Reign of The Corrupter

[Bigmouthstrikes]

Across Muffinville, Rockets rained from the skies. They hit populated areas. One struck the market, another in the park. One landed in the residential neighborhood and one outside city hall. As they landed, they opened, and thick, dark clouds spewed from them. Where they released, they rose to blacken the skies. Red lightning fell and winds raged. A creature emerged from the clouds in the sky as they merged to form its shape. It had red eyes, many heads, and seemed to defy Euclidean Geometry. It bellowed a roar that sounded like that of a thousand dying animals and its heads belched a purple haze that descended across the city. Monsters of all kinds began forming int its many mouths and were dropped to the ground to wreak terror on the citizens.

A nurse walking home from her hospital found some of the haze. As it hit her, here eyes turned red, her clothes became more scandalous, her figure more pronounced and her gaze wicked and evil. A knife appeared in her hand and she suddenly gained gained an urge to corrupt those around her. Her friend and coworker watched in horror before she was pulled into a kiss by the corrupted woman, and was soon turned into her servant.

A schoolgirl outside of her school had picked up a sword and begun fighting for her life against the monsters encroaching on her school. As they made a retreat from her, the purple haze overcame her and she fell to the ground coughing. When she emerged, she stood corrupted, as the nurse before her. She turned to her classmates with and evil gaze and summoned against them the monsters she had been battling moments before.

The streets turned to panic. Nuns became demon girls, cheerleaders became zombies and many of the good people of Muffinville simply became evil versions of themselves. Natasha and Nathan fought monsters away from their business while Julia made her way toward the tallest building in the business district. Dr. Brightwall did her best to defend her lab, but she was being overrun and was in dire need of rescue. Julia II, in the bakery clutched the wall of her shop in terror as Light (who had up until this started been enjoying a cup of coffee) expelled the encroaching beasts from the storefront. Rosetta flew her broom down the street zapping any of the monsters she could.

The reign of Y'gthlugflth the Corrupter had begun!

Elliot had been in the bakery with Julia when things went down. Rushing to the window, he pressed his hands and face to the glass watching the corruption of the nurses. "Wow!", he gasped, his eyes widening at the kiss. Glancing back at the terrified baker, he got an idea. "Don't worry, Julia. I'll protect you". Running to his back pack, he pulled out a miniture metallic shield that was perfectly round in shape, pale blue in colour with a white E across it. Slipping his arm through the grip, it rapidly grew, ending up larger than a bin lid! Next he pulled out a silver metal cylinde, and with a flick of a button, a green beam shot out from the end to form an energy sword!

Ashley groaned as he watched all this happen. "Greeeaaaat, so much for the chance of it being lazy or something. This is why people shouldn't mess with amulets that have eldritch abominations sealed in them."

"Now really, do you have to turn on your classmates just because you've become a little evil? Don't you have any class or restraint?"

*Breathes deep and exhales while walking down into the mess.* Ahh, my kind of situation. A shame I have to help stop it as I love these scenarios myself. Guess I'll go help this Brightwall character since there might be some interesting things that way. *Looks toward any incoming monsters with an ever widening grin.*

Dr. Sara Brightwall's lab was being overrun by creatures some of them were flaming hell hounds while others were reptilian demons. Either way, she was batting them off with her gadgets and appeared to be having a great deal of trouble with it. Where was her bodyguard anyway?

As he approached Light's side, he shifted into his Summoner form.

"Are you here to help?" Light asked in a sweet voice. "I think you'll find I can be of good assistance."

Stepping out through the front door, Elliot rushed to Light's side just as he transformed into... a cute girl. His eyes widened and blushed as the warrior-turned-summoner spoke to him. "Uh I was kinda hoping... look, just stop them getting inside, okay?", he said, lifting his shield up slightly, glancing back and forth between Light and the wicked nurses. "Man... why did they have to be so hot... ", he muttered.

