Mystery of the Shunkashuutou [SIGN-UP]

Okay, I'll be able to maintain this RP, since I don't really have anything better to do with my summer. I kind of wish other people's RPs weren't so far apart so I could join some other than my own, though. XD
Inspiration drawn from the series Higurashi no Naku Koro ni. So shoot me. XD

Plot

The village of Arurae has always been an oddity in the world, even as far as legends and myths are concerned. Located in rural Japan, this country abode has always been plagued with a local legend. You see, the male to female ratio in Arurae is a little obscure, what with the female population being nearly double that of the male one. The townspeople use this fact to their advantage in the telling of the local legend.

This legend states, that one day hundreds of years ago, the men of the village angered the local God, whom out of distaste placed a curse on the men of Arurae. The legend states that ever year, on the night of the town's Shunkashuutou Festival, the lives of up to ten men will be taken. And, as if true to the curse, one to ten men have gone missing from the village every year. Strangely, however, the same number of unknown young women appear but a day afterward, usually with no memory of their name or place of origin. Some claim to be the men that disappeared, but the fact that it's absolutely impossible usually leads to them being ignored. However, the village normally adopts these women into their little society either way, allowing them to live peaceful lives. In recent years, the number of tourists coming to see the Shunkashuutou Festival have also increased, and the curse hasn't bothered discriminating and has claimed the lives of some foreign men as well.

It is all very strange, and it wreaks of conspiracy, but nobody has bothered to investigate it. After all, it could anger the local God if one were to interfere. There was one youth, however, aware of almost everything. The son of the temple's priestess, a boy of 16 who has kept an eye on this curse nearly his entire life. If there was anyone who could prevent the curse from claiming more lives, it was him and the spiritual power he inherited from his ancestors.

Well, he was the prison that held the dreaded God itself, after all...


Your Role
Whether you're there to see the festival, you live there, or some other strange reason, you find yourself in the village of Arurae on the night of the Shunkashuutou Festival, when amidst the festivities you suddenly feel something summoning you into the forest surrounding the village. When you arrive at your destination, a strange shrine amidst the trees, you are quickly drenched in a strange fluid, before falling unconscious. When you awake a day later, you're quick to realize that the legend of a curse Arurae possesses was a little more than a legend! It's up to you to attempt to unravel the mysteries behind the curse, reclaim your past self, and rid the village of the curse once and for all. Since, hey, what do you have to lose after losing your junk?

• I'm only accepting 9 participants other than myself. I'm not really in a position to post 8 bajillion times a day right now, so I want to keep things as calm as possible. However, I'm not accepting the first nine that sign up. I'll be picking nine based on quality.

question, are there going to be multiple time loops of the same events like the series incase there's a bad end? cause i mean the whole thing with that series was that 99% of the ends were generally bad and it took them hundreds of horrible deaths before they got the good end and ended the 'curse'.

Appearance: 5'8 wears a pair of baggy black pants and wearing a pair of black skater shoes his upper outfit consists of a white t shirt with a black skull on the front along with a black jacket that he always seems to be wearing the hood he has sky blue eyes his skins a slightly pale white his hair is short but comes down covering his left eye and its a silver color
Personality: hes usually the quiet one of a group hes really only talkative around people hes known for a long time hes shy so hes never had a girlfriend hes hard to anger but hes slightly more emotional then the average guy and hes easy to scare due to always being scared when he was younger
History: throughout (sp?) his life hes always been the oddball of any group so hes never actually been in a group through his life hes always kept a couple of close friends but they slowly drifted off some moving and other reasons at the age of 18 he heard about the Shunkashuutou festival so he decided to go since there was nothing else to do since he didnt have anything else to do

No, I only took the basic premise, but thanks for spoiling the series for anyone who might want to watch it.

didn't really spoil anything other then the fact that it's a time loop which is apparent after like the first 5 eps. If your playing the game the set up plays differently but general premise is the same. The fact that it's multiple paths and extremely bloody is implied like everywhere you might look up relevant information on the series.

interesting concept but it just seems like a akward series to use for your base.

