Mirror Relm: Shattered Dream(Sign-Up Thread)

A full story post to shed a bit more light on the 'premise' of this RP will go up (hopefully) sometime tomorrow.

Short version: The Dark Mirror Knight known as Rymar is invading your dimension. (The 'real' world we live in now) While his motives are unclear, it is known that he seeks to unseal the Malice Mirror. If such a thing happens: It's malice will flood the world and devour everything.

To stop him the Rainbow Oricle known as Eliza Gave up her life to errect a set of Seven seals. These seals have created a new barrier around the Malice Mirror. Not only can Rymar no longer get near the mirror, due to this new barrier, but he defently can not find the key to unlocking the mirror's orginal seal.

Obviously Rymar seeks to destory the seven new seals and eventually break the Final True seal on the mirror.

The seven seals are, as expected, all mirrors. One for each of the seven colors of the rainbow: Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Indigo and Violet. Each seal was created by empowering a mirror with a 'rainbow shard'. The mirrors can be any shape, size, or type. From a compact hand mirror, to a full length antiqe mirror.

You the players will create your character to your specifications.

Rules:

Nothing but regular humans. It's fine if they have martal arts experience or marksmanship skills. (Anything believeable in real life) But no half demons, magic users, Ninjas, or samurai and the like.

This is modern day earth. If it's highly unlikely that you'd meet this person in the real world, it's unacceptable. There is a reason for this. (Basically I'm kinda looking for normal teenagers/adults)

Each of you will choose one of the seven colors. One color per person. First come first serve.

Once you've chosen your color you will choose just what type of mirror you're 'colored shard' is in. Remember, it can be any kind of mirror. Be creative.

Rules of the mirror:

The idea of the game is that when the player (That's you) looks into your 'empowered' mirror. It's power causes you're 'inner shelf' to take over your form. In other words: You're body becomes what you invision yourself to be. This is why I couldn't have ninjas or anything running around.

Example: Say you were a 35 year old guy, but you're 'ideal/inner self' is a busty 16 year old blond Ninja girl. The mirror will cause you to TAKE that form. All powers included.

HOWEVER keep the powers under control. I don't want to see any giga slaves or Final Flashes going off that'll destory a mountain.

Obviously you don't HAVE to become female. That was an EXAMPLE.

Another important thing to remember is that once you've taken your 'inner form' there is no turning back. In other words: YOU'RE STUCK.

Be warned: If you also imagined your 'inner self' to have certain personality traits you never had before (but seem right for your new form) They WILL begin to surface. These are all up to you however. It's YOUR inner self.

Last thing is the mirror will be tinted the same color your shard was. So if you chose red, your mirror has a red tint to it. It's also very strong and can't be broken by normal means. (I.E. no matter how hard you hit it with a sledge hammer it won't break) But magical means of course can shatter it.

The goal is to NOT let your mirror get shattered, being that'll break the seal, and could even release you from your powers. But I'm not telling if a broken mirror reverts you back to normal or not. (Something to play with. Some people may not be too sure if they want to live as their ideal self out of fear and may wonder about breaking the mirror in an entempt to go back to normal. But that's up to you)

Generally the 'mirrors' have sought out those with 'heroic souls' so keep that in mind. No going villan.

The forms: I don't mind what form you take, just remember that you will be STUCK that way once you take it.

Suggestions on forms (Or ones I'd really like to see) are: Valkyrie, Magical Girl, and a Catgirl. (weither the Catgirl by the magical girl, or a ninja or whatever I don't mind) Mainly though I want to see those three because I like them. ^_^; You don't HAVE to however.

Also, besides the seven rainbow colors there is also a WHITE shard NOT in any mirror.

If you wish to take on the responsibility of the white shard, you need to PM me. The white shard has a PRE-SET form (Meaning you won't get to choose your form, but you can choose a bit of your 'power')

The white shard is very specail, so only those looking for a challenge/something different should apply.

Oh yes, perhaps the most important rule: NO DOUBLE CHARACTER CLASSES. To be blunt, if someone comes up and says they are going to be a ninja. You can't be a ninja. You'll have to think of something else. Don't think you can have a girl and a boy ninja either. I only want one of each class. One ninja, one samurai, one magical girl, ETC.

Species however, I don't care. You all want to be cat girls? Go for it. Though try not to all be cat girls like that, because I'm pretty sure it'd look strange.

The Rest:

The game will play out with each of you controlling your own character, and if you wish, one additional NPC. (Best friend of your character, whatever)

The NPC may not also choose a color, and will mainly just be there to 'help build plot points' for any 'personal' plot points you wish to make for the character. They could also be used to help move along the main plot if needed. (They could be attacked, something I'll ask about first though)

The idea is that Rymar will be looking for the seven sealed mirrors, and you'll be trying to stop his attempts. Mainly be defeating any minions he summons at first. The details on how he summons minions will be kept a secret for now. :P

Once your character is transformed, a weapon is allowed. But be reasonable. No tanks/tactical nukes/etc. >_>

Assuming I actually get enough people who want to play to fill in all the open spots. If that happens and you still want to play but there isn't a color avalible. Still post here that you want to play and I'll attempt to work something out with you.