(( I know the CTC can be troublesome, so for now I'll just make a token appearance... :3 ))

As the eldritch creatures start to spread across Muffinville, terrorizing and corrupting innocent civilians in their wake, the local CTC forces start to react. CTC drones spread across the city, hovering above the combat, observing and recording the apparent capabilities of the monsters and the rate of infection. The few armed CTC forces in the city do their best to begin evacuating civilians towards more easily defend shelters, fighting back against the creatures with electrolaser rifles and railguns. In the skies, a few CTC vertols provide air support, although they're careful to stay away from the monstrous creature that seems to have been the source of this scourge.

[Raleigh]

*Shouting out "Run or Die!" in draconian language, Raleigh jumps into a group of the reptilian creatures first. He pauses just long enough to give them a chance to do as requested before the temperature around him and the group begins to steadily plummet.* Let's see if you are cold blooded or not.

[Blaze]

Blaze soars over the streets of Muffinville, gas mask on her face and assault rifle under her arm.

''Oh yes~ This will be a fun day.''

Inserting a magazine of holy ammunition into the assault rifle, she starts swooping down above the corrupted hoards and opens fire on them!

As Julia makes her way through the business district, she would hear from a side street an odd hissing and put-put-put sound. This is soon drowned out by zombie moans, which them themseves are drowned out by a louder *WWWWWWRRRRRRRRRAAAAARRRRRAAAARRRRRRRR!!!* Sound, along with laughing.

"Right you undead lunkheads! Lets see how you deal with this!"

Looking down the street would reveal Dact, in the center of a zombie horde... a huge grin visible under his helmet as he sweeps a large chain sword back and forth... decapitating zombies left and right.

Lance was really beginning to wonder why he lived in this part of town... Not that he could sell his apartment in this economy anyways.

The black-haired youth was standing atop the roof of his apartment building, actually - watching his property value go way down as all manner of unsavory creatures started to flood the streets. With any luck, he thought, the birds around Muffinville would be immune to whatever was doing this - because he really didn't feel the need to leave his roof any time soon. His eyes drifted to the sky, catching a glimpse of Rosetta as she flitted about on her broomstick. At least she could run air interference, he thought as his grip tightened on the spare metal pipe in his hand - he was stuck waiting for the zombies and such to learn to climb.

She then lunged forward, swiping her sword at her. "Y'gthlugflth shall conquer!"

Ashley rolls his eyes as he dodges the sword swing and points a finger at the girl, shooting out what appears to be string that attempts to bind tightly around the girl.

The string succeeds in binding the girl, as well as providing the Carzazel the Cat of a Thousand Eyes (picture behind her) some amusing entertainment. As it pawed the bound girl for her loose string, Ashley would find a superb chance to escape!

She swooped down at high speed directly toward him with her arm hanging out. This could only end one of two ways....

"Come here, I need your help." She said. "I've got a group of survivors pinned in that building over there and another really big swarm coming up the street. We need to start getting them to some barricaded place before that second group of walkers gets here."

The lowering of temperature slows down the reptiles greatly, but the hounds bound over, increase the power of their flames and heat them right back up! It would appear the hellhounds would have to be dealt with first...

As she made the warning, the building in between the bakery and the beach exploded as a sea monster exploded out of it. It roared directly down at them and its tentacles plunged through the building!

High atop a nearby observation tower Lord Bones, Criminal Mastermind, observes the corruption spreading through the city.

"It would appear an Eldridge Abomination has set up shop within the city," says Bones, spying on the Corrupter with his spyglass. "I think we should give our extra dimensional guests a warm welcome. Ladies, prep the cannon if you please."

He turns to a pair of women dressed in Meido attire standing next to an antique cannon.

"It will be done Bones-Sama" says one, a buxom brunette curtsying, along with her partner a petite blue haired girl.

The two girls arm the cannon and aim it towards the one known as Y'gthlugflth the Corrupter.

"Ready? FIRE!"

Dact looks over to Julia once he is done with the hoard of zombies, bits of them lying in a small pile around him. He listens to her words, nodding. "Gotcha. I'd be glad to help." He smiles. "Been way too boring around here... glad to have something to do."

He shoulders his stil put-put ing sword and follows her!
