Pt. 4: A New Hope?

He continues to glow, and soon flames start licking around him. The Mary clone can literally feel the heat from the top of the building... it isn't that much, but that does say a lot about the tempurature Shay's at right now.

[KonokoHasano]

The wind picks up once again, this time turning Francesca's back toward the direction of the Hasano Mansion. Suddenly, Mary pulls her hands back as wind begins to gather around her and in her hands, compressing and compacting, until, suddenly, Mary sends the full force of it at Francesca, which sends her flying away, toward the Hasano Mansion. "FORE!!!" Mary yells, as she watches Francesca fly away, giggling a bit.

Of course, it probably doesn't take long for Francesca to get there. XD

"Agh, damn thing!" The clone curses, slowing her run a good bit, looking down at her leg, worriedly.

The clone growls. "Perhaps...but the fact that you decided to lead us in here, instead of go and outright attack us says something." She says, before suddenly trying to charge up ki blast once again!

Turning toward the one shifting to slime, the clone acks as she is covered in the Kono-slime!

And it's not just her leg that does this, her entire body seems as if it's starting to feel numb!

"Yeah, I decided to give you guys a tour of underneath the greenhouse. Kind of neat, isn't it?" Konoko asked, disappearing from the path of the ki blast and appearing in front of Mary again, her arms blurring at a hard to see speed for various parts of the clone.

"To be honest," The slime Konoko began, "I really don't have nothing against you, Mary. I'm just helping someone in need." All around, her body lashes at Mary in the form of hundreds of sharp, pointy spikes.

Mary giggles a little bit. "And here I thought you knew a lot of stuff around here. See, Mark is...ALMOST gone. There's just two left...the original, which I have, and then one clone remaining, which I need. And since I'm sensing some things off toward the Hasano Mansion, I have a good feeling Konoko might just know. So, if you would be so kind, please deliver him to me. And, here, I think I'll help you on your way."

"Drats," said Francesca as she was flying knowing what Mary had already told her. Still she seem to be whispering a bit as soon some sort of rainbow color hole appear in the air. Francesca had flew into it and then another portal had appeared at the front of the Hasano Mansion. Francesca soon lands on her feet out of the portal with both hands and looks as if she didn't got in a fight.

"Come on...I am going to need you," said Francesca as she looked at the portal above.

"Huh...very interesting." Standing there for a moment, suddenly the clone decides to send a wave of water down upon Shay from above!

And it's not just her leg that does this, her entire body seems as if it's starting to feel numb!

The clone groans and pauses for a moment as her entire body is starting to feel numb. "Damnit...what is this stuff?"

"Tch..." is all the clone is able to say, before it tries her best to fend off the blurred attacks at her with just her axe.

And the Mary clone is skewered! This leaves just two left...for the moment!

However, back over with Mary, she grins and quickly teleports over to Sam, taking down the field that had stopped the flow of time for only Sam and whatever entered the field, quickly knocking away the hand of Francesca's that she cut off, and knocking Sam out with a blow to the side of the head. Grabbing the unconscious Sam, Mary grinned a little and quickly teleported away, her prize in hand.

The water hits Shay! But it instantly evaporates... and he's only getting hotter! The Mary clone would actually feel an uncomfortable amount of heat from where she is!

"Coming coming," said Mike as he fell out of the portal and closed behind him. He looked around and said, "So you got beat..."

"Whatever. Just miscalculations," said Francesca as she looked around and saw the Greenhouse. She looked at Mike and he nodded as well to say he realize that something was going on there.

"Still we can't go in...Unless we want Konoko to attack us or something," said Mike as he stood there.

"A very strong paralysis poison." Another Konoko clone said from behind Mary all of a sudden. "Quite strong, really." Her hand lashes out to pierce clean through the clone's body.

Konoko ducks and lashes out with a kick towards the clone's stomach!

"Coming coming," said Mike as he fell out of the portal and closed behind him. He looked around and said, "So you got beat..."

"Whatever. Just miscalculations," said Francesca as she looked around and saw the Greenhouse. She looked at Mike and he nodded as well to say he realize that something was going on there.

