I like the host of female attendants and a few male. Gives a sense of mystery as to how those guys remained male in the first place. As for rides, I think there should be plenty. It's not necessary for it to be a "Theme" park either. One of the funnest rides I've ever been on was at a park in Germany where the main attraction was an aviary. A few ride suggestions, partly to make the people want to stay, and also to make things seem a little interesting and different:
A set of small racing jet ski coasters. You pull a string, the coaster pulls you up to the top of the slope. You pull another string, the coaster drops you off a jump and into a large pool of water at about 50 mph. Set up a line of them in a row and you can have head to head races, splashy fun and a little bit of rollercoaster thrills. [this was the ride I mentioned before, at the german park]
A dueling roller coaster. It's two tracks, simple enough in their design. They run side by side, only one of the trains has the seats in reverse! Its racing AND a scare in one!
A variable-height drop tower. If you've ever been on Disney's Tower of Terror, you know what I'm talking about. Only this one is open air, and you can feel it pull you to the starting height.
Go karts. Nuff said.
The ever awesome rapids ride. You know the one where you can fit eight people in that round raft looking thing? It looks like you might have control over it, but you never do, and one person always gets soaked to the bone. For the rp, you might have to shrink them down to 2-4 seaters.
I've got more. But there is still the point of making people stay. Unless Neph has a plot involved concerning some sort of trap or something, I'd say that is easily solved. Dangle a cure in the people's faces. They know this is magic from the nature of the rides and from what has happened to them. They aren't going to get a cure anywhere else, and they'll follow that carrot on a stick if positioned in the right way.
Any other questions, children?
