Magical Sailor Fuku

"Did they really have to involve the whole city in this event?" David Eddy, resident whiner, grumbled as he pushed his way through the now geeky streets of the city he had recently started calling his home. Things had been crowded before, but ever since the announcement of that Monster Slayer! launch party, the city had been overrun with fans waiting for this very day to come. Banners were hung everywhere, hot air balloons, you name it, all advertising the stupid game. David had never seen the appeal in the games outside of the fact that all of the monsters were in the shapes of cute girls... but then it made the fact that you had to slay them rather painful.

He rounded the corner on the way back to his apartment, when he suddenly collided with a boy. More specifically, he had collided with his roommate. "Ouch! Watch where you're- oh, hey David! I was just going to check out the big unveiling they're doing down at the square, you want to come? Man, this place just feels so thrilling!" That was right, Reid had been looking forward to this because he thought it'd be different for a change. Seeing little reason not to go, David agreed.

...and in the end, he wished he hadn't. All it was, was some dry old man explaining the game and all the challenges they had to overcome to complete it. Eventually, he began getting audience participation, though. "The person to get this next question right will receive a wonderful prize! A limited edition copy of the game! These are very rare folks! So who can tell me which species of winged monster nests and sings?" The question was stupid. The answer was clearly a harpy, but it was just a matter of seeing who would say it first.

"How troublesome," Chu Yao-Yun muttered from not too far away, quoting his favorite anime personality. "This is pointless... I could have waited for this to come out in stores just like everyone else. I mean, it's not like playing some playstation game ten days early is going to make a difference in my life... It's not even a fighting game."

Chu had been excited when he received his "lucky" participation invitation, of course - sure, he was a fighter and a competitive gamer, but this series was legendary. Now, however, he was rather irked; he would much rather be discussing combos and tier lists with his peers at the Evolution International Fighting Game Expo than sitting around with a bunch of perverts who liked games with busty girl monsters. And now, there was this speech. "Harpy," he half-yawned, scratching his bare arm in boredom. Honestly, for such a momentous release, this was sure a snooze-fest.

Donald stands in the back of the crowd. "It's a harpy" He says, but probably not loud enough for the man to hear him. "What a stupid question." Getting here was a nightmere enough with having to fly in, but now he had to listen to an old man who thought we had the IQ of a six yearold, it didn't put him into a good mood.

Standing amongst the crowd, Mark, along with probably a bunch of other people, didn't look too impressed. Mark thought to himself. The answer is harpy, of course, but, c'mon...what is with this?! Sighing, Mark waits for someone to answer the man.

*Alexander leans against a nearby wall and looks on. What was the big deal of this thing anyway?*

"*Sigh* what is going on here?" Alexander asked.

Rein sits in the back of the crowd yawning as he knows the awnsers harpy but he dosent bother saying it as he looks around at everyone looking at all the different kinds of people

"Ah, yes! See, now this is what makes you young folk so special. You don't hesitate to answer!" This old man was annoying, David decided as he turned to leave, only to find the perimeter surrounding by men in suits holding big sacks. "Well, as a reward, all of you visiting here at this moment will get a limited copy of the game!"

"Oh joy..." David sighed as he was handed his copy, in it's limited edition tin. "A new game for the PS3 we don't have." What exactly was that company gaining from doing this.

"Those with a red sticker on the back of the game will also receive something extra special: entry into our super special party later this afternoon, don't miss it!"

David flipped the game over, noticing a red sticker, while Reid had one as well.

*Alexander flips his game over.*
"Oh cool! I have a red sticker! I just wish I had A PS3 to play it on." He says.

Don turns over his game and sees....... a red sticker! ((What a surprise)) "Hurrah." he says unenthusiastically. "At least there might be food and all." He says.

Chu chuckled as he noticed a red sticker on the back of his new game. "Joy. Super special party..." However, the more he started thinking about it, the more the idea appealed to him. Several big names had worked on this project - a small number of which had manned his favorite fighting games... If he could talk to them, then it would certainly be worth attending. He glanced around, his eyes scanning for someone -- anyone -- he might recognize.

*Alexander sees Chu and goes over to him.*

"Whoa hey there Chu! It's been a while since I have seen you. What have you been upto lately?" He asks.

Mark looks at the game in his hand. "Oh, joy. Now if only I could afford a PS3...gah. I hate it when new consoles come out. I always am one generation behind on these, or catch up right before they bring out a new one..." Sighing Mark flips the game over, seeing the red sticker. "Well, I guess this is a plus..."

"Aren't you a sight for sore eyes," Chu laughed upon seeing his old friend. "This is one, uhh, interesting event, huh? I thought that guy would never stop talking..." He flipped his free copy of the game over, revealing his red sticker. "You get one of these, man?"

rein sighs "thank god i got a ps3 " he says flipping the game noticing the red sticker he looks around "where is the party?" he says out loud but quiet enough to were noone should have heard

"HELL YEAH! I got it! WOOOO!" Dan shouted into the air as he raised his limited edition copy high above his head, a look of achievement on his face. Sure, the question to get it was easy as hell, but c'mon! He had a limited edition of one of the most popular games of all time! What's there not to be happy about? Besides, now that he has it, he can challenge one of the other winners. Surely there had to be some pros in the group, right? "Wait, they said something about a sticker too.... Yes, I GOT IT! SWEET! I'm going to be kicking some ass this afternoon! YEAH!"

Dan's shouts of glee could be heard from miles away....
