difficult to make out with how the barrier was scorched, partially melted, and barricaded. Pounding and scraping sounds came from the other side of THAT door, and the Eldar could make out an seething hiss amidst the pounding.

Vanya looked between the group, "If I know sounds very well I'd say something vicious has been locked behind the door at the end of the hall..."

(I was wondering how xp is divided cause I'm bored and play enough mmo's to have seen various ways party xp is divided when fighting. Is it based on who gets hits, who gets kills, or does everyone get a share of the xp for being around?)

(XP is divided evenly toward all character in the group at a given time. Meaning that, if everyone stays together, they'll level up at the same time without taking into account bonuses and the Space Marine's level penalty. If one or two characters go off on their own to complete an objective, then they get sole credit for accomplishing/killing things)

Shor'ti shook her head. "I just hope "so far" lasts a lot longer, friend."

"Most likely where the scum is hiding out. They're not just traitors, they're cowards too." Marcus spat on the floor. He motioned the Marine towards the door. "See if you can hear something through that thing." He then quietly went to the barricaded door to find out how it could possibly be opened.