That's about all I can think of for now. The 'Introduction post' to the actual game will, as I said somewhere in this post, go up tomorrow (Hopefully). Hopefully by then I'll see some applications. If not, I'll postpone the introduction till I feel with have a good amount of players to start the game.

Melanie is your average 17 year old girl, not very noticeable, without the looks to garner most people's attention. She's smarter than most people her age, performing excellently in her classes. She has an appreciation for the finer things in live, often practicing music and other forms of the arts. She dresses rather plainly, with simple blouses, oftentimes with jeans, and glasses.

She is the eventual wielder of the Violet vanity mirror. Little does she know that staring into the mirror will turn her into Melody, an 18 year old magical girl with music and sound based attacks. (Mainly, she can focus sounds around her into small spheres of energy for attack. The energy is usually no bigger than a baseball, however, if melody puts all her effort into it, she can make a basketball sized energy sphere, although this usually takes a lot out of her.) Melody has pink hair, a bit more beautiful body, better endowed, with a violet fuku outfit, although she often magically changes her outfit as a disguise.

Mel Nada is just a 19 year old laid back person, there's nothing notable about his looks just average build on 5'9 frame, he likes martial arts movies, as for skills, he doesn't really have anything to notable.

As for his transformation he'll eventually wield the green pocket pocket mirrior, which will transform him into the 16 year old ninja girl Maiko. (Just lots and lots of ninja-ish abilities, and two ninja swords.)She has more of a petitie figure and wears a black ninja like outfit, though this seems to contrast with her green hair.

(I could rework this later if it doesn't work.)

I love your roleplays! Count me in, for sure!

Maria Taylor is 23 years of age. She's a little on the short side, about five foot two, and has a figure that verges close to the "pudgy." Her hair is kind of a dark blond, with a faint hint of reddish to it, and her eyes are light blue behind their glasses (she has very bad vision). She's best described as a "geek"- she's a huge fan of fantasy fiction and roleplaying games, and to a lesser extent anime as well.

Now, let's take her reflection self.... Maria eventually gets hold of the "red" mirror. Her mirror self is quite different from her normal one. Specifically, she becomes Mirielle Ta'Loria, an eighteen year old sorceress. Mirielle is about five foot six, with long, thick red hair and deep blue eyes- without glasses. She typically wears some sort of complex and multi-layered fantasy garb, defaulting mainly to a knee-length skirt under something half-robe, half-top; it's fitted to the bust, with love sleeves that flare slightly further down the arm, but has a long "skirt" that flares out all around her like a trench coat, splitting at the waist and hitting shortly above the ankle. The outfit of course includes knee-high boots and some sort of funky circlet headdress, with a red jewel on it. Where Maria tends to be more quiet, Mirielle is quite outgoing- with a tendency towards being perhaps a bit flirty. Something Maria would feel chagrined about.... Oh, yeah, and then there's also the added addition of those soft red cat ears and matching fluffy tail she's suddenly got.... Accompanied by a sudden increased preference for seafood....

I can't say for absolutely certain that I will be able to post as consistently as some, but I will try my best.

Mike is a 17-year-old nervous, brown-spiky-haired boy that occasionally goes to Australia to live with his cousin, Cooper. He's a kind soul who tries not to use violence if he can avoid it. He has a slim figure and darkish green eyes.

He eventually comes across the blue shard, and when it's used, he becomes a tall, straight jet-black haired wolf-girl of about 20 with a pair of black 9mm pistols and an AK-47. Despite their modern appearance, they have magical abilities: i.e., one bullet fired may poison an enemy or heal an ally. Her clothes consist of a sleeveless leather jacket, a red shirt and tight-fitting ripped jeans. She has exceptional speed and endurance, as well as all the perks that come with being a wolf, (smell, hearing, etc.) but not much in the way of strength or vision. She's also a team player and can work off of the strengths of her allies, and doesn't back down easily. She goes by the name of Michelle.

This can be changed if something doesn't work right.

Only problem so far is: "The blue shard of accuracy"?

The shards don't grant specific abilites based on their color. They just bring out your inner self. They also enter and empower a mirror. You can't find the blue shard by itself, it has to be in a type of mirror.

Thought I made that clear. >_<

Only the white shard is not in a mirror, and it's a 'specail case'

Nothing else looks like it needs attension. Firearms are just fine, and as for the "Ninja Girl Maiko" as long as you don't spam your moves (like never being hit because you somehow always pull off a Kawarimi no Jutsu. (replacement technique) It'll be just fine.

Going to see if I can start the main game thread with a bit more story fleshed out to give a better idea of what's going on.

Also more rules will likely pop up in here before play starts. So keep your eyes open.

Won't be able to post a bajillion times a day, but as long as I keep to just this one rp I should be fine. Sounds interesting.