Name: Lucas "Guy" Jeroschevitz (yer-OH-shev-its)
Age: 20
Brief Appearance: Average height and build, tan skin, blue eyes, long dark hair, red baseball cap turned backwards, green hoodie, white shirt (usually with a pizza sauce stain on it), green baggy cargo pants, digital watch.
Brief Personality: Laid back and very friendly, and also fairly lazy. Not the supersticious type, he doesn't buy into the whole "curse" thing. While not the smartest of individuals, he has a decent memory. His "surfer dude" accent and demeanor sort of grate after a while: He insists on calling everyone either "Guy" or "Dude", and likes to be called such himself. He also has an unhealthy obsession for classic rock.
Brief History: Hailing from Honolulu, Hawaii, Guy came to this small town because... well, because he could. He had some "extra dough" and nothing else to do, so he hopped a jet to "wherever" and the rest is predictable. He's an ameture surfer, and also enjoys fishing and water skiing.
TF Likes/Dislikes: Hybrids/anthros are good, specifically wolves, foxes, or cats. Nothing inanimate, please. AP/AR is okay within reason, but no more than, say, five years. Also, no huge mental changes, just a few (like his preference to music or something).

Name: Tane Takasu 種 鷹栖町 (Read Takasu Tane in english cultures)
Age: 16

Brief Appearance: Takasu looks more or less like your average Japanese teenagers living in a rural environment. His dark brown hair is long, but not long enough to be considered feminine, as it is tied into a small ponytail that reaches his shoulders, none of his bangs brushing his almost shaped and coloured eyes. He is clad in the uniform of the local highschool - a white dress shirt with an evergreen tie and beige dress pants, the school's emblem embroidered into the chest of his shirt in gold. As for build, Takasu is a rather average height, with his muscles somewhat toned from working on local fields for money.

Brief Personality: Takasu is a seemingly cheerful boy who works hard an expects little in return. Of course, that's because he is the son of the town's Priestess and is expected to uphold such a role. In secret, however, he has been pursuing the truth behind the events in relation to the Shunkashuutou curse, this topic being one of the few things he will become dead serious about - the other being his mother's safety. He knows more about the curse than anyone in the village, though he doesn't make the fact known due to his other reputation. His reputation for housing the soul of the God that placed the curse - the reincarnation of the god of Arurae. At least, that was the role of the first born son in the Tane family. There was no real proof to support this theory, of course, just religious blabber.


Brief History: Takasu is the son of the Tane family, those who run the shrine in town. His only family is his mother, the priestess.
Transformation Likes/Dislikes:
Like: AR (to a minimum of ten years old), AP of only a couple of years, subtle mental changes, doll/robot TFs, also okay with inanimate as long as they can move, humanoid monster TFs, BE, butt expansion, pretty much everything not below.

Name: David Eddy
Age: 19

Brief Appearance: David is 5'11" tall, with short red hair and blue eyes. He is often dressed in a brown hoodie and pair of blue jeans. He isn't exactly the most fit of people, which has resulted in him not really having a lot of muscle, and a slight gut which is mostly hidden by his usual attire.

Brief Personality: Not exactly the world's biggest social butterfly from living in the middle of nowhere most of his life, David only recently began to get involved in social outings recently due to his parents forcing him on a trip to Japan. He's the type of clumsy, careless person that you'd be surprised to learn hasn't been in any major accidents over the course of his lifetime. He's easy to get along with, but only because he isn't the type of person to take charge. He's more of a follower than a leader, and he doesn't like to start unnecessary trouble.

Brief History: Forced on a trip to Japan by his parents, David doesn't really want to be where he is. Things become worse for him when he gets lost and stumbles upon Arurae on the night of the festival.

Name: Chiaki Ikenami

Age: 19

Brief Appearance: Average height, and a bit on the skinny side. Chiaki typically wears jeans and a green hoodie with his name written on the back in yellow. Has short and spiky light-brown hair and dark eyes.