"Still we can't go in...Unless we want Konoko to attack us or something," said Mike as he stood there.

"Hey Francesca, Mike." Usagi said as she appeared, looking at the two.

"Hey Usagi," said Mike with a smile. "Mind telling us where you mom is. I have a feeling she is busy with some trouble on your house but yeah."

"We need to talk to her about something," said Francesca as she looked at Usagi.

"Yeah, there's some issues that she's taking care of." Usagi said, scratching her head a little. "What is it that you need?"

"It involves Mark and Mary." said Mike as he looked at Usagi.

"I am sure she knows a bit about it herself," said Francesca as she looked in the direction of where she came from.

"Francesca had a run in with Mary," said Mike as he tips his hat.

"Tch..." is all the clone is able to say, before it tries her best to fend off the blurred attacks at her with just her axe.

And the Mary clone is skewered! This leaves just two left...for the moment!

The clone, unable to react quite well due to the paralysis poison, is suddenly skewered with the attack! That leaves just one!

Which just got kicked in the stomach and doubled-over from the attack, that might have sent her flying a good bit!

((And, gonna let you two do the part with Francesca, Mike, and Usagi for the moment.))



Meanwhile, a couple of hours later, somewhere outside of Muffinville, in an unknown place, Sam groans a little as she slowly begins to wake up. "Ah, finally. I was wondering when my prize would awake." Hearing this, Sam immediately shot her eyes open. However, she found herself blindfolded, her mouth taped, and her body tied up to a chair. Immediately Sam began to struggle and scream, despite it all. Before she could do this for too long, however, a forceful hand suddenly slapped her right in the face and then another grabbed her hair and pulled her head back.

"My my...you are quite the feisty one. However, I would prefer if you would calm down. No one can hear you scream from where we are, no one that you would want to, hehe. I brought you here...for two reasons, one, to show you something, and two, for you to give them this location...so I can set a trap, and end this once and for all. Now, are you going to cooperate, or do you really want to die today?"

Pausing for a moment, Sam tried to say something, somewhat calmly, although she was trembling a bit. Noticing this, Mary slowly pulled the tape off of her mouth. For a second, Sam considered screaming, but thought against it, and slowly stammered. "I-I'll c-cooperate..." Grinning, Mary let go of Sam's hair. "Goooooooooooood."

Suddenly, Mary slowly turned and moved Sam's chair a bit, which caused her to tremble, not sure what was going on, before, suddenly, the blindfold was taken off. Blinking and slowly trying to adjust her vision, Sam looked forward and saw something...glowing? Shaking her head and trying to get her eyes to focus, she looked back and saw she was currently in a dimly-lit room, but it was fairly large, a second level to it going around the walls even. She couldn't look back, and when Mary found her looking around, she forced her head to look straight forward.

Trembling a bit and closing her eyes for a moment, Sam feared the worst, before she slowly opened her eyes once again, and saw what was the source of the glow. It was...a tube filled with liquid, and there was a person inside, a good number of tubes attached to him, along with a breathing mask. He even seemed to be wearing some clothes. Despite the dimness of the room, the glow from the bottom of the tube showed just who this person was. It was a man, who looked just like so.

Blinking, Sam stared at Mark, a look of complete confusion on her face. "Tell me, do you recognize this person?" Pausing, Sam thought there for a moment. So many things had happened to her since she had been here, her memory needed a bit of jogging, but, finally, she shot up straight and looked over at Mark in shock. "M-Mark?!" Standing behind Sam and having let her head go, Mary was grinning from ear-to-ear. "So I see you recognize your dear old cousin, hm, Samantha Adams?"

Hearing her name, Sam looked back over to Mary in confusion. "H-how do you know my name and how I-" Sam couldn't finish her sentence, as Mary quickly cut her off and finished it for her. "How you're related to Mark over there? Call it a hunch, call it a familiar spiritual energy that I sensed from within you. But there's no mistaking it now. You are, indeed, our cousin." Looking at Mary, Sam blinked, once again a look of confusion on her face. "Ah, yes, you don't quite know who I am, do you? See, I was once exactly like your cousin over there...a clone, actually. However, I didn't have his morals, I didn't have any of his good traits. Thanks to the random nature of the splitting bean, I became the evil clone of your cousin, and I was quickly outcast. But fate wouldn't leave me to roam till my death. No...I found an axe, imbued with orange energy, and then ultimately became the orange avatar. Since then, I have made it my goal to assimilate every clone...and the original as well."

