Question: do you have to have watched this series to participate? I ask because some time ago, I was researching the genre as a whole to see if anything in it might interest me, and in reading about this series, got an idea for a roleplay set-up. I got involved here not long afterwards, and posted said idea in the random notions thread under this topic. I didn't know whether by some chance you might have see that and had it inspire you, or if this was a completely original notion. But when I got the roleplay idea, I also got a basic idea for a character who insisted I draw her, a fox girl. This might be a good chance to use her, if being a fan of said series isn't a prerequisite. Please let me know, okay?

Oh, okay. I have a basic understanding of what it's about; I read some stuff when doing research, as I said, and also downloaded clips of transformation sequences and attacks to watch (I like Zakuro's transformation; flames, guitars, and flipping gymnastically through the air are all fun. ) I've also seen an AMV or two. I just need to try to remember what character stuff I had determined. I'll put down what I remember now, and get the rest posted when I remember it. I'd written down names on the outfit sketch, which I think I might have to scan in (as I have other art to do and don't know when I'll have time to color it), but I want to show people the costume I have in mind. But here's what I know thus far.

Name: Cassia Todd
Code Name: Cinnamon (are we doing the "food names" thing with this?)
Age: 15
Animal: Fox
Hair: ginger (a little redder when transformed), worn in a ponytail either way
Eyes: Green (for now; that might change when the picture eventually gets colored)
Costume when transformed: A red a-line mini-dress, sleeveless, with a split front to show another underskirt beneath it, very slightly longer; the overdress has an extra seam down the middle, and a "rhomboid" neckline; think like a square, only with the sides slanted in towards the collarbone and the horizontal part making a small v instead (don't worry, I'll illustrate this later); the neckline, arm holes, and the bottom of the overdress are all trimmed in cream-colored piping. The outfit also features detached "floating" short puffed sleeves, red gloves that extend 3/4 of the way down the arm (also with an extra seam down the middle), mid-calf red boots, a red garter on her left leg, and a choker. All these are also trimmed in the same cream piping.

Weapon: Staff (as yet undesigned)
Personality: Cassia is a cheerful, energetic tomboy with a definite sense of playful mischief. Typically taking an upbeat approach to life, she seldom has malice towards someone unless they truly deserve it; but if they do, watch out! The playfulness can disappear in a minute, replaced by a veritable virago. She currently plays baseball and soccer, though she takes gymnastics lessons as well. Cassia happily describes her wardrobe as "somewhat bipolar." In other words, she could be wearing a sloppy t-shirt and jeans one day, and the next be kitted out in a funky chain-draped miniskirt and some sort of equally funky top. She does tend to gravitate more towards the casual end of things, but hey, as she says, where's the fun in life if you can't be a little unpredictable?...

I modeled the outfit around the ones seen in series clips. Let me know if you plan to have the transformatiom medallion on the choker, okay?

Okay, just so you know, I just updated my character profile post to include weapon choice, personality description, and a couple of minor costume edits, along with a scan of the basic costume sketch, since I know my description was detailed and perhaps a bit on the fashion-technical side.

Is that good, or bad?... It's not required. Heck, you could always ask someone else to do it, if you're not artistically inclined. I've had this drawn for about a year and a half, now. (For the story as to why, see the first post I made in this thread.) I joined largely as an excuse to use the design that jumped up and insisted on being drawn as I did research.
