The Island signup/interest

lets see what's this idea number 6 or 7.. oh well I am sure eventually something will catch maybe this will be it. This will be pretty short on the reading. Its a simple concept various people from throughout the world are abducted by a mysterious group and brought to "The Island". There they are watched as they run into various transformative effects.

Characters for this should be what you'd find in the normal world this doesn't mean you couldn't say have a wiccan who believe in magic.. just that its not doing much in their everyday life.

Transformations you have a problem with:While I might tend towards the female form I'd like to keep my options open, I don't intent to get anyone stuck for an extended period of time as something that can't interact. Anyway if you have a problem with something like FTM, Inanimate etc just say here.

Name: Mathew Mclullen

Description: Mclullen is in his forties and in good shape. Clean-shaven with white hair and a a pleasant looking smile. He exersizes and was on his college fencing team; but he doesn't have much in the way of combative ability and he is starting to get a bit older.

Personality: Focused, driven and intelligent. Mclullen is out to fight the good fight; but he has no fear of using questionable means to achieve the right ends. He's not corrupt, but he's willing to spin the truth to get something done. Probably wouldn't order his rivals murdered, but may arrange for a scandal to take someone out.

He's clever and subtle, willing to change his methods if not his ends. He's well versed in Machiavelli as well as Sun Tzu, and Miyamoto Musashi, and refers to the last two pretty constantly.

Interests: Mclullen likes history and the occasional novel; but is too focusted on his work to really make time for anything.

Profession: U.S. Senator from Florida (Dem)

Fears: Failure, guns, needles, his own weakness and fear itself

Greatest Weakness: Too driven. Mclullen has a sense that he knows what he's doing and is willing to do anything to accomplish that. In one sense its a strength; in another sense, the man has little to live for aside from his job. Things that force him to question his morals or his actions could very well destroy him.

Central to Mclullen's beliefs is that most people don't know whats best for them and that he does. He's trying to help people whether they want it or not. To justify that morally he has to believe himself a superior kind of person to the ordinary people. He won't say it or act arrogant, rather it's a standard he holds himself too. Thus he denies he has weaknesses, his fears and struggles to be perfect. Never a good idea.

Greatest Strength: A keen intellect, subtle and flexible yet stronger then steel. Mclullen knows what he wants, how to get it. He is driven to make the world around him a better place. Naturally talented as a speaker and a leader, Mclullen understands strategy and that purity may cost more lives then it saves. He's willing to change his tactics when they show less then ideal results.

Description: A 22 year old guy standing about 6' 1" he has brown hair in a striaght fashion, and an average build.

Personality: As for personality, Kenji likes to be more serious whenever he's doing something important, however he lays off whenever nothing important is going on.

Interests: Gaming, computers, and action movies.

Profession: A busboy at an unmentioned local restaurant.

Fears: Fear of heights, and large bugs.

Greatest Weakness: He tires out quickly when running, as in he's not athletically inclined all that well.

Greatest Strength: As for strengths he seems to know a lot when it comes certain technological things.

Transformations you have a problem with: Permanent mental changes. *i.e. Idenity death* (temporary and partial are okay.)

Personality:He is almost always happy, bouncy or distracted by something simple, He rarely shows others when he is hurt or tired which causes him to overexert himself.

Profession: a Novelist

I hate short transformations, i like them to last a while. Also i hate ditzification, and inanimate.