Sam looked on in disbelief, glancing back over to her cousin, trapped within the tube. "Unfortunately, the damn original over there was quite smart when Christmas came around last year, locking himself in there, which protects him from magic. Believe me...I've considered nuking the damn thing, but I don't want to kill him, and nothing magical has worked against that damn contraption. The damn clone that became the genius of the bunch fixed him and the original up one of these. Sadly, I was too slow to take advantage on taking them both by surprise, and the genius got away. However, I've had him in my possession since then. Only problem? A damn password that is the only way to get him out of there. Now, Samantha...I bet you are wondering why...just why I brought you here for this."

Sitting there, still tied up, Sam could only listen and nod, looking at Mary in a mix of worry and fear. "I brought you here...because I want you to go back...tell the clone where the original is, as I know without a doubt he has been wondering all along. Tell him and get him to come here. Only he knows the code, and he knows, no matter what, that for this to end, the original has to be freed. And tell him, I'll most certainly be waiting." Grinning, suddenly, Mary loosens the bindings that were holding Sam onto the chair, effectively letting her go. Slowly but surely, Sam stood up to her feet, rubbing her wrists a little bit, as she looked back at Mary in confusion.

"You're just...gonna let me go?" Sam asks. Mary slowly nods, before pointing over toward a tile with some odd markings on it. "Step on that, and you will teleport to the entrance." Pausing for a moment, Sam glances over to Mark one more time, before slowly heading on over toward the tile, stepping on it. Suddenly, after a bit of a woozy feeling, she finds herself at the entrance. Looking back, she sees a fairly long hallway behind her, but in front...is that...the outside?! Running, Sam quickly darts to the exit and finds herself outside of Muffinville, on the edge of a hill. Looking back, the entrance slowly closes up, showing to where it pretty much blends in with the rest of the hill. Frowning at this, Sam then slowly makes her way back to Muffinville, which looks to be a good few miles away to the south.

Meanwhile, back inside of the underground base, Mary immediately sets things into motion. "Prepare the teleportation blockers and get that beam in working order! I want to give them a surprise as soon as they walk in the door!" Mary then breaks out into a cackling laughter as this scene begins to draw to a close.

Shay suddenly explouds with firetastic fury, incenerating a good 10 blocks in each direction! The Mary clone can feel the heat from it. Standing in the center of the now crater is a glowing Shay... but he seems... diffrent... he has a tail sprouted out of his back, and he has fangs and claws. He turns instantly to the direction that the Mary clone is in, and rushes toward her, fire speeding up the way! He's going to be there in no time!

"It involves Mark and Mary." said Mike as he looked at Usagi.

"I am sure she knows a bit about it herself," said Francesca as she looked in the direction of where she came from.

"Ah yeah..." Usagi said, giving a nod. "Kind of sounds like one huge mess and everything. Though why are you two involved?"

[Damn impressive as hell all of that is, Mark. o,O;;]

"Because that damn Mary took my daughter and I sure as heck want her back!" yelled Francesca as she shook her fist. Mike on the other hand looked relaxed and had used aura to hold Francesca back.

"In less angry terms. It seems like Mary had taken what could be consider my niece hostage and Francesca wants me to help her out," said Mike as he nods his head. "We were wondering Konoko could help us out."

"Because that damn Mary took my daughter and I sure as heck want her back!" yelled Francesca as she shook her fist. Mike on the other hand looked relaxed and had used aura to hold Francesca back.

"In less angry terms. It seems like Mary had taken what could be consider my niece hostage and Francesca wants me to help her out," said Mike as he nods his head. "We were wondering Konoko could help us out."

"She took Sam?" Usagi asked, sounding worried. "Well... come on inside; mom's currently dealing with some things elsewhere, but I'm sure she'll be back quickly enough." She proceeded to lead both of them on inside.