Brief Personality: Chiaki's usually pretty relaxed, if slightly lazy, and enjoys gaming in his free time.

Brief History: Chiaki recently moved out his parents' place, and came to Arurae to look into the legend, mostly out of boredom.

Transformation Likes/Dislikes: I can work with pretty much anything, as long as full mental changes and inanimate stuff aren't involved. I do have a fondness for demons and animal-girls, though.

[Maiden Miki]

Name: Mako Ando
Age: 20
Brief Appearance: Mako is a tall Japanese young man with lightly tanned skin. His hair is a darker shade a brown that is a little on the long side, at down to his ears but it doesn't cover his brown eyes. Mako is on the skinny side but likes how baggy jeans fit on him thus most of the time he would wear a pair of blue cargo pants with a belt to hold them up so they won't fall down. Mako wears a red t-shirt under his unbutton blue long sleeve shirt that has his university's logo on it.
Brief Personality: Mako is a bit lay back type of person and only gets serious when something big is about to happen. He is a smart young man and a hardworker when it comes to things outside of school since he knows that what he does outside of school tends to be heavier reflected upon by others. Mako is nice towards others, especially to young women to the point where he is kind of a gentleman-in-training. Still when he doesn't know what to do tends to unrattle him a bit and leaves him unsure about what to do.
Brief History: [optional] Mako has just ended his second year of university studies and is on a summer break to the village of Arurae where he heard hosted a festival every year.
Transformation Likes/Dislikes: I am pretty much open to anything except heavy age regression. A few years is ok but not anything that involves becoming a little kid.

[Blaze]

Name: Zachariah Fort (or Zach for short.)
Age: 19
Brief Appearance: Zach is a tallish, slightly pudgy guy with curly brown hair. He's kinda pale and wears square-rimmed glasses. He wears a long sleeved forest green shirt and black pants with a red trim and a black belt. He wears a backpack full of books, some fiction, some non-fiction (the non-fiction ones have to do with medecine.)
Brief Personality: A daydreamer if there ever was one, he frequently stares into nothingness and zones out of conversations. Despite this, he is quite studious and can read through a book in a day that would take a week for some poeple, but only if he really concentrates. He is also an avid gamer and tries to rationalise everything with his knowledge of biology, physics and chemistry.
Brief History: He is taking a trip overseas before going to university to study medicine.
TF Preferences: I'm okay with anything except heavy age progression/regression, complete mental rewrites (partial is okay), inanimate or weight gain.

Name: Auron Glade
Age: 32
Brief Appearance: Auron has a 5' clock shadow, blue eyes, and short spikey hair. He wears a big jacket to keep him warm during the long nights. Also some baggy jeans and a pair of boots.
Brief Personality: Auron is a responsable and likes a nice challenge every now and then. He also likes peice and quite and very loud stuff usually gets him in a bad mood. He is very social, especially when he goes out for a drink.
Brief History: Auron works as a 24 hour open fishing goods store manager, next to a lake. Buisness is just above ok since the lake is very popular with turist especially at night. He's taking a short vacation in order to release some stress from everyday life, he hopes to enjoy his free time.
Transformation Likes/Dislikes: Nothing that deals with animals. Pregnant, or exagerated traits. Everything else is ok.

[Falka The Bat]

Name: Markus Dillin
Age: 18
Brief Appearance: Markus is tall and well groomed. He wears his hair short and his cloths well. He has dark eyes and light brown hair, his skin rather pale.
Brief Personality: Some people say that if you find that your child has amazing intellegence, you shouldn't tell them. Markus is proof of this. He is a fasinatingly smart person, but also a fastinatingly arrogant one. He is an eceptional stratagist.
Brief History: Markus's life existed mainly in private schools, environments where no one could match his intellegence. As a result, he was struck by an amazing sence of apathetic bordom. He jouneys to the festival to try to find meaning in an otherwise dull life.