Name: Todd Mittick
Description: Fairly tall, Todd is a youthful 30, and has light brown hair, and, though he has problems with his eyes, he prefers contacts to glasses, so it's usually not too apparent. Generally, he wears a fairly formal suit, and wears a fancy watch--a Rolex--which he makes sure keeps accurate time.
Personality: A prodigy from a young age, Todd can be a bit short with people sometimes, but generally keeps himself cool and collected nowadays--his early years building the company, there were rumors abounding, anything from calling him an elitist, to a children-hater, depending on their mood. Eventually he learned a kind of artificial patience--and began to minimalize his public appearances.
Interests: An inventor at heart, Todd likes nothing so much as seeing the fruits of his own efforts, really--he's attempted various sports and games, but they've failed to hold his interest, and, unfortunately for him, Todd never mastered suspension of disbelief, so most works of fiction fail to amuse him.
Profession: Todd created founded his own company--Whirlwind Incorporated--at the age of 22, based around internet technologies. it quickly expanded, however, moving into several different markets. By now, Todd could retire...but running the company gives him something to do, more then anything else, and an outlet for his inventions.
Fears: Todd fears boredom and stagnation more then much else really, not including say, death, or bodily harm. He keeps himself busy mostly for this reason, simply to keep himself interested in something.
Greatest Weakness: When concentrating on an idea, Todd can become distracted from pretty much anything else--even if it would be something vitally important. Also, it's been years since he's experimented using less then state-of-the-art facilities.
Greatest Strength: When he puts his mind to it, there is much that he can accomplish, given the right materials to work with.
Transformations you have a problem with: Inanimate isn't something I've ever been too fond of--most things are okay with me, however.

Ok people with ianimate problems is it purely being transformed into something that can't move.. like say a teacup or would animate inanimates work, dolls, robots.. etc

I'll be using a modification of a character I used on a board with similar restraints as what you are using here, except that everyone had some inherent x-men type mutation. I'll be leaving that part out.

Name: Jason Arrings
Description: Blond/Brown hair, depending on how the light catches it as it seems to actually be fading to gray at a young age. Blue eyes. About 5'8" and 300 lbs. In his late 20s.
Personality: Couldn't give two rat droppings about the concerns of the world or those in it. So long as he is left alone he doesn't care. Very much an admitted elitist who long ago tired of dealing with the mediocre people the world is teeming with surpassing him so he gave up trying long ago.
Interests: Video Games, Tech Gadgets, Knowledge of anything and everything without any goal or intention
Profession: Has none. Was once an IT Tech for a small business but after telling his boss to suck it hasn't been able to find a job for about three years.
Fears: Death
Greatest Weakness: Vertigo
Greatest Strength: Willing to learn anything, particularly if it seems to have no practical point at the time he learns it.
Transformations you have a problem with: Other than cow girl (which I find exceptionally perverted and disturbing) I have no problems with any other forms. I've been an inanimate for as long as an entire six month long rp before so it doesn't bother me much, its actually kind of fun getting to make the mental comments and such that they are thinking without having to worry about other characters figuring out what they are saying.

Well, for me personally, I only mind the transformation into something say, that cannot move and has no human, or even animal features.

I don't mind statues, robots, or even say, pictures or something--even if they can't move. Turning into a teacup or an extension cord or something creeps me out just a bit, and I have no idea why, however I try and pinpoint it...^^;;

Name: Solomon Blackburn
Description: A somewhat sickly looking 17 year old lad with short brown hair and bespectacled green eyes, Solomon prefers to keep his tall, yet thin frame hidden under layers of thick clothing even in the hottest of conditions.
Personality: Solomon believes that there is something very wrong with the way society works, so he does everything he can in order to fight against it. Very often will he do things many would consider abnormal simply for the the fact that they are. He means well by what he does, though; Solomon ain't a bad kid, it's just everything else around him is.
Interests: Gaming, reading, and various things concerning the internet.
Profession: None, since he is a high school student.
Fears: Though he would never admit it, Solomon fears being left completely alone. He just can't stand the thought of not having someone around, even if it's someone he utterly despises.
Greatest Weakness: Solomon can be quite stubborn at times, a trait which can get very, VERY annoying.
Greatest Strength: Solomon's greatest strength is his willingness to break the rules and defy the authority. Some may call that his greatest weakness, but he doesn't seem to think of it that way. >_>
Transformations you have a problem with: I'm pretty much fine with anything. Well, almost anything... I would rather not be a chair or something like that.
