Magical Sailor Fuku

Humanity had found out the world wasn't as cut and dry as it had once thought only one generation ago. Almost 10 years ago an event occured in which other entities begin to come to Earth. As such, people begin to discover that magic and the like were indeed possible, rather than being only the practices of lunatics and crazies. Most of the events of the time are considered generally classified and a good deal of people now believe the rift to have been nothing more than mass hysteria. For those that know better, be they in high standing or descendants of clans that still practiced was was once dead magic, the creatures and knowledge from the other side continue to flow even now. As such, a school was formed to train those who would seek out to control the now viable forces of magic and lost knowledge. Raleigh's College of Exeperimental Science is one of the prime schools teaching this new trade.

The school stands in a medium sized city on earth, or at least that is where it appears to be. More of the students truly come from beyond the rift in reality rather than earth, but the school is more than willing to teach the freshly exposed humans. Please sign up since a new school year is about to start and the longer humanity is exposed to this rift, the more the knowledge of magic will need to be known.

Raleigh is sitting in behind the registration desk waiting for the new students to sign in for the new year. "Hm.. I wonder how well the locals are taking to the events of the past few years. Hopefully more of them will get trained before the greater consequences show themselves. Right, signing in students." He stands up and begins to call for everyone to get in line and begin signing in for dorm assignments and class schedules. "Please come in an orderly fashion and we will get you all set up and settled before classes start tomorrow."

*Kai appeared from the shadows and shoved his way to the front*

I am here to join your school.

I jumped up beside Kai

I guess these two decided that "orderly" meant people other than them, Thora thought as she carefully approached the front. As others seemed to be put off by the enthusiasm of the first two, she quietly stepped into line behind them. She felt a little conspicuous, being at the front like this, but she needed to register, and was certainly not about to wait for a herd. Just relax. No one is going to take you for a bumpkin. I've been too careful about negating that impression, after all.

*Kai shot a nasty look at everyone in the room as if to tell them that if they messed with him they would be hurt*

Thora was somewhat taken aback by this completely unprecedented response to the other students. Well. Good thing I wasn't set on talking to him. I suppose he thinks he's being macho or something.... No other reason I can think of as to why he would glare at an entire roomful of people who haven't done a single thing to him. She glanced back at the rest of the room. I hope at least some other people are friendlier than that. If all city kids have a chip on their shoulder the size of a mountain, this is going to make for a very uncomfortable school term....

*Ricky appeared from the back.* "Umm...if I'm not interruptting anyone I'm here to join your school."

Okay, at least this one's not trying to look like he's going to bite us if we so much as move wrong.... That's an improvement.... "Well, this is the line," Thora said. "These two got up here before us, but hopefully the paperwork won't take too long, and you can register soon."

OOC: Here's a basic idea of what she looks like, though the hair isn't pulled over her shoulders like that, and the eyes are more grayish:

"Calm down you two. I don't suppose either of you were hit with a time spell recently? Okay, just sign in your name and desired classes so I can set you up with what you need." Raleigh tries to avoid laughing at such antics and it some what shows in the sparkling humor in his eyes as he keeps a staight face. "The rest of you, I recommend you get ready for when these two are done. Please relax and keep calm. Once I assign you to your schedule, feel free to roam about the grounds and get a feel for the layout."

*Kai signed his name and checked all the martal arts classes, attack spell training/mastering, and, for an unknown reason, home ec.*

Josh Checked, Conjuration, Alteration, and Elemental Magics.

*Kai handed the person the sheat and left without a word*

Ricky looks at the classes sheet, and signs up for healing, defensive, and light magic classes.

"I hope that's good enough." Ricky said looking at the classes he chose in question.

(I can change it if necesary.)

Thora headed up at the same time, signing up for introduction to elemental magics, intro to weather manipulation, and magical self-defense, among a smattering of more typical high-school oriented courses. "Is this acceptable?" she said.
