Robert as he had been taught during his training headed to launch bay. The once boring corridors now looked more friendly and even had the hint of an athmosphere he could call home. He tried to focus on the mission and the prospect of discovering some new outdoors scenery, and also that *GASP*, the communication center of the colony was damaged.

Somehow, he thought, it wouldn't be very different than when back in his university days his cell phone broke and one of his sister did a long trip to check if he was ok. He was thinking of his familly, so many millions miles away, as he noticed he was the first one seated inside the shuttle.

Sal strutted down the hall and admired the ungainly transport. "Here we go again, boys! Let's kick the tires and light the fires!" He grinned to himself as he boarded the shuttle and took the seat closest the door. He couldn't remember where he heard that saying, but he just loved it since he hadn't seen a tire since before he joined the service. Just the right amount of old proverb mixed with gung-ho to get him going. Whatever they would find, Sal would be more than anxious to meet it.

Shivering slightly as the time quickly approached that he would find himself on, of all things--and actual mission--Jack accompanies the others, his steps light--nearly tiptoes--in his nervous anticipation of what was to come. he wasn't the one, he comforted himself--that needed to charge in if combat occurred, at least...

Sam quickly follows his marines into the transport. He's shuddering under his armor. This is real, all the responsibility falls on him. Burdened by these thoughts, as well as the faint nagging knowledge that he's more than capable of the task at hand, Sam waits for the last marine to enter in an almost deathly silence.
Hmm.... Does anyone actually read these anyway?

It is henceforth assumed that all five marines board the shuttle and strap in once their equipment is secured. The pilots flip a switch and report "All the marines are aboard, requesting permission to launch."

"Permission Granted, Shuttle One. Happy flying out there," the controller responded back as the docking bay door started to depressurize, followed by the opening of the main doors. It wasn't entirely visible, but from their seats the marines could see the somewhat stormy planet half-eclipsed in darkness and half-gray from constant storms. They felt the shuttle lift off the ground and begin moving forward, increasing speed as it approached the planet.

'Happy Flying'.

Jack looked out the window, frowning, as he reflected on the controller's words. Clearly, they hadn't taken a very good look at the planet that the marines were being shuttled down to--storm and shadow did not make a particularly welcoming sight to behold.
