/She smiles...and then frowns./

"Uh..I...don't actually usually go to coffee shops, so..."

[Marky]

"Oh, well, umm, neither do I really. Have any other place in mind, possibly?" J.D. asks.

[Alissa of Someday]

"Well..."

/The girl falls silent, her mind racing almost as fast as her heart was, trying to think--think of something that wouldn't make her look like an idot! Something that he would like! Pizza?
No no, that wouldn't do at all. She's just look unrefined if she suggested that. Stupid
Why had she suggested coffee in the first place...? She didn't like coffee to begin with, particularly. He looked like maybe he did though, and coffee was where you went on a first date, right?

A half second passes, as she shoots through a half-dozen other possible venues, becoming slightly more paranoid with each one, but at last, her opens her mouth, not daring at first, to speak./

"...Uh, maybe something...spicy?"

/Looking up away, scared to see the judgment in his eyes, she presses her fingers together nervously, her voice lamely trailing again into silence./

J.D. blinks, pausing for a moment, not expecting Danielle to think about it for that long, or come up with that response. Noticing her reaction after she said that, J.D. figured he needed to probably give an answer, and soon. "Umm...well...sounds good to me."

/Immediately, the girl seems to perk up, looking over to Mark./

"Oh--you really think so? Do you...like spicy foods...?"

[Marky]

((Mark? ))

"Well, umm...they're not really my favorite, but, I like to have some everyone once in a while..." J.D. says, looking over at Danielle.

((XD My apologies--I've been taking too long betwixt posts, methinks...and it shows.))

/Danielle's eyes practically sparkle./

"Really!? Well--uh, let's go then!"

[Marky]

((Heh. It's alright.))

J.D. smiles, seeing Danielle's reaction. "Alright. So, umm...where to?" J.D. says as he stands up.

/Hesitating for juuust a moment,Danielle stands as well, looking towards the door./

"Well...Uh...I think I know a place--we could probably walk, unless you have a car...?/

[Marky]

J.D. pauses for a moment. "Well, umm, I do have a car..."

[Alissa of Someday]

"Well...Are you going to drive me then?"

/She smiles slightly, and then shakes her head quickly./

"Uh--not that you need to though! We can walk if you like--Gas is expensive and stuff..."

[Marky]

"Umm, well, it doesn't really matter to me. We could walk, or I could drive us there...might need to clean out my car, first..." J.D. says a bit nervously.

"Well...Actually...why don't we walk?"

/She smiles./

"It would be...uh...nice..."

[Marky]

J.D. smiles back. "Sure. I might need a bit of a walk, anyways."

/A smile forming on the girl's face, she stands!/

"Well...uh--let's go then!"