Ray works hard at the auto shop. Sure, he's 20 and just starting out so the other guys don't trust him on the bigger jobs, but he can hold his own. His acne has really started to flare what with all the oil in the shop, and that's not helping him with his self-confidence issues. He just seemed so...average. Sometimes he wished he could be working on some cool new piece of engineering rather than Old Mr. Hubbard's Buick. It all changes one day, when he looks into a yellow-tinted rear view mirror...

And the yellow shard turns him into an android! His acne clears and his frame gets a bit more stacked, but mostly he still looks like the same 6 foot, dirty blonde haired average joe. His eyes do turn from hazel to red, but other than that, his outward appearance is unchanged. However, when provoked, his skin withdraws, leaving his endoskeleton revealed. (minus the cape and axe, of course)

His arms contain all sorts of gadgets and gizmos necessary for him to repair himself and other mechanical objects (given sufficient time and materials). Being a machine, he "understands" other machines and can easily fix, use, and jimmy rig them. Also, being made out of metal, he can take quite a beating and dish it back. (the metal he is made of is of magical origins, ensuring he can keep up with the other magicals around) When not in "attack mode" he looks, feels, sounds, even tastes human. (just like chicken!)

Rather than become self-confident with his new abilities, Ray becomes quite brash. He rushes into decisions without thinking first and often blurts the first thing on his mind, no matter how inappropriate it may be. He still wonders if he is "meeting his metal." (get it? it's a funny!)

Soon as both Kumi and Mendokusee post their characters, I'll unlock the roleplaying thread and let things get started.

I'm going to have a character I control grab the white shard. It's really what I should do anyway.

All spots are now taken, but I can still find a way to get a couple of more players in if we get any.

(So if you know either Kumi or Mendokusee and want the game to hurry up and start. Bug them to finish their characters. )

I think this it pretty good but if you have anything to say Garath I am listening.

Brillton Epock is a 20 year old confident boy he has short brown hair and gray eyes. He is about 5 ft tall with but is on the skinny side. He is a nice guy all around but tends to get easily annoyed by people. He typically wears jeans and a t-shirt and his glasses.

He will find the indigo mirror shard which will turn him into a shrine maiden. She has a curvy figure being 18 years old with long hair blonde girl and indigo eyes. She looses some of her confidence but will be more sincere. She will often find herself feeling a need to clean things. She uses talismans and seals to summon up barriers and to attack with minor effects such as using a seal to summon up a wave of fire or a ball of water. Her touch can purify anything she touches but she cannot control or direct this ability at all. She can sense evil around her, this comes to her as having a bad feeling about a person or object.

See no problems Kumi. Though in time I'd think of a few more 'offense' skills but that's just a suggestion.

You maaaaaaay want to fix the sentance that says

She has a curvy figure being 18 years old with long hair blonde girl and indigo eyes.

(Fix the spelling mistake of course. Nothing wrong with the discription.)

[Mendi-chan]

Jonathan Thompson, Jon to his friends, is a sound 18 years of age. He stands at a tall 6' 6", and has brown hair which seems to be kept quite short. His build is mostly average, but he lifts weights quite regularly and thusly has developed quite a fair amount of strength. Unfortunately, although his strength has improved his muscle definition has not come as far. Thus, he lacks that "body builder" physique. He's a nice enough guy, willing to lend a hand where he sees that one is needed. His passion is the sport he plays, football. Anything and everything football interests him. And although his grades lack in almost every department, he can form the most clever strategies from scratch. Of course, this all changes when the star running back of the team receives a strange full body mirror for his room.

This will cause him to change into a Mystical Knight of sorts. His physical appearance will change little, besides the fact that he will gain the muscle tone that he's worked so hard for. Well, that and the fact he is dressed in full Medieval armor, silver armor which seems to glow in the sun. He'll also find he has a trusty sword sheathed by his side, Excalibur... not Arthur's of course, but containing mystical properties nonetheless. The blade is a double-bladed long sword, intricately engraved markings and runes traveling up its length. The golden hilt of the blade holds a sapphire cross at the center.

Jon will find that his physical strength has increased significantly and a strange inbred knowledge of swordsmanship. Also, eventually he will figure out how to wield Excalibur to its full potential, enabling him to use many magical energy based techniques using the blade.

[Mystic Mina]

Scott Clemens is a 17 year old lad. He stands at a decent 6'1", and has a somewhat lanky figure. His head is topped with a mess of brown hair that he never bothers to comb, and is bejewled with a pair of hazelnut eyes that always seem to have faint dark bags underneath them (most likely a result of his insomnia). He's usually a very friendly and social person, but after he moved into his new town, he began to become more isolated and detached from the community. This has led to Scott being teased by his fellow high school students on several occasions, which only helps to further foster his feeling of separation from everyone around him. There are only a few people who are able to communicate with him on a normal level, one of them being Edward (Garath's character).

After the transformation, Scott will find himself to be very, VERY different. Not only will he have become a adorable little 12 year old girl with flowing teal hair and sparkling sapphire eyes, but he will have gained the ability to harness the power of magic! What kind? Well... We'll just wait and see. >->
