An amusing puzzle

[Raleigh]

*Raleigh can be found at a booth inside of the mall here in Muffinville today. The booth seems to be set up like one of those free sample stands where people try out new product samples to see if they might want to buy some. Raleigh is sitting behind it drinking a glass of tea while watching for people to step up and see what is going on. One the right hand side of the stand is a vial of golden potion with a sign that says Mind under it while on the left is a similar vial containing a silver one with Body written before it.* Greetings ladies and gentlemen. *He sets his glass of tea down in the center of the stand.* I present to you a most amusing puzzle I have on occasions offered others a chance to solve. Each vial you see here on the table will grant you absolute mastery over its indicated property. The dilemma is that you can only choose one and only once. Choose wisely as those who have chosen wrong in the past have had unfortunate fates afterwards and not by my hand either.

[Blindsense]

Lance arches his eyebrow as he overhears Raleigh's peculiar puzzle. He approaches the stand, examining each vial. "...So what's the point of this?" he asks, clearly intrigued.

[Jello Shot Mischa]

Mischa walks over to take a look as well! "Hmmm, body control? Tempting... although I should really know better than to accept something from you, Raleigh," he says with a smile.

[Raleigh]

It is merely a game to pass the time for me. I want to see what the people of this realm value most I suppose you could say. Do you think the body or the mind are ultimately triumphant? Will you pick either, none, or some other option not spoken or considered? I won't elaborate as to what absolute mastery over either would entail as that would be influencing your decisions which I won't do in this case.

Mischa, you wound and yet amuse me with that comment. I'm always trustworthy save for when I'm lying my arse off after all.

[Circe]

Mischa walks over to take a look as well! "Hmmm, body control? Tempting... although I should really know better than to accept something from you, Raleigh," he says with a smile.

*Sireen walks in behind Mischa.* I'd have to agree with you there. This all seems a bit risky for my tastes.

[Blindsense]

Lance glances at Sireen and Mischa, nodding warily. "Definitely... These kinds of things are practically guaranteed to backfire somehow." He extends a hand to Sireen, smiling a bit. "I don't think we've met, by the way - I'm Lance."

[Circe]

*Sireen takes Lance's hand.* Sireen. A pleasure, I'm sure.

[Jello Shot Mischa]

*Sireen walks in behind Mischa.* I'd have to agree with you there. This all seems a bit risky for my tastes.

Mischa smiles, and hugs the djinn! "Hello Sireen!"

He turns his attentions back to Raleigh for a moment. "Well, at least you're honest about the fact that you lie," he says with a mischevious grin. "In my case... I've never been that keen on the idea of manipulating my mind, I suppose. Manipulating my body seems much more entertaining. Although I don't seem to change my form that often in any case..."

[Blindsense]

*Sireen takes Lance's hand.* Sireen. A pleasure, I'm sure.

Lance nods. "The pleasure is mine. So, are you well acquainted with this Raleigh fellow and his schemes?" He asks, glancing warily to the little stand before turning to Mischa. "...Just be careful, okay?"

[Circe]

Mischa smiles, and hugs the djinn! "Hello Sireen!"

*Sireen smiles.* Hello, Master...

Lance nods. "The pleasure is mine. So, are you well acquainted with this Raleigh fellow and his schemes?" He asks, glancing warily to the little stand before turning to Mischa. "...Just be careful, okay?"

Oh, just vaguely.

[Jello Shot Mischa]

Mischa smiles, and hugs the djinn! "Hello Sireen!"

*Sireen smiles.* Hello, Master...

Mischa grins. "Your presence always makes me smile, Sireen." He gives the genie a fond squeeze.

Lance nods. "The pleasure is mine. So, are you well acquainted with this Raleigh fellow and his schemes?" He asks, glancing warily to the little stand before turning to Mischa. "...Just be careful, okay?"

Mischa laughs! "I know Raleigh well enough to know he likely wouldn't do anything too serious to me." He pauses, thinking. "Although I recall getting sold to him as a paperweight once." He laughs again, this time a bit nervously. "But my reality is fragmented enough that I don't think any permanent harm could come to me..." he admits.

[Raleigh]

I can't permanently harm any of you actually assuming you are a PC anyway unless you challenge me to a full on fight directly. If that happens then the protections are removed thanks to cosmic 'well you asked for it' kind of rules entering into play. Even if I could what would it matter in a world like this with death having a revolving door policy? Now that we've established I'm virtually harmless what decision are you all at least leaning towards?

[Blindsense]

Lance shrugs, his attention once again focused on Raleigh. "Honestly? I'm indifferent. If I had to pick, though, I'd pick body... Controlling someone's mind seems way too dangerous."

[Circe]

Mischa grins. "Your presence always makes me smile, Sireen." He gives the genie a fond squeeze.
