The Forest of Teeth

Once it comes in sight you're struck by the reason they call it the forest of teeth...approaching it seems like any other pine forest, if one that stretches on for what seems like forever. However as you get closer you notice a second, identical forest above it, like a giant reflection. However if you're particularly keen-eyed, you'll notice birds moving at the top that don't move at the bottom. Looking at the two forests they look like the teeth or fangs of a giant maw.

Ria grabs both her fellow traveler's hands and SHAKES them. "I'm Ria! Nice to meet you!"

As they approach the forest, she stops and gawks at it. "Wow, it looks like a giant MAW, doesn't it?"

"Er...odd terminology, but I'd have to agree, Ria." Teras agrees "There seems to be a duplicate forest on top of it... maybe I should check this out."

Bowing to his party, Teras in an instant races to the first tree he comes upon and attempts to scale it quickly to examine the top.

Marisa stands in awe of the forest(s). "How.. wow..." After a few moments of staring she walks closer following Teras as he charged the forest.

And Ria skitters in after them, following closely behind Marisa. "Maybe it's an illusion. Maybe I should try to break it with magic!"

From his perch atop the tree Teras can see well...the top of another tree about forty feet above him. He can't see himself or his companions on the above tree however..

If any of the three are particularly woodslorish, they may note that this half of the forest seems very quiet.

"Nono, I don't think that's nessicary," Marisa replied to Ria as she got to the base of the tree Teras had climbed up. "See anything," she called up to him looking into the deep forest.

"It seems quiet. A little too quiet." Teras says, bounding out of the tree and landing on the ground.

"It doesn't seem to be an illusion from what I can tell, or a reflection. Up there, I can at least see some birds fluttering, some signs of life. Down here there's just quiet," He relates to his comrades, "Perhaps we should press on. "

"Yes! We should press on! Maybe I could do my speed spell, and we can press on even faster!" Apparently Ria is a bit oblivious to the fact that she really really sucks at magic. >_>;

As the young trio makes their way into the forest, the unnatural stillness remains unbroken save their foot steps. After a few minutes of walking you hear a loud hissing sound coming from the trees above!

"Save your magic for when there's trouble, and from the sound of it, it may be soon. Does anyone else hear that hissing?"

Marisa nods and draws her bokutos hoping they meet something to fight. "Do you know what it is?" she asks looking around ready to charge anything that seems threatening.

"Well, I can't tell from this range. I could try to find out..." Teras says, "I can try my language abillity. It theoretically communicates with animals."

"SPEAK" Teras says loudly and with colored itallic font.
"Hello? Is someone there?" He attempts to communicate in a different tounge.

Ria gets out her MIGHTY STICK OF FELL-OFF-SOME-TREE and stands ready for battle!

"Don't worry, whatever it is won't be a big deal! I can just send it to another dimension! Or set it on fire!"

Marisa stares at Ria for a moment, "... With your magic... You'd probly make it bigger and stronger."
